I've updated Firefox about a dozen times now and it keeps returning to 3.65 and telling me I should update. What a waste of time. Is this a common problem? I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I got messages from Firefox should I put updated since Version 4 of Firefox. I tried to update the version 2 or 3 times on each firefox. Usually, it ends and shows me that I have updated. But the next time I start firefox, it's back to version 3.6.23 again and telling me that I should update. I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day. I remember to update this computer to Version 4 of Firefox, Version 5 and yesterday in 7.1. What is going on?

More system details list in the first post does not display the relevant changes to general.useragent prefs, so you probably didn't put up-to-date and always run the version of Firefox 3.6.23.

You can check via help > on the window.

If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.

  • Uninstall your current version of Firefox.
  • Do not remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
  • Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
  • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

    Hello again,

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your input to try to help solve the problems I've had with links.

I am happy to report that I played my first round in nearly two weeks in this... Morning. The problem is a corrupted file, .l3. I have a little more 1 100 PoliAnis' and am not sure which one is, but I can play. I tried whenever I took one of the following folders on until I finally took the PolyAni folder:

WAVs, mops, Custom photos of players, sky, Clubs, PIN code files and finally, all but one of PolyAni files. That after taking all but one of the frequented out of the folder PolyAni links has started without giving me the error of attribution not valid.

Thanks again to you all for your help.

    Sincerely,

    Mike

  • I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Currently have 4 GB of RAM. I would switch to 16 GB of RAM. This will increase the performance of my computer?

My husband tells me that Windows 7 supports only 4 GB of RAM maximum, but I don't think this is correct.
Can someone help me please you without resorting to computer jargon.  A response in English would be more useful :)

  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit freezes on startup after the last update.

I think I have updated a major problem with the latest update from microsoft.

I've been running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit for over a month now, as I received it for a launch party I was the host.

That's all works fine but a few nights ago, he just stopped from upward, it just hangs at 'Starting Windows' screen, the windows logo does not yet appear.  He would not go into safe mode and startup repair couldn't do anything.

This happened right after that I had installed a windows update, but I thought that nothing of all this at once, but one of my friends mentioned that their windows vista pc did the same thing after the last update, still, I don't think not that it was bound.

I had no other way to get the things on my hard drive, so I tried to reinstall windows on top of the old, it does not work either.

I gave up, I formatted the hard drive last night and just reinstalled.
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit,
    NVidia graphics driver
    Microsoft Security Essentials,
    Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate,
    Apple's iTunes and Quicktime.

The computer worked so very well, so this morning I came back to it, it was working fine, there was a box saying that a windows update was waiting to be installed, I clicked it, it was of course a big one because it was the first for this new install to get.  When he asked me to restart, I did, he went through his usual routine and now, as I sit typing this, I am facing screen "starting windows" frozen again.

My processor is an Intel Pentium D
I have 4 GB of RAM.

There is obviously something wrong dangerously with the last update of windows, were there any other reports of this?

Too, I recently had problems with Win 7 freeze on me. After you have uninstalled all the updates I had installed on 24 December 2011, 1 update could not be uninstalled and it was the update to sp1 of windows 7. After you have uninstalled all updates (except SP1 cause could not be uninstalled) I tried to play again the media and my system hang or aka freeze for a few seconds, and this happened even when I was gaming.  I had a lot of problems after that update, including any media type of videos to play just thrown music windows media player. After restoring my computer to a previous state (before that the updates have been installed) now my computer works normal again. So, for those of you having problems with windows and your way of thinking too yourself Uggghhh, why he did this? Well this is the service pack 1, windows now, I don't know any alternative to restore your computer to an earlier date before the updates took place, and if you don't have a win 7 is pretty smart and im sure they have a restore to the factory settings. These are the only options that helped me get rid of my system hanging up. I hope this helps some people and I'm sorry I can't guide you threw it and the steps how to restore your comp because of parameters factory all the comps are different.

  • 15 - ab098na: Pavilionm 15 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit drivers Ethernet required

    Hello

I need the Ethernet drivers for my Pavilion Notebook running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit OS.

When I go to Device Manager I get the IDS of equipment as follows:

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & SUBSYS_80B8103C & REV_07

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & SUBSYS_80B8103C

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & CC_020000

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 & CC_0200

Everything works fine, but no sign of the NIC, and I really need this to work. Please don't propose that I return to Windows 8 or 10 will never happen as long as I have breath in my body.

    Thank you

Excellent - all sorted, thank you very much

  • Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit goes to a black screen after login. Completely insensitive.

I seem to have a problem similar but different enough to justify a new thread. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and after the connection, I get a black screen with a cursor that can move normally. However, it becomes more complicated as everyone else. Absolutely NO work of access keys at this point, ctrl-shift-esc, ctrl-alt-delete, windows-r, don't SHIFT five times, NOTHING that other threads have suggested. I can't do anything but restart the computer once it reaches that point.

This is where it gets weird. Regular Safe Mode actually works for me, but is not the Mode safe mode with networking. There has been absolutely no sign of difficulty with this computer before that. I already have Malwarebyte Anti-Malware, it has been updated yesterday. I checked for ntndis in the registry, nothing. I uninstalled my video drivers, now, I have to reinstall because it wasn't the problem. System Restore was only a restore point on March 1, which did nothing even though the computer was working fine, March 1. I do not have the Windows disc, I split the cost with a friend who's in Arizona that I know, and he has probably lost the drive now.

Please help, my office is useless like this. I'm on a laptop, and I have a 512 MB USB key, if something needs to be downloaded on the desktop.

  • Random Blue Screen Of Death after upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I was running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit for many years without any serious problem. After the upgrade to Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit I was prey to a BSOD random. Sometimes I can get several BSOD in one day. Sometimes I could get any same-day heavy after multitasking.  The BSOD may occur during any task or when I try to quit. I have the latest drivers and BIOS. I disconnected all my equipment and refurbished it. I used the diagnostic tools to test my memory 4G and my Seagate 1 t SSHD hybrid and they passed. I changed the sata connection cable my HD to the MB. I did a Windows repair (scannow) and also done a repair install and it did not help. Although these questions is past the BSOD after upgrade to Win 7 64 bit, that I suspect may not be associated with Win 64 bit but could be hardware related. Any help to solve this issue will be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Chris

All 5 associated with your ATI video driver.

Completely, remove the current (or software) driver and install the latest driver available.  For instructions on how to do read everything to update the drivers of my partner JMH3143 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-hardware/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1?tm=1436753520149 here

  • Nvlddkm.sys for my GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics card driver causes a blue screen of death, whenever I look at a video of youtube for a long period of time. I have re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and it always does.

I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Skype, Teamviewer, client Pidgin, mIRC, Firefox, Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, openDNS updater, iTunes, and Outlook 2007.

This problem has caused a unbootible machine when it happened first. It stops happening when I uninstall the display nvlddkm.sys driver, but when it gets reinstalled via Windows U [date and I restart, it bluescreens.] When I reinstalled the operating system, I was able to work normally again. I'm afraid that this problem could start again however, please help me.

Try the following drivers from NVIDIA:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_64bit_191.07_whql.html

Uninstall the video drivers that are currently installed and turn off any antivirus real-time protection before installing the new drivers.

Make sure that antivirus real-time protection is reactivated after the installation.
