Beginner frame size question-new sequence is not what says PP

I want to crop 30px from the bottom of a 576 x 352 movie. If only I could drag a marquee selection autour with a crop tool and save it would be perfect.

All that I know to do is create a new sequence with the new frame size 576 x 322, then copy the old film in it. I have create a new sequence of Custom, and PP dialog box shows that it has the desired size (scrn bottom CAP), but it isn't... its actually much smaller and the most cultivated in all parts. When I copy in the 576 x 352 images in to the new sequence, the image size is not yet near. What I am doing wrong?

The spacing in pixels between these two screens do not match... are the pixels of your film footage square pixels, or more narrow les.909? Make sure your settings to completely sequence corresponding to the size of the image file - and all other things except to change the dimension of height. So remember to slide images of this sequence, using 'set to the size of the image' and see if it works better.

  • Is it possible to adjust the size of the frame of a new project?

    Hi all

I would like to create a video in which there are 2 videos playing the same content from a different angle.

    Each video is 512 x 384.

So I would like to define the size of the frame of the project such as 1024 x 768 in order both videos to exist.

I looked around tutorials in this regard, but I can't find anything similar. It seems as if I can not adjust the size of the frame of the project from the outset.

So, is there a way to do this?

I thank you for your time, read this.

  • When you create a new project, the "new sequence settings" step doe appears not automatically, what to do?

    Hello

I have a question I make videos of product for a company that they would do that to me in a 16:9 format and in HD. Because they do not know on which channels they want to publish, but it is certain that they will publish on youtube I wanted to do it in the settings HDV and DVCPRO HD 720 p 24 or even 1080 p 24. I bought the license to create online and for some reason that I don't have the option at the beginning when I create a new project to change the settings for the sequence. They do not appear, and then I can not change. Guys do you have any idea what can be done in order to access this setting before the project opens in the end?

I'd appreciate strongly any help in this matter!

    See you soon,.

    Mascha

This option is no longer available in the current versions of first. Once you click OK in the new project dialog box, you can then create some sequences that you like new sequence in the dialog box. You can also return to any order and change them through the sequence settings.

  • First Pro CC does not create a new sequence with a new project

I'm sure I must be missing something, but when I create a new project in first Pro CC, it does not automatically create a new sequence.

In CS6, create a new project would cause a list of sequence presets, and then create a sequence is empty for you.

In CC, once you have created a project, you end up looking at an empty timeline.  You then go to the file, new, sequence and it do.

Looks like a strange step to include, no?

Is there a setting that I have not found so made CC to create new projects with a sequence like CS6?

Yes, as Jim mentioned, there are other ways to create a sequence.  For example, simply import your video footage and then with a clip selected, choose file > New > sequence of the Clip.  Or in the project Panel, drag an item to a new item icon.  Much easier create the sequence of way, rather than by reading all the parameters in the dialog box new sequence and try to understand which attributes correspond to the media they work with.

  • New clip sequence does not apply the compressor Pro of Res...

I wanted to test first to see if she could handle the Pro Res videos (who, after some initial research, I read that it is possible). So to see for myself, I imported a video Pro Res 422, the clip click right and choose 'new sequence of the Clip... But it seems not to apply the compressor Pro Res 422...

The video is originally HDV and I converted to the compressor to 422...

I know it is perhaps unnecessary to convert HDV to Pro Res (to not mention that the HD clips weigh 45 MB and convert 205 MB, although the res pro FCP is less tax on the system as opposed to HDV, not sure if it's the same with first)... But I will receive pro res files soon, and I want to make sure that they work properly in first.

    Thank you

  • First Elements 9 - output video does not not in the source frame size

I am using first Elements 9. My source of the layer film is 1080i 1920 x 1080. During the edition I have no problems at all, all lines upward. The video is 38 minutes. I use the SHARING option and the subset of the COMPUTER, with a custom preset to export for a bandwidth limited distribution of data (< 800 Kbps). The end result is a 38 minutes long video that's a little more than 150MB in size. He reads very well, quality is what I expected it to be for this size, but here's the question...

