I see unwanted spikes or noise in the input

I'm running a signal chirp, with beginning of frequency 1 kHz to 42KHz, with a frequency of sampling of 500 k and 35000 samples. The DAQ card is the 6070E. IM display the signal through the transducer and reading in the signal received with another sensor, between them there is a barrier, in this case a round wooden pole. The received signal has some undesirable spikes everywhere and tried, filtering but cant seem to solve the problem. Can I maybe get a few tips on how to do remove or block them. I have attached my VI.

If your timing is right, you have spikes on each 0.5ms, each ms one positive and one negative. Looks like a high pass coupling square flying 1 kHz autour... maybe caught by a groundloop or your amplifier, bad signal cables...

Another source may be the card entry DAQ itself. to do this, try a starter (filter in ring). Do you have a better range (analog) somewhere to measure without the acquisition of input data?

You can power the amplifier with a battery (or a very good DC source) for a test?

    Hi all
I just bought a Camileo P100 and fully charged.

Although it seems to work when you take a picture the camera 'clicks', the video recording the LED flashes, the touch screen is black and I don't see anything.

When you touch the screen, it doesn't seem to be working (there are noises from the unit when I touch the screen), but the screen is black.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Try, press and hold the button On / Off a few seconds.
Also check if the opening of the camcorder is open

But it looks a bit like a hardware problem.

  • Equium A100-147 - clicking noise from the HARD drive

For awhile, I had clicking noise from the HARD drive and when the laptop could not, I assumed the reader was packed but trying a replacement nothing happens. I get a blue light for battery and a blue light (low) for the supply of direct current, but nothing for power or disc. However, when I plugged in an external drive yesterday it starts fine and when I unplugged the laptop continued to work the internal drive. But even once this morning he died and will not start. I read that the BIOS can stop recognizing the drive or maybe that the settings are not being saved when it is off. Could it be the motherboard battery?

    > reading the BIOS can stop recognizing the drive or maybe that the settings are not being saved when it is off

Enter the Bios (press f2 at startup) and check if it recognizes the hard disk. You can see on the home page or the boot option in the Bios.

  • Camileo H20 - strange noise throughout the video

    Hello.

I today received delivery of my first camcorder, which as the title suggests, is a Toshiba Camileo H20.

Overall, I am impressed with this little camera, but there is a problem that concerns me. After reviewing a video of test, I created to see what the quality was as I noticed a strange sound throughout the video. I struggle to describe, it's a bit like static/interference. The thing is that I already have some tests to find out what could be the cause of it, and I found nothing. Again, the camera records audio as usual, but this static/interference is there with her.

At first I thought it's maybe because I'm close to electronic devices such as a TV and a PC, so I went in my new garden and filmed there, but noise persists. Then I covered the microphone to see if it makes a difference, but it didn't. I also tried different video modes, leaving the camera on a desk to record walking around a room and then I even resorted to transform a sound recording off altogether. The strange thing is that the camera has always been that noise when I play the video on my computer even if no sound is registered.

I have a slight suspicion thinking he made this noise if the camera is moved. But if I remember correctly it makes the same noise when it was not moved on the desktop.

Someone at - it ideas on how to solve this problem? Preferably not by reference. I would like to, but I don't have time because I'm going on vacation next week and I want the camera to do this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I have no idea why this strange sound appears, but I found in the manual of the user an interesting point.
You can disable and enable the sound of keyboard and operating noise.
In Submenue setting, press the button to go to the audio menu. Use the left/right keys to select ON or OFF. Press the menu button OK to validate the settings.

The other point is that you said that this noise appears when you play the video on your computer. Maybe it's just a s codec problem.
I remember that the sound on my movies created with the HD cam is really strange questions wore on the package of codec missing on my laptop. In addition, the player didn't manage HD sound.
I chose the stereo settings and then the sound was ok

I'm not very well if this might be a reason in your case but it s m worth a try
Check the sound configurations and try to install some codec packs too

  • HP 15 F018dx: Error notice when you try to search the drivers + occasional noise from the fan

Hello. I just did a scan of software on the hp site and it recommended related diagnostic software and I installed it.

But when I try to do a software scan and the pilot of "search for the updates and recommendations" on the website of HP support for my laptop model, I always have this:

"HP has encountered an error when trying to analyze your product.

Please verify that your product is turned on and connected, and then try again in a few minutes.

Or display all drivers available for your product below. »

I'm sure that my laptop is up-to-date with software and drivers because my HP support assistant software can't find nothing available, but I'm just curious as to why I get this error on the hp site.

Another thing.  Very rarely, it looks like one of the fans (or is the hard drive?) in the laptop will be rev suddenley plus enough fort. If I stop the laptop turned off and on again, the fan noise is back to normal - nice and very quiet. Even just quickly put the laptop to sleep and wake it will fan (if that's what it is) back to normal. This loud fan noise maybe happens once every 2 weeks if I average.

