I want TB to go to the next message above after that I deleted a msg

Thunderbird manages four email addresses for me. I put them all to have the most recent messages at the top of the list and I move through them from the bottom. The first day, TB asked if I wanted to DELETE to move to the next higher E-mail (which, for me, would be the next unread). Apparently, I managed to click on 'Yes' for two of my email addresses, but not the other two. After a couple of times, that message never showed up again, and I sincerely regret not having said "Yes" to two other addresses. When I read, a deletion down to the post below, which, for me, means a message that I've read. So, I have to manually click to the next unread message. I searched and searched for a way to tell TB I want to move up after a deletion because that is my next unread message. He continues to only go down to a message I've already read.
