  I am tracking down each device connected to my router nighthawk and I identified everyone except this. There is a device of Wirelsss appears when I connect to the router that does NOT have an IP address but it has a MAC address. When Windows Installer goes to the sale of Shell folder of the user who is logged on to the computer, Windows Installer cannot locate the correct entry.   The steps to correct this problem involve editing the Windows registry.  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved.   Step 8 KB 886549 suggests that you also check the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. However, by fixing my problem, I had not to change values in the registry key.  If this does not work without the full procedure, follow ALL the steps in the referenced article.

  What drivers tell you exactly? Display, chipset, sound, etc. ?

  Theoretically, it should be possible, but it s according to the material. For example if your Qosmio has the same chipset as satellite you can use these drivers. Otherwise it wouldn't work because the hardware is different.
