    I have the table of 3 columns A, B, C. I want to store the sum of columns A B in the C column without using the DML statements. Can anyone help please how to do. ?

    11.1 and especially you have virtual column

    SQL> create table t
      2  (
      3     a number
      4   , b number
      5   , c generated always as (a+b) virtual
      6  );

    Table created.

    SQL> insert into t (a, b) values (1, 2);

    1 row created.

    SQL> select * from t;

             A          B          C
    ---------- ---------- ----------
             1          2          3

    Before that, a front insert - trigger

    SQL> create table t
      2  (
      3     a number
      4   , b number
      5   , c number
      6  );

    Table created.

    SQL> create or replace trigger t_default before insert on t for each row
      2  begin
      3    :new.c := :new.a+:new.b;
      4  end;
      5  /

    Trigger created.

    SQL> insert into t (a, b) values (1, 2);

    1 row created.

    SQL> select * from t;

             A          B          C

  • 3000N200 R & R backup takes hours and using the large amount of disk space. Can anyone help?

    The weekly backup of Rescue and Recovery has suddenly started to take hours when I haven't changed anything and uses a large amount of hard disk space. I tried to remove some previous backups and it and it seemed to work OK and then all of a sudden decides to do the same thing. I tried a previous restore point and it helped for a while and now just made a backup taking 4 hours and 20 GB of hard drive space. It is a fault and has nothing to do?

  • Thunderbird uses 12.5 GB of disk space. How can it be reduced?

    I took a glance to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/999525?esab=a & as = aaq

    However, I don't see no nstmp file, so that the solution is not transferred.

    I use Thunderbird to manage six e-mail addresses. At the present time, Thunderbird uses 12.5 GB in my AppData folder, i.e. about one-eighth of my hard drive (SSD). I need either to reduce or force the Thunderbird to store on a different hard drive. How can I do either?

    first... Compact your folders. This is the only time where the space is freed. Deleted mail is marked as such but not purge until the compact occurs. So, from the file menu (Alt + F) > Compact folders

    Then move your profile,
    See to locate your profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb
    To move your profile using the Profile Manager, see. http://KB.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder#Firefox_Thunderbird_and_SeaMonkey_2

    How this can be done I think I have exhausted the other delete possibilitys, defrag, ect:

    I assume you are using Vista. If you are not, please tell me.
    If you are, read on...

    Find out if your D drive is your recovery partition. A quick way to find is...
    Start > computer > training shoud be registered as well as your system C drive.
    It should say something like... X free Y GB GB
    How many GB are in Y?

    It is between 10 to 15 GB, if your Partition Recovert.

    ........................................................................................................

    Your recovery partition D is implemented by the manufacturer of your computer in the event of serious problems in your system.
    You use it to restore your system.

    You're NOT supposed to touch it... not to add or remove anything from or to it.

    Have you been using the D drive and for scheduled backups of file or adding items to the D drive?
    If so, you call the manufacturer of the computer, tell them the situation...

    1. ask for a set of recovery DVD to reinstall Vista, if you do not have a game made yourself.
    2. ask how to remove backup files or elements that are NOT supposed to be there.
    They created the recovery partition, they know how to take care of it.
    Let them teach how you to.

  • How to use unknown disk space?

    Original title: "unknown space"

    Hi I m shivani I have a problem I have three unknown 18.6 GB disk space can u tell me how to use these discs. Please allow me to * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    If it is unallocated space, the first step is to create a partition: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/fr-fr/Windows-Vista/Create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition.  Also read the articles referenced for additional information on the implementation of these partitions correctly.

    Once the partitions are created they can be expanded or narrowed (as long as they are contiguous) If you care about this:http://Windows.Microsoft.com/fr-fr/Windows-Vista/Create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition.  This can be done in readers, but only in the same drive.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • using time machine: I want to use time machine as a separate to free disk space storage drive

    Can I use time to free up disk space on my Imac?

    Writing an effective question of communities of Apple Support

    Time Machine is a backup software. If you mean that you're already using TM and you want to store other items on your backup disk, you can, but it is not a good idea and you will need to partition the drive. http://pondini.org/TM/3.html

  • ESXi 4.0 initial installation 208167 used 80G of hard disk space

    Hello

    I'll put up an old HP Proliant DL360 G5 server with two hard drives, managed by the HP Smart Array P400i controller 146SAS.  With RAID 1 + 0, the LogicalDisk is about 136G.  After you have installed the server ESXi 4.0, vSphere client reported that 51G is available for virtual machines.   See attached snapshot.  Back in 2009, on a new DL360 G6 server, I used the same software to ESXi 4.0 and installing used only 2 GB of space.  Which could use the 80G of hard disk space?

    I noticed a difference in how vSphere client reported the DTX200:

    The DL360 G5, the customer reported the storage as "local disk VMWare..." »

    The DL360 G6, the customer reported the storage as "Home HP series SCSI Disk... »

    Any idea what happened to the 80G?  Thank you.

    -Jim

    If I understand you correctly, there is nothing on the data store yet (i.e. no VMs)? In this case, you can try to remove the data store and recreate to see if it reports the correct size after that.

  • Not enough disk space on the Partition was ' Drive

    Hello!

    My PC has unique of the (160 MB) hard disk with two partitions 'C' (149 MB) and ' (6.27 GB).

    the free space in Partition D get size reduced by 1 or 2 or maybe 3 MB. End result is that

    the PC reliability and performance shows warning that free space is less than 15%

    and low disk space can cause poor performance and low virtual memory errors.

    This case occurs only with the installation of Norton Internet Security (NIS).

    When I install McAfee Internet Security does not reduce the free space in Partition D.

    The Norton came installed on my PC system, so I prefer the NIS.

    Then, why this happens only in the case of NIS and not McAfee Internet Security.

    How can I stop reduction of free space on the Partition was "during the installation of Norton Internet

    I tried, in vain, with 'Off' system restore.

  • Disk space how do you install Acrobat?

    This morning, I noticed that my installation of MS Acrobat is currently using 3,03 GB of disk space on my Surface Pro with Windows 10 Pro 3. I think it is excessive: it's almost 4 times larger than any Microsoft Office Suite (850MB). What is a size of typical installation for most people?

    Independent: probably I can't be the only one who has noticed that the "complète FAQ" link is dead (the green button) on the start page for this subforum. Come on Adobe, where is QA/QC?

    Hi Ishman,

    Acrobat DC is a large application with so many features, this is the reason why it consumes so much space after installation.

    Mine has held 3.72 GB.

    Acrobat CC FAQ link is active, please check FAQ | Adobe Acrobat DC

  • Free disk space in the Windows Explorer status bar.

    In Windows 7, I wonder how to display disk space is free in the Windows Explorer. In XP, you could see how much space was free down in the status bar. He would say how objects and disk space that was free. How can I activate this in Windows 7?

    Return to the root that particular drive is annoying, when I should be able to see how much free space I have for any folder.

    Thank you.

    These 2 features have been removed from the latest version of windows and really help to speed up the use of every day:

    Display the amount of free space
    Display of the total size of the files in folders.

    How this two features can be added to the status bar?

  • increase disk space question: C

    I want to increase: the C disk space can help them all one on this case, please

    2003 OS

    C drive.PNG

    You can only increase a score when there is free disk space adjacent to that partition. In your case, you must use a partitioning tool to move the drive H: and then increase the C; drive. I usually use the gParted live CD / ISO in such cases.

    / Var/log is a separate file system, removing the newspapers won't help you with.
