I've updated because of an alert from windows saying he had available updates (service packs and I'm not sure what else.) However, when the computer is restarted, he had obtained a 0xe3 BSOD stop. Can someone please?

I tried to restart normally, with the last known good configuration, safe mode, nothing.  I ordered a recovery disc and still nothing (think if I inserted the disc some type of 'magic' would occur and maybe get on the right track).

DBin304,
Thanks for posting with us.  Looks like you have tried most of the boot options.  I suggest you remove all external devices and you try to start.  If that doesn't help you need to check the options you have on your recovery CD.  If you can start the recovery console and then try to run the following commands:

Chkdsk /r

sfc/scannow
