  It is removed, it's just in your own knowledge and memory.  If you know that you have not used and don't want that, then you can delete it.  It's entirely your choice

• When I click on a video file, I wonder what program to use to run it.

  I use any plugins to play my video files. Instead, I trust the Player multimedia itself. Currently, there are a lot of files that open in VLC or Windows Media Player, when I click on their link in Firefox. Some other types of files do not open immediately and I am prompted with a box asking me to choose a program to run the file. I click on "Do it again" or something like that, said, hoping that when I opened such a file, I would not invite with this message again. Unfortunately, this is not the case. While many files opens my media players directly, there are many who ask me what program to use, even if it is verified to use a specific program.

  The setting automatically uses a specific program is linked to the MIME type that the server sends with the file.
  
  If it's a generic MIME type then Firefox does not offer that choice and in other cas servers can use different MIME types.

  I noticed that the following programs is kind of fell in my computer:

  (6) adobe Creative Cloud

  (7) adobe help Manager

  (8) adobe Widget Browser

  Especially #6 is annoying with the frequent pop-up invites me to upgrade Adobe CC programs although I have not at all programs Adobe CC.

  I would like to delete #5, #6, #7, #8, but I don't want to run into trouble.

  The sage advice about programs that I can safely remove?

  You can uninstall all if none of the 1,2 and 3 are subscription programs.

  But seriously. For a newspaper, I would avoid without font ("Arial", Helvetica, universe, myriad). Why not try some of the rich classics? A few of them come on the InDesign DVD, but I don't know which. Minion Pro is a very nice, but perhaps too modern. Try Jenson Pro, Caslon Pro or Adobe Garamond Pro. The 'Pro' means that these fonts have extended features, such as the former graphic ornaments (very pretty when used in the proper context!), style old numbering and true small capitals.

  Use a classic police will be your journal gives a very high class look.   Quick history: I have more a TB of family video clips.  Some are mine, some are old family movies transferred from the 1960s and others are video clips taken during the meetings and weddings of members of the family who chose to get something from them. I did the photography for years and use Lightroom & Photoshop.  Now with my CC account I've been teaching myself how to use first Pro, so I can start working on this family project.

  Question:  I'm looking for the equivalent of Lightroom for the video.  A program I can use to import my clips, rename, organize, see metadata, discovers, perhaps minor edition & trimming, rate/flag, and (perhaps more importantly) to allow a kind of keyword tagging.  Then open for more extensive editing in Premiere Pro.  It would be great if, like Lightroom, the finished project could then be exported in finished format I need.

  What I tried: I understand that Lightroom can import video, I tried with a sample of clips, but found LR limited to work with videos (which makes sense).  There are many programs CC that I do not know the function of.  I read a little on the prelude, but I can't find a recent tutorial on Lynda.com; I tried searching "Adobe Prelude", but that only turned up prelude CS6 workshops April 2012?  This makes me wonder if the program of the prelude is not very popular because tutorials of his updated version are not available or in high demand? (Research on Lynda.com for 'Adobe Prelude CC 2014' nothing found).

  So that's where I thought the Adobe community would be an excellent resource.  What are 'video people' out there to help?  And that I should stay away from?  thank you so anyone who can take the time to share their expertise and help me launch this project on the right foot.

  The question of change of naming conventions and/or native folder hierarchy has little to do with the solid state media and everything to do with the data container and header that connects audio/video broadcasts with metadata, allowing the content or the 'essence of media' decoded properly and play.  Is the reason to use a tool like prelude or first media browser or even bridge or Lightroom or a third-party tool like metafuze or shotputpro or software format camera record dedicated like sony xdcam clipbrowser or panasonic p2 browser, redcine x, ect, as these tools are designed to analyze A decision-making / changes correctly syntaxed data and make sure v metadata is integrated directly in the media or in the prelude and first case container can also be enrolled in a sidecar XMP file, which is a flavor of XML that contains all the metadata of original capture associated as well as changes or additions made through these tools.

  Hazards come into play when the file changes native naming convention or a folder hierarchy are are directly on the content of media via the finder on mac or explorer Windows, any change at this level can break the relationship between the metadata stream and the essence of media, because changes are not written to the metadata or content of the headers or dealt with in a manner known as transmuxing...

  Media browser prelude & first time allow the search in the native files safe and destructive amending either the metadata related to the indigenous media or also allows a transcoding to do which will be then to copy or recreate a new media file in any format selected and a new metadata stream.

  Prelude is a nice utility and Media Browser of first a great tool to organize, edit and selectively ingesting media and or meetings and selects fast.

• What server HP would you choose for ESX?

  At the present time, I have in my main site, two ESX 3.5 Enterprise servers. They are the two boxes of HP Proliant DL585 G2 with dual processor Opteron 8218 (dual-core) and 32GB DRAM. I am (or was) running of VMotion. Each host has about 12 people. All guests are Windows servers.

  I think I need to add a third server. I have a quad core DL580 G3 who is sitting here doing nothing. I can also buy something. I wonder if I should continue to buy less of big servers like the DL500 series or several small servers as the DL300 series. I think to go with a dual processor (quad core) DL585 G5 with 64 GB of RAM. ESX license fees would be less if I go with the 500 series, I guess. I guess because I'd be able to run more customers for each host with the same license fees. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

  You pay by used socket so it is an acceptable model.  I actually did this at my previous job.  I ordered a DL-585 and used 2 x QC processors and 64 GB of memory.

  Have you looked at the new DL 385 G5P?   They have 16 memory locations.  4GB DIMM is pretty cheap, so you could reasonably get 64 GB of memory in it.

  To install Acrobat 11 on 6 computers, you can purchase licenses in Volume.

  But since you want for only a month, you can buy a subscription Acrobat.

  A single subscription is good for 2 computers and the same Adobe ID can be used to buy multiple copies of Acrobat subscription.

  However, you can opt for creative license team cloud such that you can become the Admin and grant access to 6 users who wish to install Acrobat on their machines.

  Well as you can see, I made a long question.  But perhaps hearing that I can develop what I want.  I model material fire and fire for a hobby machine.  Also, I do all kinds of heavy and equipment trucking and want to make stickers for my models.  I know for certain things must have a special printer that can make colors such as white and gold.  For the price of a printer Alps I'll stick right with my HP inkjet printer.  Now I do 1/87th scale so I would need the ability to scale downwards or upwards depending on where the decal will go.  If on the doors there will be low but on the back, it may be larger.

  If any of you do this job, I'd love to discover and deepen skills also what program is the best.  Now, I am retired and as everyone's money is a problem so keep that as a consideration for me also.

  Jerry, because graphic design isn't usually a picture of tone, but rather as a logo, I suggest you use Adobe Illustrator rather than Photoshop. Illustrator is a vector program that suffers no loss of quality with a change in size and has the tools to allow you the freedom of creation in your design. Visit your local book store and look at some of the how-to books devoted to Illustrator. You will be pleasantly surprised.
