I've been doing the msg of BSOD Bad Pool Header two days.

Separated from this thread.

We need the log files themselves (called a DMP files) because they contain the only record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

You have several questions.

1. you MUST update to win 8.1

2. you have a 10 years old driver that needs to be removed associated wanatw4.sys WAN Miniport (ATW) of America Online, Inc.

3 - your 3 year old AOL is held responsible for accidents

Dumps memory to blame ATWPKT264. SYS - a component of your AOL software.

It could be the hard drive or NTFS associated - let's get more information.
Please provide additional information on your system:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira
!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
    Msinfo32
Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.
There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.
For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.
This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.
    Download BlueScreenView here:
Unzip it and run it (BSV installs nothing) and let him complete the digitization of all of your files to dump.
If you double-click on depressed, you will get information on it (including the field caused by the driver) and you should be able to spot the problem right away - especially if you see a model in landfills where Caused by field pilot is the same (beginning with this driver).
Select (highlight) one or more of the most recent dump files by clicking on them and hold down the CTRL key to select multiple files.  Try to select only the most recent links that relate to your problem (perhaps five or six to start dump files).
Click on file, save selected items and save information from the dumps to a text file on your desktop called BSOD.txt.  Open BSOD.txt with a text editor, copy the text and paste it in your next reply.

  • Error BSOD Bad Pool Header - Satellite C50-A-157

    Hello

I get a blue screen bad pool header error.

It started after I updated some drivers, was one of the drivers does not work properly since, it's the IWD bus enumerator, it has a yellow exclamation point and this error, Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I can't find a solution for this driver so I had to disable, I think that it is related to the bad pool header as I get it a lot more since the update. This often happens when I'm on the web, just from crashes and goes into the blue screen.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Recurrent error BSOD (Bad Pool Header)

Hi I have a BSOD w / the Bad_Pool_Header errror, it starts very well, then crashes with this error after ive connected.

    Help, please

    GreenShadow9600

    Hello

To help you, we will need for the. DMP files to analyze what exactly happened at the time of the accident, etc.

If you do not know where. The DMP files, here's how to get to them are:

    1. go to the folder % systemroot%\Minidump.

2 copy all the DMP files in the Minidump folder on your desktop and zip then those files.

    3. download the zip containing the. Files DMP Onedrive or a Web hosting of your choice and paste it in your answer. Favorite sites: Onedrive, Mediafire, Dropbox, etc.. Nothing to do with the timers waiting, download managers, etc.

4 (optional): The type of. DMP files in the Minidump folder are known as small images of memory. In any % there will be what we call a kernel image (if your system is configured to generate). It is labeled MEMORY. DMP. The difference between the small images of memory and core-dumps in the simplest definition is that a kernel image contains much more information at the time of the accident, which allows more debugging of your question. If your upload speed and you're not going against any strict caps bandwidth and/or use, etc., the kernel image is the best choice. Note that the core-dumps are much larger in size due to containing much more information, that's why I mentioned the download speed, etc..

If you plan to use Onedrive but don't know how to download it, please see the following:

Download pictures and files to Onedrive.

After doing this, to learn how to share the link to the file if you are not aware, please visit the following link - share files and folders and change the permissions and view 'Get link'.

Please note that all programs "cleaner" such as TuneUpUtilities, CCleaner, etc., default will remove. DMP files after use. That said, if you run this software, you will need to allow the system to block one more time to generate a crash dump.

If your computer does. DMP files, follow these steps:

    1. start > type systemroot which should show the Windows folder, click it. Once inside this folder, make sure there is a Minidump folder created. If not, CTRL-SHIFT-N to create a new folder and name it Minidump.

2 Windows key + Pause key. This should appear in the system. Click Advanced on the left system settings > advanced > performance > settings > advanced > make sure there is a check mark for "manage automatically the size of pagefile for all readers."

3 Windows key + Pause key. This should appear in the system. Click Advanced on the left system settings > advanced > startup and Recovery > settings > system > ensure there is a check mark next to "write an event to the system log.

Make sure Small Memory Dump is selected and ensure that the path is % systemroot%\Minidump.

    4. ensure that viewers is ENABLED:

Start > Search > type services.msc > on the name tab, search for Windows Error Reporting Service > if the service status is not started, then right-click and select start. Also to ensure that, under Startup Type set to automatic rather than manual. You can do this by right click, select properties and under general selection on 'Automatic' startup type and then click on apply.

If you can not get into normal mode to do this, please do so via Safe Mode.

    Kind regards

    Patrick

  • My computer has been doing the BlueScreen thing where it stops every 5 minutes when I go to normal mode

Original title: Windows Update does not work on security with networking mode

Hi, if my computer has been doing the BlueScreen thing where it stops every 5 minutes when I go to normal mode. So I go on security with networking mode and I went to problem and solutions and all this stuff, and the Web site that came to help me solve the blue screen was told to go to "All programs" and then go into "Windows Update". but the problem with that is does not work! My cursor will give me the circle of loading bit for a few seconds and that's it! And don't tell me to go to because every time startup repair I have try that he asks me "User" and I tried everything and nothing will work! :/ And apparently, it's a driver problem, not a hardware problem, because I already removed and put in the back of my equipment. Then Yes.

    Thanks for your help! :)

Windows Update does not [Safe] mode with network

Yes, that's correct. You can not run manually check updates in Mode safe mode with networking since the necessary Services are not running.

  • Windows BSOD error 8 "Bad Pool Caller."

    Original title: Windows 8 BSOD

    Dear Windows people

I got the dreaded Blue Screen of Death on my laptop Acer Aspire E1 - 750 cheap but good mood who gave error code 'Bad Pool Header', then 'Bad Pool Caller'. He couldn't get past this screen at start up. Using Windows 8.0, no devices (in fact, I was trying to plug a Kobo in the USB port, and does not recognize him, he was charging, led me to restart the laptop, to achieve the above error messages.

Very surprised because it is relatively new, and the previous Amilo (Windows XP) I had, had 8 years of operation without BSOD.

    The files don't the zip.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

Since yesterday, Firefox crashes my PC. I did a search by a duct add on that was appeared and ran malware and registry cleaners. I also uninstalled Firefox.

Computer works normally, but I can't re install Firefox which is my favorite browser. Each resettlement attempt ends in BSOD and a shtting down and restart and a suggestion that I search online for bad pool header.

Rename the FNTCACHE. DAT (in C:\Windows\System32 folder).

Rename the FNTCACHE. DAT to something like FNTCACHE.old

Restart the computer and let Windows re - create the FNTCACHE. DAT

In addition, right now 'disable' Driver Verifier:

Windows key + S > type verifier.exe and press 'Enter' on the keyboard > clear the existing settings > finish > click 'Yes' to the message to delete the settings and exit the program

For Windows 7, the following article, can explain how the problem arises:
