I want to install windows xp on my new Mac (purchased Parallels). I have my windows xp disk and product upgrade button. Should I purchase the retail version?

My computer died about two weeks ago.  I was able to transfer many files, but I realized that a lot of my programs (Microsoft Project, for example) are still in Windows format.  My old computer was a Toshiba Satellite, which limped along for some time.  I went through a number of improvements, but the latest is windows xp, I have the disk to upgrade to.  I hope not having to buy a new retail disk, if possible.  Thoughts?  Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike Halperin,.

You will need to purchase a full version of Windows XP to install on Mac.

Install, reinstall, or uninstall Windows
