I upgraded XP home sp2 on XP home sp3. Now, I get the error Code: 0x80004005
When I try to log in I get a window titled "Windows Product Activation" with the message: a problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error code: 0x80004005. When I click OK I am disconnected. I tried the fix on this method of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306081 of page two. The same problem. I noticed that the expanded files still had the extension ex_ and dl_ so I changed in dll or exe. The same problem. I have the OEM of Windows XP version on CD that came with the computer. I got Trend Micro Internet security running when I did the upgrade, with unauthorized change prevention enabled. What can I do to recover my computer?

I don't know how to reinstall from scratch. Did I lose my data? I backed up my files and catalog with time machine (before errors), but I do not know how to proceed. Should I just uninstall the product?
If you had installed the LIghtroom using Time Machine backup application or any other Adobe applications, yes it is best to perform the entire process of removal and reinstallation.
If its just catalogue, that's fine, you can simply uninstall and reinstall Lightroom.

I've owned my XPS Dell for more than 2 years, (that I bought new from Dell) and last week I started to get the ' don't not Genuine Microsoft..., "I'm under Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit, which shows that it is valid and active, but I still get the error of 0x8004fe21 activation code.

First of all, make sure that:
- Both systems must have a unique name.
- Both systems need to have the same time and date.
- Some antivirus/security programs may block or cause network problems.
