I wonder why... (New sequence set in place)

In view of the excellent ability of CS5 in order to 'Create a corresponding sequence' to an element when it is moved on the new icon... I wonder why we're still forced to go through the process of setting up a sequence when you start a new project?

(I'm aware that you can also create and use a custom put in place at this stage).

Would be nice if that could be possibly short-circuited directly in the application.

Thank you.

will I have a report of weirdness to cite it?

You need to fix CS6 first missing sequence settings:

  • New sequence - drag the icon from the dialog box new sequence

    I work with AVCHD shot in 1080 30 p.

If I create a new sequence by using the 1080 p AVCHD 30 preset, I get a red line at the top of my sequence indicating that there could be problems that made reading would set.

If I create a new seqence dragging a clip MTS in the folder of a new element, there is a yellow line at the top of the sequence, indicating that there is no rendering required.

I checked the settings of the sequence. As expected, the sequence created through the sequence settings dialog box is on "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode and the "no fields (progressive scan)" for the fields. But the sequence created via the shortcut drag-and - d├⌐poser is set to the Edit Mode "Desktop" and the "upper field first" setting for the fields.  The editing Mode and settings fields are the only differences between the two sequences.

I use a Panasonic AG-HMC150 and shooting at 1080 30 p. The AG-HMC150 uses the AVCHD format and the MTS file extension. My system does not have a taken Adobe supported GPU. I am sure I used the setting of 1920 x 1080/30 p on the camcorder.

I also shot clips by using the 60 720 p setting and the same thing happens. The sequencing method drag - déposer creates sequences on the Office and upper field first.

If my clips were somehow 30i, the method drag - déposer should create a sequence with "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode. But in both cases (1080 30 p and 720 p 60) Editing Mode is the office.

But who can ask the question: why the Pro P bad interprets AVCHD video?

This is a bug - pure and simple. There is no other reason than that. This exists in CS5 and CS5.5 (assuming that you are referring to AVCHD 1080 p 30). I've not seen it work its interpretation as a progesive - with 720 p 60 - for me, so I'll take your word on that.

  • Beginner frame size question-new sequence is not what says PP

I want to crop 30px from the bottom of a 576 x 352 movie. If only I could drag a marquee selection autour with a crop tool and save it would be perfect.

All that I know to do is create a new sequence with the new frame size 576 x 322, then copy the old film in it. I have create a new sequence of Custom, and PP dialog box shows that it has the desired size (scrn bottom CAP), but it isn't... its actually much smaller and the most cultivated in all parts. When I copy in the 576 x 352 images in to the new sequence, the image size is not yet near. What I am doing wrong?

The spacing in pixels between these two screens do not match... are the pixels of your film footage square pixels, or more narrow les.909? Make sure your settings to completely sequence corresponding to the size of the image file - and all other things except to change the dimension of height. So remember to slide images of this sequence, using 'set to the size of the image' and see if it works better.

  • When you create a new project, the "new sequence settings" step doe appears not automatically, what to do?

    Hello

I have a question I make videos of product for a company that they would do that to me in a 16:9 format and in HD. Because they do not know on which channels they want to publish, but it is certain that they will publish on youtube I wanted to do it in the settings HDV and DVCPRO HD 720 p 24 or even 1080 p 24. I bought the license to create online and for some reason that I don't have the option at the beginning when I create a new project to change the settings for the sequence. They do not appear, and then I can not change. Guys do you have any idea what can be done in order to access this setting before the project opens in the end?

I'd appreciate strongly any help in this matter!

    See you soon,.

    Mascha

This option is no longer available in the current versions of first. Once you click OK in the new project dialog box, you can then create some sequences that you like new sequence in the dialog box. You can also return to any order and change them through the sequence settings.

  • Create new sequences of the Razor tool

    Hello:

I have a video of 2 hours of questions / answers in a forum.  I want this divided into 8 sessions of 15 minutes, each representing a different question.  I can cut the clip using the razor tool, but I don't see how to take each piece of 15 minutes and place it on a new sequence, thus creating 8 sequences.  I then export each 8 sequence regardless as a flash video, creating 8 videos flash can I insert into Dreamweaver.

