  Well, then I can say happily that I'm typing this on firefox yay! I managed to do work, and here's how it is for everyone who is having this problem (well at least this is the solution that finally worked for me). RESTART your computer. NOT simply stop there. So I said Hey, maybe I'll give you my FF update 29.0.1 a last try before you install a new firefox, in the hope that maybe restart the computer would have worked.
