I use the SAGE software but can't view or print all reports since the upgrade my laptop to windows 7.

Is there something in windows 7 that is in conflict with SAGE software and if so is there a download available that will fix it

Yes, you can transfer the license of Windows 7 on another computer. Why, because the basic license is Windows Vista.

  • If I have windows vista on a computer, can I turn it off, buy a new one and get the upgrade to windows 7 on the computer?

I have windows vista (32-bit), so if I sell it for scrap, but keep the license, buy a new computer, install windows 7 (64-bit) by using the upgrade to windows? When I say upgrade I'm talking about the updated version of windows Home premium, i.e. There is a full and then there is the upgrade (only for those who have vista or xp). I'm not worried about any problem of hardware, or drivers or any other problem, just strictly issues of software operating system (between the license). Please just say yes or no and explain if necissary. Thank you.

No, you can't sell the license and keep it at the same time. In addition, the Windows 7 upgrade depends on a license previous qualification. If you use Vista as a qualifying product, it becomes an integral part of the license and is not transferable to another computer.

Since the Windows end user license agreement:

    17. TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY. You can transfer the software directly to a not third parties only with the licensed computer. The transfer must include the software and the certificate of Authenticity label. You can't keep all copies of the software or any earlier version. Before any transfer authorized, the other party must accept that this agreement applies to the transfer and use of the software.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate Trial Version... I buy the upgrade of Windows 8, it will activate?
    Thank you.

NO! There is no Windows 7 Ultimate trial.

There is a free trial Windows 7 Enterprise, but who would not be eligible to use an upgrade of Windows 8 with her.

To use the upgrade of Windows 8 you must have a previous version installed, licensed and registered in Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

  • New install of Win 7 x 64 by using the upgrade CD

    History:

The machine running Win 7 x 64 was initially under Vista. A long while back, I bought a disc of Windows 7 and installed upgrading Windows 7 x 64. Fast forward to a few months ago when I installed Win 10. After a few weeks, I realized that 10 win wasn't for me. My attempts to return to Win 7 failed. Forget that my Win 7 disc was a upgrade disc, I wiped the HD (and after another series of headaches) and installed Win 7.

It's been almost 3 weeks and today I entered the product key, only to receive the error CO4f061 "the Service of software license determined that this specified product usable only key for the upgrade, not for new installations."

    Question:

How can I keep the such OS, without having to wipe the HD, install Vista, and then upgrade to Windows 7? The last episode of installation/update of Win 7 resulted in hours of reset, updated day and then restarting over and over again. There must be a work around that... The pc was bought with Vista installed and came with an OS Vista Home Premium disc. I also paid for and legally own Windows 7 upgrade disk.

    TIA,

    UMRK

    Personal opinion:

Of course, Windows 10 is free, but I will switch to Linux or perhaps reluctantly migrate to Apple OS before installing Windows 10 on any of my machines. I know that Win 7 Life Cycle coming to an end... so what. I know people still under XP. So, please do not answer with good reasons to move to Win 10, of his virtues. I'm set on Win 7 as my OS of choice and will appreciate your help to overcome this problem.

    * original title - replaced with win7 winxp. have xp updated but will not be installed with win7. How to make xp back on computer

    Hi Allen,.

You will not be able to install XP on Win 7 using the upgrade disc. You will require your original operating system disk and you will have to boot from the OS installation disc, once installed you can use the disk to upgrade XP on this operating system. Another way is out to install your system disk and the boot of Winxp.

    I hope this helps.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in possession of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you want to do it, please backup your Windows 7 Home Premium or according to edition currently installed. Some licenses for Windows distributed to tertiary level students are not perpetual, which means that you cannot continue to use the software after a course or graduating.

  • Is it possible to upgrade Enterpsie from Windows Vista to Windows 7 using the upgrade HP program?

    Hi all

I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Windows Vista Enterprise. I read on the ability to upgrade to Windows 7 at low administrative cost by HP upgrade program. However, the site mentions that I can only upgrade from Vista Home Premium, business or ultimate edition. My laptop HP (the EliteBook 8530w) had Windows Vista Enterprise is installed. So I want to know if it is possible for me to upgrade to Windows 7 using the upgrade HP program.

I bought this laptop from my University. They had a program, so we could buy our laptop with many applications that we need for our study pre-installed. It could be that they have replaced the Vista HP installed with Windows Vista Business version. If this is the case, is it possible for me to somehow re - install the previous version of Vista, so I can still take part in the upgrade program?

I bought my laptop at my University. They have installed all the software and it is possible that they also installed Windows Vista business. When I looked at the description of the Elitebook 8530w, he mentioned Windiows Vista Ultimate as the operating system. So I am clueless why my University is using Windows Vista Enterprise.I have decided that I will contact HP support on this issue, to see if I can install Vista Ultimate and then upgrade to Windows 7.

UPDATE: I contacted just HP support by phone. The Elitebook 8530w comes with Vista Bussiness installed and they send me an installation disc within 14 days. They have also described here it might be possible to do a clean install with upgrade cd, although they did not know for some. I think I'll try the clean install first, and if that doesn't work, I'll install Windows Vista Bussiness and then perform the upgrade.

In any case, I want to thank everyone for the help they provided.

1366 x 768 is the strangest resolution that I've ever heard of. Your video card drivers helped "keep the proportions" and decided to not to stretch imagine because I assume that you can't choose this exact resolution in the game. If your monitor has an overdrive video or image format option, you can enable or disable that or if you have a NVidia card, you can change the picture format option in the properties of the video card.

If you have an ATI card, then you're stuck with a proportional image: P

I have an OEM of Windows Vista version on a dying computer. Can I buy the upgrade for Windows 8 and install it on the new PC, I'm building? The upgrade, is published at the same time as I'm rebuilding my PC. I'm just looking to replace my OS. I need Vista.

    Hello

OEM license is tied to the first machine that is installed on the OEM license dies when this machine dies.

An OEM license is not transferable.

And you need a legal edition of Windows, enabled for upgrade.

There is no use, you buy a license upgrade of Windows 8 by itself as you have to upgrade anything of in the new computer, you build...

You can buy a license of Windows 8 when it comes out later this year.

    See you soon.