I tried to copy / paste, drag, but the sections cut do not seem to want to leave the original sequence that I imported.

    Ideas?

    Kind regards

    Rich Locus

Create a copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 1" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the first session.

Create another copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 2" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the second session.

    Repeat steps.

    Notes:

Don't forget to work on duplicates, and then save your cutting the length.

Create a duplicate sequence by selecting

in the project Panel and then Ctrl + click - move.

  • First Pro CC does not create a new sequence with a new project

I'm sure I must be missing something, but when I create a new project in first Pro CC, it does not automatically create a new sequence.

In CS6, create a new project would cause a list of sequence presets, and then create a sequence is empty for you.

In CC, once you have created a project, you end up looking at an empty timeline.  You then go to the file, new, sequence and it do.

Looks like a strange step to include, no?

Is there a setting that I have not found so made CC to create new projects with a sequence like CS6?

Yes, as Jim mentioned, there are other ways to create a sequence.  For example, simply import your video footage and then with a clip selected, choose file > New > sequence of the Clip.  Or in the project Panel, drag an item to a new item icon.  Much easier create the sequence of way, rather than by reading all the parameters in the dialog box new sequence and try to understand which attributes correspond to the media they work with.

  • Why use sequences?

Hi, I wonder why you work on different sequences and then link them together in the timeline? It's just for long videos more than 10 minutes? Why can't you just edit the entire movie in one sequence? I wondered as I need to use first without losing too much time.

    Thank you

    Ed

    Hello

Let's say you have 8 strips of mini DV an hour with a video camera, which shot 14 days of any event.  You want to make a DVD... then you can 1-2 hours of a final product... on the DVD.

So, you have to edit footage from 8 hours to 1.5 hours down lets say... using the best of the videos and tell some type of "story"...

I could make a sequence for each band (8). .more a sequence for a first installation or final cut...

Then I could use each sequence "timeline" to slide to the bottom of the source monitor images useful.    (in the pro world they would be called 'prints' by the Director)

Once you have all of the good things of the 8 different bands on the timeline, you can begin to copy/paste or whatever the sequence of rough cut / final.

Keep it all organized... like having a "workflow" that lends itself to obtain the final product...

In Firefox, you will need the QuickTime plugin;   See the article "Using the plugin to read QuickTime audio and video" http://mzl.la/1xKrVrv but: Mozilla plans to abandon support for all plugins NPAPI (with the exception of Flash) in March 2017, when Firefox version 52 is released.

  • How to use the new sequence when it is reached its maxvalue in PL SQL code

    Hello

Currently, I am the filling of a number of unique product in a table column by using a call sequence to generate the new number. For different products, I have different sequences and in my PL SQL code usiing IF... Else block I fill the serial number for different products. For a sequence more selling product, we reach a Max value in the production in one month and ensure that the application continues to run properly for the different end-users without getting any error on their screens, I want my code to automatically switch to the new sequence. I just need to add another if condition but my problem is how to find precisely when the maximum value is reached in old sequence.

As the call to the old sequence can occur in different sessions he could be inconsistency and can be found in the error. My new sequence value must begin with AV1000. Please suggest.

My old sequence look like this:
    SEQUENCE of Prd
    INCREMENT BY 1
    START BY AS1000
    MAXVALUE AS9999
    MINVALUE AS1000
    NOCYCLE CYCLE
    CACHE 2
    Order Yes;

  • I can do something that would cause all the new sequence files to have the same local variables?

I would like to add local or drop some variables global to all the new sequence files I create. I was hoping that I could simply add the variable to the process template and make it appear whenever I created a new sequence or in any order who have used this process model, but it doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone know a way to do what I'm doing?

    Thank you.

    Skeptic,

If you use TestStand 4.0 and later versions, you can create a sequence model by adding a sequence selected in the models pane of the TestStand sequence editor.  You can then use this template to create all your future movies.  Once you configure the model you like you will be easy to reuse this sequence skeleton again.