Initially, I thought that this problem of fan noise may be caused or related to a game (asphalt 8) that seems to cause fans to redouble efforts in general (but this casual loud fan noise I'm talking is much stronger than that) when the game is played and the problem seems to occur more frequently with installed. However, I uninstalled it for a few days (although I don't know if I did a reboot after that I uninstalled it) and it arrived this morning after starting with past nothing. I suppose it could still be linked to the game, but I'm not sure. I restarted the laptop and now it is fine.

As I said that the problem occurs very rarely and most of the time my laptop is very quiet, but still I would like to understand/fix the issue if I could. It of one of the reasons why I was trying just a software/driver scan to see if something is recommended on the site but when I do this pilot analysis I get this error and have always.

Thanks for any help or suggestion.

    Hi @tomstar,

Thank you for posting. I read your post, and I understand that you received the error message when you try to run a verification of updates and recommended software on the HP Web site. You need not worry since this could be a problem connecting to the HP Web site.

  • 6035-E high frequency noise reduces the resolution of 14 bits.

Dear Technical Support Group OR and MF DAQ,

I don't get the complete 16-bit on my DAQ 6035 - E cards and 6034-E resolution because of the high frequency noise.
The Test Panel and the actual catches show 1.2 mV peak-to-peak noise with entries is is failed the GA right input in differential ended mode and single connector - Test Panel screen grab and connector attached picture.
With a range of +-10V, noise LSB + half expected specified in the manual should be only 305 microvolts (20/65536) which is four times less than what I see.
So far, I've been scanning (a channel) to ten times (60 KHz) the rate I need (6 KHz), then SavGol the filtering and sampling downstairs.
The problem is that I need to sweep the four channels that now exceeds the capacity of 200 KHz of the card and also results in huge quantities of useless data.

Have considered buying a new USB DAQ with better record, I fear that all products OR suffer the same flaws and gave the purchase.

    Please, share your ideas.

    Thank you.

    GPSman salvation,

Looking at your control panel test plot, it would seem that there is a discrete steps on your axis is between - 0.0019 and - 0.0012 or 700 µV.  Then you can see that there is about a little more than 2 discrete steps to your signal, which brings value to about 300 microvolts, exactly as the resolution makes clear.

You can also find that there is a specification of noise and precision in specification.  You can find for a single point, the accuracy in the +/-10V between 1,085 millivolt.  This is on page 4.  This would allow your signal of +/-1 mV of the expected value, the test also indicating panels.

    Does that help?

  • I have UN-plugged my speakers and replaced by headphones. Noise if the headphoens is fine. I now want to put the spekares back in, but there is no sound at all

    original title: SOUND

I have UN-plugged my speakers and replaced by headphones. Noise if the headphoens is fine. I now want to put the spekares back in, but there is no sound at all. Can anyone help?

So they are pregnant Dell with standard 3.5 mm USB powered plug (* and even the green port plug in as shown in the picture)?

Therefore, the USB plugged into the port in the back of the computer for power to the speakers?  Try a different USB port - just to see if the chosen one does not provide the necessary power.

Make sure that the speakers are turned on and the volume is turned all the top (to the right).

Make sure that the sound output is not cut on your computer (plug in the headphones to check what you mean by them.

Plug the 3.5 mm of the speaker to the green port on the computer (see photo above.)

If you don't hear sound... Unplug the plug 3.5 mm and touch something metal - static electricity?  The speakers become power at all?

  • Problem SOLVED [ping SPIKE]! (if you have ping spikes, it is probably the answer)

    Hey all,.

If you have a ping spike/temporarily stopped in connection with your wireless adapter, this is probably the solution for you!

You can read my story here of my previous thread about my problems and solutions I've tried along the way.

    http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/Linksys/board/message?board.ID=Wireless_Adapters&thread.ID=22612

I have not yet official Linksys promised support they'd contact me and have not found a solution here in the forums I took matters a little further and did the research myself to fix this problem.

See my response below direcly for the solution.

So, the problem is mostly with people with linksys adapters and vista 64 (could also affect other OS, but found 64 a lot more when searching).

    1. If you have 64 bit vista drivers, first download drivers 64 bit XP linksys for your card, then uninstall your current drivers completely removing them (via Device Manager) and all managers of linksys (via Control Panel > functions of the program)

    2. restart your computer.

    3. install 64-bit XP via Device Manager drivers > network card (should have an exclaimation mark next to him now) > update driver (then point on where the driver XP 64 is, to ENSURE that it has no. OTHER DRIVERS in THE SAME FOLDER! so after you download linksys files, DELETE ALL FILES BUT THE XP 64 bit ones.)

    4. connect to your wireless router, then go to start menu > type cmd (open in administrator mode) > type [command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = no interface = "Wireless network connection"] (without the square brackets []), replace with all wireless network connection this as your network connection, your computer connects to.  You can check that you are connected by going here... Control Panel > network and sharing Center > manage network connections

Now you should have no problems with your connection, as well as ping spikes, check that it works by going to your command-line typing ping 192.168.1.1 - n 100

change the 192.168.1.1 to all what your router address, at the end of the audit, there was no spikes high and everything works!

