  This only works with free templates and those that you made yourself.

  Third party models with their own Installer are not in these files, and you will need to re-run the installation program.

  Yes, you can use the same key and buy a new product key (same edition). Of course, you can simply buy a retail box package in order to get the key. There is no digital distribution of the keys (if you find one, they are illegal).

  If your software is activated on both machines and if you try to activate on the third machine, it will give you a prompt that your software is already activated on both machine and if you click on continue it turns off other machines software and the software is activated on the new machine. On the other computer where you want to use the software you can directly connect to reactivate.

• Deployment models for the new cluster - "A" failed to Connect to Host

  Hi all

  I reorganized my ESX 3.5 2 130756 machines in a new cluster (they were already members of another cluster & lt; - this can be an important factor here).  When I try to deploy new virtual machines from templates to the new cluster, almost immediately, the task fails with the error "failed to Connect to Host."  Here's what I did on troubleshooting:

  -I confirm that nothing has changed on the console host IP and DNS service on the ESX host configuration

  -restart services on the ESX host management - tried again, failed.

  -removed and added hosts in cluster - tried again once, didn't

  -disabled DRS on cluster - tried again, failed.

  -confirmed I can deploy templates to other clusters

  -confirmed I can deploy a new virtual machine custom again cluster manually

  -restart the ESX and vCenter server hosts

  -removed ESX cluster hosts and destroys Cluster and file

  -recreated cluster and added guests, same error

  I think I've tried all the basics, but please let me know if you think something else to try.  In the VirtualCenter newspapers, there are the following entries whenever the task fails:

All I can see in the upgrade doc is that there is a tool for migrating data with earlier versions, but not when moving to 5.5.

  I guess you run ESXi and vCenter 5.1?

  If it were me, I'd do the following:

  -Install a new instance of vCenter on a new Server R2 2012

  -Turn off the old server vCenter on 2008.

  -Save the remote SQL database vCenter.

  -Install a new instance of the Web, the inventory Service and SSO client. I remind vCenter to use the SQL remote database existing and chose to 'upgrade' when installing vCenter.

  Then you'd be in vCenter server 2012 R2 with a new facility and using your old database that will get upgraded. You will always retain so your dvSwitch information. I'm not sure of SRM, you probably need to reconfigure it to use the new vCenter Server (unless you use IP records or that you can easily return?).

  There are a few things to think about when you really do. Can you afford any downtime on vCenter? What of SRM and your RPO/RTO? The complexity is your configuration of SSO? Use you things like tags in web client (they would get lost in the reconstruction of the inventory service)? What confidence you are on the side of things RS? It is possible to save these configurations, but I'm not sure restore them on 5.5.

  The main thing to consider is the database really. Worst case, you can restore it and turn back on your old vCenter 2008.

  There are too many unknowns to give you an answer about your plans.

  I looked at the specs for this PC and I do not see why he cannot run W7 if you have a W7 64-bit installation disc and product key.

  Can you put the hard drive currently with W7 top in your new PC and expect it to work?  Probably not.

• All-new Machine Windows 8 - windows update does not progress

  New Windows 8 machine (for my father) - had installed Office, Chrome and Firefox only.  Tried to go to Windows Update to ensure that it has been updated for the latest and best and he finds 65 updates, and he hung up download them.
