Music - wma, wav, wmv

How to convert Windows Movie Maker files in a Mac compatible file?
Windows Movie Maker files are the format of Windows Movie Maker project. The files say things to Windows Movie Maker on your video editing project like video clips are used, which audio files you have imported, go to what transitions between clips, and whose effects are used. These files are essentially readable only in Windows Movie Maker and certainly doesn't work on a Mac. Two options to save a video file in Movie Maker are DV - AVI or WMV. To create a Mac compatible video file, open the file in Windows Movie Maker in Windows Movie Maker, save the movie to the highest quality WMV or preferably as a DV - AVI file format. Import the AVI or WMV file ended up in iMovie or another Mac video editing application.

• This is the message I get when I try to add the audio to Vista windows movie maker that the devil is a codec & where can I find the right one to download?

The file Morrison\Moondance\05 in the Mystic.m4a of C:\Users\kathy\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Van cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to re-import the file.

There is a compatibility issue with the M4A file.
Convert M4A to WMA and the

The message appears as follows:

Windows DVD Maker has stopped working

Hi Bindu Prasad,

Create DVD Windows stops working due to incompatibility with one or several codec files that are obsolete or incompatible with the project or the DVD Maker software itself.

(Obsolete or incompatible) Codec files must be located and renamed to resolve the issue.

1. open the start menu and type event viewer in the start menu search bar. Open event viewer from the menu.
2. in the case of Viewer click Windows logs in the left panel
3. click on application under Windows Logs logs
4. search for the error messages listed in the event viewer window Central Panel and double-click on the error to check if it log is linked to the creation of DVD.

Example of error log:

Fault Module name: nevideohd.ax
Fault Module Version: 4.6.15.0
Timestamp of Module error: 459bb828

Exception offset: 00008b 89

5 locate the name of the Module of fault, it must be a file with the extension. CXL
6 once identified the name of the file, try to locate the file in the C:/Windows/System32 folder.

(Please click on view the content if the files do not appear automatically).
7. If the files are not listed in the System32 folder, find the file with search containing the files and system files.
8 find the file and rename it.
9. check if the problem persists. If the problem persists and the error message appears again, find the new file which is the origin of the problem of event, error log viewer.

-Can also uninstall any third party burning programs and software codec that these could cause the error.

• Windows Vista-> Windows 7 recovery problems

Hi all. First time poster here.

Product = Compaq Presario 5550f desktop computer. Windows Vista originally in November 2008, then upgraded to Windows 7 as soon as it was available.

I recently caught a virus and all through the elimination of the virus in my office stopped the start (I think I've damaged boot sector). Start diagnosis indicates a problem of disk (the disk scan did not complete). As I worked on it longer, I've lost the ability to enter the Recovery Manager with the F11 key at startup, so I can't erase and start over.

I pulled the hard drive, installed on my other desktop computer as a secondary drive and saved all my files (which I should have done before you start working on it...). Also tried checkdisk on the other computer and he "found and corrected errors. Installed in the original computer and still will not start. Tried the Vista recovery disc I made in 2008 and get a '0 x 4001100200001012' error when loading files of operation is completed. Did Windows 7 recovery disks, but from what I can tell the recovery partition is not get improved anyway.

One possibility would be to order HP recovery disks, but if those that I did does not work, do not know HP ones. I could reformat the partition C: to restore to another desktop computer, but makes me a little nervous. I can't find a way to force it to boot directly from the recovery D: partition in the installation program. What else can I try? Help!

Jeff

In the process of closing the computer after typing my post, the computer went into Manager recovery by itself. Maybe try to rerun the recovery discs did something? Anyway, wiped her clean and back on Vista now (it sucks as far as I remember) and on my way back to Windows 7.