Here is the part the shit, every time that you start your computer again or lose the connection with the wireless signal, you must re-enable the automatic configuration service in the cmd prompt, command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = yes interface = "wireless network connection".

And once you have connected to your router, you should disable this auto config connection.

I don't know how it will work on any other OS, but I guess it will be a similar solution (unless this question is strictly caused by 64-bit)

Now, seeing as how my other wireless adapters do not have this problem, I think that there is a problem with linksys and their drivers for these affected products. It of a gene to do these things, but I guess that's how things will work up to linksys sees this post and if everything goes well he corrected with a new driver update :-D

Feel free to post your success stories here! I will accept responses and congratulations in lieu of payment :-D

And if a moderator can sticky, I think this will help a lot of people because I noticed a number on these forums with this problem.

  • How is there is some noise in the library module, while there is none in the develop module?

    Straight, simple like this:

I shoot with a 5 d MARK II. Complete captor. No noise even possibel to ISO high.

I airbrushed a picture and I pushed some limitations while using the tool brush on some sections of the image.

As I watch in the DEVELOP module, I see no noise at all. As soon as I open it in the LIBRARY module, I see the noise on this specific section of the photo.

How is it? Will there be a compression of the image between the DEVELOPMENT and the LIBRARY module?

What to trust? How can we work with divergence like that?

If anyone noticed something similar, I would really like your opinion on this.

    > I'm shooting with a 5 d MARK II. Complete captor. No noise even possibel to ISO high.

You have been deceived by the marketing. All cameras, even a 5DmkII a noise at each ISO setting. Most of the noise from digital in modern cameras capture is caused by photon counting statistics (i.e. photographed fish noise or noise) and in small part by the noise of the amplifier. This means that any pixel noise is practically equal to the square root of the number of photons counted by the pixel. "Canna change the laws of physics Cap ' n."

    > I've airbrushed image and I pushed some limitations while using the tool brush on some sections of the image. As I watch in the DEVELOP module, I see no noise at all. As soon as I open it in the LIBRARY module, I see the noise on this specific section of the photo. How is it? Will there be a compression of the image between the DEVELOPMENT and the LIBRARY module?

Development module working on a small subset of the raw data for its display, especially when zoomed out to go up or fill. This is to ensure that cursors are sensitive and you don't have to wait for a few seconds each time you touch a slider. You can only trust the preview to establish in what respect the sharpness and noise when zoomed to 1:1 or higher because of this and this means you must be able to optimize the sharpness and noise while the zoom 1:1 reduction. This is necessary in all cases that capture sharpening and noise reduction work at the pixel level. In the library, the preview is a JPEG, pronounced on the raw file using full raw. Also note that if you brush positive clarity, one tends to amplify really no noise in the image, so, be careful and check regularly at 1:1.

    > What to trust? How can we work with divergence like that?

1:1 Preview to the point or the glimpse of the library if you are interested in the features of sharpness and noise.

    > If anyone noticed something similar, I would really like your opinion on this.

You are not the first to see it for sure. Usually, it doesn't matter except when you push your images really hard.

  • Bad noise in the shadows in ACR

    Hi guys,.

    Here's the problem I have.

Until last week for conversions of RAW format, I was working with Digital Photo Professional of Canon (the software supplied with the camera). I have Canon 5 d. It was read RAW perfectly, giving a silent picture.

Recently, I adopted all-Adobe workflow, so I use Bridge to visualization, cab for conversion and PS for editing. But the problem is the next. Bridge and after in ACR on perfectly lit photo where I have a dark tones and shadows (those not underexposed, simply correct dark tones and shadows) in ACR and bridge preview I see bad noise colorful, something you would see when artificially increase the brightness in the shadows. This is the default setting, without changing anything in ACR (or bridge) in a blink of an eye, it is not visible, but it is very sensitive when compared side-by-side with Canon Digital Photo Professional insight and overview ACR or bridge. And its also noticeable when you view the shot at 100% size. Of course everything I see in ACR is transferred to Photoshop. Well most of the time I can get rid of this noise in the PS, but it is still disturbing because I've not known just as with Digital Photo Professional.

Could you guys please help me understand source of this noise, and how to get rid of. Thank you in advance.

My monitor is HP 2445, calibrated. Software Photoshop and Bridge CS4.

Pls give it a try with a lot less black. The shot is very clean, it works even with blacks = 0, but try it with 1 or 2. The default in ACR, 5, is brainless.

Because of this change, you can adjust the brightness and contrast to your liking.

Another question: the shot could be exposed 1 2/3 EV higher without clipping (but it wasn't underexposed in the sense that it would have caused excessive noise). I mention this only because you may not know, that ACR adds 0.25 EV "exposure" adjustment shots 5 d without displaying on the slider, thus creating the impression that the shot was exposed more high because it is in reality. (The setting is 0, 750 EV with 50 ISO, but never use with raw data, because it is simply overexposed ISO 100.)
