I see CSRSS:EXE no CSRSS. EXE in the Manager of tasks/processes.

The Task Manager shows a curiously named similar to csrss.exe process but has a colon (:)) in place the dot (.).) This is what is coming: csrss:exe

I can't find its location far, when I click on 'End process' standard task manager warning appears on other processes might be affected, but if nothing else.   Search came with the help of two default folders with this csrss.exe.mui which although similar, has the (.) not the colons (:)).

Can someone help me know if there is a virus/trojan/malware or if it's the real deal, the csrss.exe file?

Thank you!

Fred

I can see it running in the Manager of tasks as elementsautoanalyzer13.exe but didn't interrupt the process in the case where he assigned to the program.  There must be a way inside the adobe program to turn off because I turned it on by clicking with the right button on an image in the editor of the first, and then when you are prompted, he said he would run in the background and I said okay, now I can't stop it! .  It appears in earlier versions of first items under Edit-> Preferences-> media analysis you could uncheck it to turn it off.  But there is only a media section and in this tab, there is no automatic Analyzer to be seen.  Thanks in advance for any advice

Where are you looking for in organizing elements 13/13.1 that you do not see Edit Menu/preferences /-media analysis that you do not see the options of AutoAnalzyer.

    Organizing elements 13/13.1 preferences...

Please point out where you find a command to run AutoAnalzyer in the background in 13/13.1. If I right click a file, I see AutoAnalzyer perform what seems to be a time run command automatic Analyzer of a file.

When he puts an end to Firefox 3.6.6 firefox.exe continues to turn, visible in the Manager of tasks (XP) and stimulates the activity of the CPU up to 60% with the danger of overheating. Have not found an appropriate response with the search term "abnormal termination of the program."

    This has happened

    A few times a week

is after update of Firefox 3.6.4

I have the same problem with Firefox 3.6.6 except that it also consumes massive amounts of CPU during the race. This version also adds a new process on your system. I am running XP and in the beginning I tried to disable some plug-ins. Always consumed too much memory. I went back to version 3.6 and the new process went, and the CPU consumption is way down. Something is wrong with the latest version of Firefox, I never saw behave this way. Revert to a previous version (Filehippo) and you will see the difference.

  • VM can't see that 2 CPUs in the Manager of tasks on Dual Quad - Core ESXi

I use ESXi 4.0 on Intel ICH7 Council.

ESX Server sees 2 PCPUs and 8 vCPUs (without hyperthreading). It is a system of double-quad 2.5 Ghz.

I assigned 4 vCPUs to install a VM and installed XPx64.

After installation, the Task Manager shows only 2 processors.

The Device Manager shows 4 processors.

Device Manager displays Multiprocessor PC ACPI x 64

When I max the ESX virtual machine CPU tops out at 5 GHz used on 20 GHz maximum, so only 2 hearts are used by the virtual machine.

I installed the VM tools and restart - no change.

I reinstalled the driver ACPI - no change.

I checked the mobo BIOS and all the VT type parameters are enabled, which is how I could get the ESXi to see 8 procs in the 1st place.

I connected the ESXi Server vSphere and installed XPx64 using 8 processors.

The VM shows still 2 CPUs in the Manager of tasks and now 8 in Device Manager.

Is there a restriction that I am not aware. I tried a 2nd Server ESX 4.0 (no ESXi) and it shows the same behavior on a double-double (4 physical) processor.

I don't know what the problem is. I know XPx64 supports more than 2 processors as I installed directly on the Board that ESX is installed and reached 8-processor in the Task Manager.

Someone at - it any other ideas? Thank you.

I believe that XP Pro supports only two physical casings, although it recognizes other nuclei (or HT).  There is a setting that you can change in order to have your vCPUs appear as kernels rather than separate half-bridge processors.

usually in the earlier version as 28, so I end the process "firefox.exe" task manager and run back the firefox, it will restore the tabs normally I opened (websites that I had until I stop the firefox.exe)

  • Sometimes I see UpdateTask.exe running, then it stops. What is it?

I always open Task Manager.  Sometimes I see UpdateTask.exe running, then it stops.  I tried to search using the search tool, but it is not found.  It makes no sense at all.  It was called UpdateTask.exe, wouldn't you find when I searched using this name?

    original title: updatetask.exe

    Hi RAM,

UpdateTask.exe comes from the ask.com toolbar. If you don't want this toolbar, you can Uninstall from the computer. Search for the file in the following location: %ProgramFiles%\ask.com\updatetask.exe

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  • Portege will extinguish after iTunesphotoprocessor.exe gets the CPU to 100% usage

    Hi all

I am having a problem with my Toshiba Portege and sync with my iPad2.

I'm syncing large amount of photos to my iPad, when synchronization progess is at the stage of optimization photos iTunes runs two processes iTunesphotoprocessor.exe and the CPU usage is 100%.

The Toshiba fan then runs at full speed until the immedialtey of the computer turns off.
It is not a normal shutdown of Windows 7 64-bit. It's an energetic power loss, while the Toshiba is on a/c.

I can reproduce the same with my iPhone 4.

I thought I should use a USB hub with an adapter separated instead, unfortunately, there is no difference.

It is not only synchronize photos that it occurs also when I sync movies and only iTunes.exe running at 100% CPU usage.
Which brings me to the conclusion that the iPad draws a lot of power of the Toshiba until the laptop is on its knees.

I use external drives (not USB powered) and can copy a lot of data without any problem.

Perhaps worth mentioning that I have improved the Toshiba two months ago for Windows 7 64 bit and installed all the 64-bit drivers found here on the forum with the upgrade of the BIOS.

    Any hint is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion this has nothing to do with the power supply or the power adapter plugged.
The iTunesphotoprocessor.exe belongs to the iTunes software and in my opinion this software highlights the laptop CPU s that cause automatic shutdown!

This means that it is not a problem of laptop but the Apple software.
I m not sure if it s a compatibility issue with 64-bit Windows system, but he s certainly an iTunes problem

So, in my opinion, you need to reinstall this software to see if that would help
You can uninstall this software from the system and could clean the registry with CCleaner, it helps to clean the registry
After that and after new restarts, you can try to install a version compatible 64-bit iTunes maybe it helps
