I was given a HP Pavilion Slimline s3407c who had Windows Vista pre-installed, but it won't start.

I was given a HP Pavilion Slimline s3407c who had Windows Vista preinstalled. It had crashed. It won't let me access the safe mode. Even if I can access the menu. I have a Windows XP Pro startup disk, but he hangs up when he says... examine the boot environment. It does not give an error code, it just stops. What is the cause and can it be resolved?

  6. Type the password to login in the password field, and then click OK .
NOTE: If you do not know the password, leave the password blank and click OK . If you can not go beyond the password window, notify the administrator of the system to the password or performing a HP System Recovery to restore the system to its previous state.

  • Pavilion Slimline s3407c upgrade to Windows 7?

I got this computer since 2007 and it works. Periodically, internal processes overwhelm the system and I can't work. I had to do the factory reset twice in seven years and was about to go to #3 this week, when the system itself fixed just with no help from my friends.

-Is a common problem with Vista?

-Would be upgraded to Windows 7 help or I open myself in a world of new problems?

-J' followed support advise to disable "Load Startup items" on the config. Is it a long-term solution or that serve only as a troubleshooting tool?

    Thanks in advance!

Your computer came with Windows Vista 32 - bit, it is actually able to run a 32-bit OS or 64-bit. As your computer comes with 2 GB of RAM, I recommend you stay with a 32-bit operating system. If you need to upgrade to 4 GB of RAM, I suggest using Windows 7 64 bit instead.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5510y of: No. Wireless Network Adapter installed

I just bought a Pavilion Slimline S5510Y Desktop opportunity; not an installed wireless network adapter.   Y at - it somewhere that I can download the map?

Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office.  It doesn't have a wireless adapter.  It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card.  The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded.  There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1.  It may depend on the type of network you want to use.  The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC.  If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do.  Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers.  If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

  • Pavilion DV6 - 1247CL upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 8. 1

I want to improve my Pavilion DV6 - 1247 CL Windows Vista at Windows 8. 1. I read on the site of Microsoft support that the only way to upgrade Vista to Windows 8.1 must do a clean install of DVD. Will I have problems with the HP drivers, etc... ? If so, what should I do to avoid these problems?

Yes there is no direct upgrade path from Vista to Windows 8. 1. I provide a counterpoint here. Your laptop is powerful enough to run Windows 8/8.1 and I bet all the drivers work just very rare possible exceptions that will be easy to fix. I would say what you can do to give up Vista is a good thing. You might want to consider Windows 7 as an alternative, but all that will take place in 7 runs generally 8/8.1.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s3760in D: need help in Clean install Windows 10 pro 64-bit?

    Hello

For the past few months I am running windows 10 pro where I had to upgrade windows 8.1 pro 32 - bit windows 10 pro 32-bit. If my system is activated in windows 10 pro and it is authentic.

When I checked in the type of system, it says operating system 32-bit, x 64 processor.  4 GB RAM only 3.12 GB of RAM is usable.

This means that my processor supports 64-bit operating system. That's why I intend to clean windows install 10 pro and install the 64-bit version so that I can use all 4 GB of RAM.

That's why went into a tool for creating media and downloaded Mediacreation Toolx64 but when I try to launch the app it shows error "this app cant run on your pc. But Mediacreation tool for 32 bit gently. According to me, given that my current OS is 32-bit so mediacreation toolx64 is not running.

So I was wondering if I run 32-bit tool mediacreation and choose 'create multimedia installation for another pc' and chosen architecture (32-bit and 64-bit) times, then the clean installation of windows pro 10 OS will I have the option to choose between the version 64-bit and 32-bit version?

[2] already my windows 10 pro is active in 32-bit version, I get a product key error when I clean install 10 pro for the 64 bit version of windows?

[3] will be my windows 10 64-bit pro is activated? Since my windows 10 pro turned in a 32-bit version.

Microsoft memo said "Your PC will activate online automatically as long as the same edition of Windows 10 has been activated successfully on this PC using the free Windows 10 upgrade offer."

    HI Varadar,

You're right, you choose the installation program of the media creation tool that corresponds to your current system, but create a support for another PC and select 64-bit or both.  I would choose 64-bit.

Yes, what you plan should work.  Once you have upgraded to Windows 10 32 - bit and Windows checked 10 32 - bit is set, you can use Media Setup to switch to Windows 10 64 - bit.  But... I could ask you to wait a month.  It was reported on the sites a Updatefor Windows 10 is expected in November.  This update will include some changes and corrections that we have already published to our group of insiders test.  The recent blog post is hereand scroll to the bottom of reading on the Activation stuff.  We also wrote about the changes, including the news of your task in our own forum.

What do you think should work now today, if there is no problem or bug there is no backup.  But if you wait a bit, then the backup as explained will use your Windows 8.1 Pro key into your HP motherboard.

    I hope this helps,

    Charles

It's NO problem with my Windows XP or earlier programs.

    Thank you

    Hello, Paul

Thank you for your very warm and understanding response!

I did watch the video and found the forest about adding to my library 'Images' useful - thank you for this!

I found several files using the 'Search' function and is very useful.

However, this morning, I downloaded the manual to the user of a brother of a friend and wanted to put on it

portable key reader, but I was unable to find using brother or anything else.

I can find my own created documents (but not always, because they are misplaced or accidentally)

    put it somewhere else).

I need to know the LOCATION where I can find something that has been downloaded - and it has not been

even in my downloads folder.  Do you know something about this?

Thanks if you can help and I will definitely return back and click on "Congratulations" to you.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline S5610y card mother Windows 7

I bought my office a year ago and THREE WEEKS.  The motherboard is "slaughtered."  I can't find a replacement.  Help.  I can't afford to buy a new computer every year.  I read somewhere, that HP has become aware of the problem with this motherboard.  Thank you for your help.

Call HP and ask if they can help you in some way. Depending on when you bought the computer and when their warranty value system to date, you can have a bit left of warranty. If the system says you're out of warranty, I can try to get a direct e-mail for you.

  • Pavilion d61 40f PC: upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am trying to upgrade Windows Vista Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 (64 bit) on an older machine.  In order to go forward the installation, I get the message that I need to uninstall the following programs: Business Manager and Anti-Malware Core.  I looked under "programs" and "programs" on my C: drive, but I can't find any progams by those names.

Can someone tell me what I should look for, and where/how do I uninstall these files?

I am a novice and would appreciate your help in simple language. Thank you very much!

What you have is a rogue malware. Get the free Malwarebytesand scan.  During installation, you will see one already ticked box (trial) enabled. Just uncheck that.

    Hello

When you turn on the power, you do not get the HP Splash Screen Logo?

    The screen remains completely black?

If so, you have a hardware problem.

    If under warranty, contact HP.

If it is not under warranty, contact a repair shop, local.

    See you soon.
