I see my modules installed when you start in safe mode?

Hello

I just want to know if I should be able to see my installed modules / extensions when I start firefox in safe mode. I will or I don't...?

Thank you

 Alex

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to do a check of compatibility or to see if there is an available update compatibility.

    1. Open the Firefox Options tab as follows, click on the menu button

  • Computer hangs, reboot, can only start in safe mode

Original title:-i can only start in safe mode

Ive tried to use several restore points but when I try to reboot the computer freezes and I have to start in safe mode

Safe mode is a mode where Windows works only the bare minimum programs and processes necessary to the performance of your system.  When you start in Normal mode, many more processes and applications running.  At least one of these programs or process causes your computer to crash.  If your task is to identify this program/process and, at least temporarily, to prevent it from running at startup.  Microsoft has a tool that you can use to selectively disable or or the process that normally run at startup called "msconfig".  It can be a long and exhausting iterative process of turning things off and restart to see if it you fixed program, but that's what you do:

"How to solve configuration errors by using the System Configuration utility in Windows XP"

First, disable all items "start-up".  If it does not, set it to 'Services '.  If this does not work, then reactivate some of them and try again until you zero - in on the culprit.

  • Error loading C:windows\mstapox.dll, when you start Windows XP

    Originsal title: error loading

When starting, I get the following message: error loading C:windows\mstapox.dll

    Does anyone have a solution?

There is no file with this name in XP.

In addition, there very few dll that must be load in the c:\windows folder and is not one of them.

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

If that's really what you see, then your system is now or was hit by malware.

It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.  If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

You must be sure to solve the problem and not just fix the symptom of the problem by simply relieving your message - system is not a fix (there is a difference).

If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry
. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can just turn it off, restart and if the problem is resolved and things are functioning normally and everything works fine, then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that your system has or has had an infection, follow up with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

MsiExec.exe * 32 keeps trying to install when I start my computer

    Hi id75080

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!

When you get this error? You try to install a program? Or just come to the top when you restart?

    Try these steps and check:

Step 1: Stop and restart the Windows Installer Service.

    1. click on the Start button or press the Windows keyboard.

    2. in the search box, type Services and then click on the Services element that appears at the top.

    3. expand the Services window and then scroll down to Windows Installer.

    4. right click on the Windows Installer list item and then click on stop, right click again and then click Start.

Step 2: Unregister and re-register Windows Installer.

To do this, follow these steps:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. in the Open box, type msiexec /unreg and then press ENTER.
    3. click on start and then click Run.
    4. in the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

    Step 3: SFC Scan

The SFC utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a sfc on the windows vista computer scan. To run a scan suite sfc as follows:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

NOTE: you must log in using the administrator account and try to install it like that. Or you can also try running the program by right clicking and select "run as Administrator". It should work.

Step 4: Utility Windows Install CleanUp:

Windows Installer CleanUp Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

NOTE: , We can have only a single anti-virus installed / running on your computer at any time. Conflicts, system crashes and frost can occur if you have an Anti Virus installed and running on the computer.

    Step 5: Windows install

We need to install the latest version of Windows Installer that is 4.5, the link to it is:

First of all, note that you should be concerned all the programs
starts automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray.
Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the
    Status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