There are 2 black vertical stripes on the right and left edges of playback. The original video is very good, these bands are actually add on. The edition size of the image and the export frame size is 640 x 360, which I believe is close to the default size of youtube. It feels like the exported video allows more like 720 x 360, and to compensate for this loss of space, it makes the area on the left and right of the video, that when editing, has been hidden. So what we get is this "behind the scenes" areas where I can see titles fly in and out that normally you shouldn't see, etc..

In addition, some images were objects that are part of the schedule, shifted to the right or left by almost 100px.

That's where I'm looking for any help / suggestions you have.

    Thank you

To make sure that I'm following correctly, you are importing 1920 x 1080 videos with square pixels, BY - 1.0, in a 640 x 360 project, with a NORMAL non-recognition. Is this correct?

The edition size of the image and the export frame size is 640 x 360, which I believe is close to the default size of youtube.

How you handle the HD less than SD down-rezzing?

Whence the image size of 640 x 360?

Maybe I'm just confused, and something happens?

    Good luck

  • my new Firefox worm 29 always starts maximized how do I set the size of the window and not expanded?

    I reinstall my Windows 7 (win 7 pro 64-bit)
so I had to reinstall firefox as well, installed worm 27 and upgraded to version 29
now when I run firefox it will start maximized and I want to adjust the size of the window when it starts.
Why the size of the window will not change and it will start maximized all the time?

    1. In Firefox, type Subject: support in the address bar and press ENTER.
    2. Click the display folder. A Windows Explorer window opens.
    3. Right-click on the Firefox task bar icon and select close all windows or close this window.
    4. In the window of Windows Explorer which opened earlier, delete the file localstore.rdf .
    5. If you have Firefox pinned to the taskbar, right click on the taskbar icon, then right-click on the Firefox icon in the menu that appears and choose Properties.
      • If you have a shortcut on the desktop, simply, right-click and choose Properties.
    6. Click the shortcut in the Properties window.
    7. Be sure to only run is set to "normal window".
  • Question of sequence settings (Screen Shot attached)

    Hello

I wanted to thank all the people on this forum who help others.  Someday I would love to do the same.

I think I can make it easier on those kind people go towards others by attaching the screen shots to my startup issues.

My question is about the sequence settings.  A lot of the key who are grayed out:

One problem is that I can't change my display of 24 p format.  This isn't on the drop-down list provided.

Also, I'm shooting in the codec H264 on a Canon 5 d Mark II, but can not change it, nor can I change the size of the frame (I got caught usually in 1080).   Instead, I'm locked in a DV codec and a 'Standard' Canon because configuration that the 5 d does not appear on the menu drop down.

Looks like you are trying to change the settings for an existing sequence; You can do that - or more precisely, you cannot change all the parameters that affect the reading and the scaling of a sequence.

If you are only working with Canon 5 D footage, there is some sequence presets set up specifically for such images. When you create a new sequence, browse the categories of predefined settings in the left pane of the dialog box new sequence; you want the folder DSLR. Find the preset that matches the size and the framerate of your videos and create a new sequence to use.

Another solution is to drag one of your clips for the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel - is the one who looks like a chipped sheet. First will create a new sequence of the corresponding properties of the element and insert this clip. From there, you can add multiple images.

Don't worry too much on the choice of codec here. Select the preset to the proper order using the appropriate codec, and this choice dictates that the codec used to render the preview files if you have a portion of your order which will not playback in real time.

  • Import image sequences do not import images

I have a sequence of 99 JPG images I am trying to import into Premiere Pro. These images were created by an export from Lightroom.

When I perform the import from the first image, only 35 pictures are imported.

If I import the sequence from the 34th image, only 2 images are imported.

If I import the sequence from the 35th image, 1 image is imported (and it is imported as an image file, apparently).

If I import the sequence from the 36th image, the remaining images are imported.

I tried a number of different settings for export from lightroom, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. By example, if I export as TIFF I see exactly the same problem. If I export in JPG format with a small size of the image, I see exactly the same problem.

    I tried «Replace footage...» "without result.

When I inspect the image files using an image view there appear to be no problems with files. The volume of the files are consistent and not great inordinantly (~ 5 MB).

