I want to install 64-bit Windows using the recovery procedure

I brought a L series today and I just turn it on.

I need help to set up 64-bit windows. I chose 64-bit but on the next screen, it says factory default software for recovering or erase the hard drive, including all data and were leaving.

Which one to choose?

The first, of course.
You want to have recovery settings (factory).

  • Qosmio G10-133 - Install Qosmio Player and using the recovery disk

    Hi again.

My g10-133 was the mother of uypgraded installed by Toshiba that there are back and forward in his first year with problems of graphics chip, so they installed the motherboard with the 6200 chip chart.

Until very recently, I installed Windows XP to one of my dead computers that I've ever had anywhere with my original recovery qosmio disc such that it has been damaged. I recently bought an other G10 as I wanted to replace the keyboard and display and it came with disks,

I put in a raw player. I used the recovery of the Qosmio player disc, and this indicates that it is complete. I then installed the Toshiba Recovery disk that has Windows MCE on it. (I have now three original copies of the present). But when windows go to start, the computer gets past the Bios and then quickly goes to the blue screen of death... I tried to use break so that I can read this, but it does not work. I tried more than a windows disk, but not joy. I also had special instructions for Toshiba, which has the Qosmio updater on him, and also another drive which has some additional drivers.

So far, I've tried all sorts and whenever I go to start the laptop, it crashes. The Toshiba recovery disc has two methods that an automatic and a step forward on (which I don't have a clue how to use). The automatic, which does not implement the normal windows installation, but evokes a Toshiba says... and it goes from 0% to 100% and ends each time.

If I use my Windows XP disk from another pc it install fine. and the laptop is fine until it reaches download Windows SP3, which seems to slow everything down.

I would like to install the Qosmio to style factory if pos.

What you need to help your service provider which has replaced the motherboard. A long time ago I heard talking of this and what I know is that the machine must be ready for use: This means service must update the BIOS, verify compatibility of memory, RAID functions are not the same, Bios, EC/KBC and DMI must be updated and rewritten. The laptop owner must be willing to work with new hardware components.

If I m remembering well this new mainboard has different chipset and recovery image that you are trying to install has really bad drivers inside. With other words: after the Exchange system motherboard drivers and the Qosmio Player require an update.

You know the whole process is a bit complicated, but, as far as I know, Toshiba service provider must send you instructions for Qosmioplayer update and instructions for the update tool.

At the moment I can't help you. Please call again and ask for help. If you will not get any help it let us know.

  • I can repair windows using the recovery CD?

After sfc/scannow, it finds corrpted files in my windows that they could be fixed. can I use my recovery cd to repair?

If this is not the case, how can I do if I don't have windows installation CD?

Your Manfacturer computer provides support for recovery Vista for your license of OEM pre-installed Vista, not Microsoft.

If you bought a computer "in white", you could then buy a retail Vista disc/license from Microsoft and installed.

Microsoft Vista DVD that contains all Recovery Options.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them why THEY do not provide what you want.

They are only required to give you the means to reinstall Vista, which they have done in the easiest way possible. either by drive recovery or a recovery Partition.

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (winodws.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com

Can I install 32-bit windows 8 on Windows 7 64 bit home premiun

    Hi Nathan,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to the description, it looks like you want to install Windows 8 32 on a 64-bit computer.

Yes, but you can do this using Upgrade Wizard. If your PC has a 64-bit compatible processor (CPU), but is running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro, but you will need to buy it on DVD and perform a custom installation. It is available in your country or region, you can buy Windows 8 Pro at a participating retail store. You can also buy online at the Microsoft Store in Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

Please note that the Windows 8 Pro Pack is used for the upgrade of Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and is not for the installation of multiple architectures and doesn't include any media. If you want to change the architectures, buy Windows 8 Pro.

You will not be able to keep all the files, settings, or the apps when you upgrade a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.

  • 32-bit windows on the computer OEM portable 64-bit?

    Hi guys!

I use a lenovo g550 model with an Intel t4500 Penium 20023. official website of the intel, as you can see here, this processor has a 64-bit instruction set, which shows that he is a computer portable 64-bit... But when this laptop was brought, it was delivered with windows 7 32-bit Home Basic. According to what I know, there should be a 64-bit version of this version of windows. I want to know why was shipped like that and if I can pass an operating system Windows 64 bits of purchases.

    Thanks in advance,

    @reya

32 bit OS is the basic option for more pre-built for specific basic laptop. If you need 64-bit OS, you can try to find a 64-bit version of Win 7 home base somewhere, install it and then activate it with the windows serial No. you have on the sticker of authenticity of mobile.

Lenovo will charge you for the 64 bit version of the recovery media.

  • I want to use the recovery to any format CD

I am currently using Windows Vista and I want to use the recovery to any format CD.
I don't want anything that has been preinstalled to be more on my HARD drive.
Should what options I use when you use the CD and it will reinstall Windows?

If your recovery CD contains the Vista operating system then the installation procedure is very easy.
You need to boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD and follow the instructions on the screen. Installation would format the drive HARD integer (clear partitions too) and would install Vista, driver, tools, tools and software on the laptop.

Simply said, you will get factory settings books ;)

  • dDoes anyone know of any legitimate code of windows search programs and a way to get the code for the window using the product id and receipt of a store

    Original title:

    Windows code

I have 2 questions... 1 is - anyone know of any legit windows code, find online programs for windows on a computer code. My wifes sister and she want to fix his computer by putting in a new hard drive and installing windows, but I wanted to see if I could legitimate his computer code and the sticker is missing, damaged already.

    2. is possible to get the code for the window using the id and product received in a store you microsoft some how I have two computer, I bought my children 3 years ago and to replace hard drives with larger ones, and one of them still has readable sticker.    Thanks again

As I said, reported for an installation by the manufacturer OEM of Windows key code reflects the image of their system and not the license key on the sticker that is what is needed for a re-installation of consumer, is not surprising that the Samsung 2 is the same.  The key to the thumbnail is not stored anywhere other than on the tile.

If you cannot or do not want to clone the disks, you can buy a recovery media set at the manufacturer or new media of Windows 7 (becomes very expensive and problematic for the commercial version that MS no longer sells it).

  • Return to Windows 7 by using the recovery partition

I installed Windows 8 on Windows 7 and want to go back to Windows 7 using the recovery partition.  Is it possible that I can do this?

No it is not possible, unless you make the recovery disks that copy the recovery on an external partition. This partition is unnecessary after windows installation 8. Consider using windows 8 and 8.1 upgrade and always start on the desktop instead of the Start Page. It is very similar to windows 7 with a few improvements.

  • Can I use the recovery discs HP on a new SSD for HP Envy Windows 8?

    Hello

I've owned my TouchSmart from HP ENVY 15 - j105sa Notebook PC, Ref. F5D08EA for a few months now and I would like to upgrade to an SSD Samsung Evo 840 (500 GB) HARD drive.

I use the recovery disks that I created when I got the laptop to install the OS on the new SSD? I know that I could do it with previous versions of Windows, but with secureboot etc I do not know if this can be done with Windows 8, I know, it can be disabled in the BIOS, but I have the latest bios update for my laptop that I check regularly.

    Thanks for any help.

The method the most painless way to do is to buy the new SSD as a migration kit.

Migration kits are delivered with a USB to SATA data\power connector and cloning software.

Recovery and recovery usb media discs games requires that the target disk is the same size or larger than the original. In using the method of migration (cloning) will show that a problem.

    It makes you, thank you.