The file names are all correctly numbered as expected by Premiere Pro.

I did it dozens of times before successfully this problem, and I did successfully a number of times since the problem arose. The problem seems to occur only with this particular set of images.

I can work around the problem by importing the images as two separate importations (a beginning with the first frame and a second from the 36th image) and putting together in a single sequence. In fact, this spliced sequence looks as expected with no missing frameworks or anything other untoward that I can see.

I have searched with this for a few days and cannot discern other factors that can be the cause.

Anyone have an idea what might happen?

It is not the date and time, it is the name of the file. The name of the file goes to a new sequence and Premiere Pro can't tell that a file that starts with 20140225 is supposed to be followed by a file that starts by 20140226

  • How to have a video preview of the SET (basic question but its does not work)

    Hello

Ive been playing with this for more than 2 hours and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get an overview of the full video. All I can get are the clips. When I click on the source tab it only allows me to select individual items not the entire track. How on Earth to view the entire video?

    Thank you!

And for bonus points, is there a way to slim down the sides of the video (there are black bars in the native file) and render it again it? For example to change a video from 720 x 480 to 720 x 380, but not shrink from the whole of the file, but rather to cut the sides (Sony Vegas can do this Im wondering if the first can too)

This format/Frame Size would dictate a Desktop Preset to match. I would create such a sequence, and then just do a Ctrl + A (select all), Ctrl + C (copy), move to the new, correct sequence, target tracks, the ICT value 00. 00; 00; 00, and then Ctrl + V (paste). No, you should now have all the black bars.

    Good luck

  • Create new sequences of the Razor tool

    Hello:

I have a video of 2 hours of questions / answers in a forum.  I want this divided into 8 sessions of 15 minutes, each representing a different question.  I can cut the clip using the razor tool, but I don't see how to take each piece of 15 minutes and place it on a new sequence, thus creating 8 sequences.  I then export each 8 sequence regardless as a flash video, creating 8 videos flash can I insert into Dreamweaver.

I tried to copy / paste, drag, but the sections cut do not seem to want to leave the original sequence that I imported.

    Ideas?

    Kind regards

    Rich Locus

Create a copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 1" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the first session.

Create another copy of your full length sequence.

Rename the duplicate sequence "Session 2" (or something similar)

Edit this new sequence to include only the second session.

    Repeat steps.

    Notes:

Don't forget to work on duplicates, and then save your cutting the length.

Create a duplicate sequence by selecting

in the project Panel and then Ctrl + click - move.

  • Offset clip (sequences do not match)

Hi, can you help me plase in my doubt? I can't put 2 sequences (or videos) all this match; Here's an example: I create 2 sequences with the same settings. In one, then I put a video which original resolution is low, but I click "change sequence settings" when the clip of mismatching window appears.  The other video has a resolution of hig, and when I put him on the timeline, click also in "setting of the sequence" then he fit my project settings. Here'S THE PROBLEM: when I try to put the 2 set of sequences (or videos) in the same, a doent match with each other. Low video resolution gets very tiny with huge black borders.  What I am doing wrong? I hope that I was clear in my question, its simple to understand, I want to just put 2 videos in order without one with as low resolution gets huge black borders around it, that's all. Thanks in advance.

    Wizarddamacumba wrote:

When I do that, change the scale, I get a good result, but my main doubt is about joining od diferrente resolution of video sequences without having black borders. There is no way that I can do?

Sorry, but no NLE I've ever met ever there will allow you to do. NLe all present different resolution of videos imported - and clips which the resolution is higher that the resolution of the sequence (or timeline) appears strongly increased and heavily cropped. Similarly, the clips whose resolution is much smaller than the resolution of the sequence will appear tiny and "gutterboxed". There is absolutely no way at all whatsoever automatically scale different resolution clips in any NLE.

And I think you're using the term 'sequence' not properly: in terms of Adobe, a sequence is a chronology and of any content to the breast. (Although you can nest several different sequences in a new sequence.)

  • New sequence - drag the icon from the dialog box new sequence

    I work with AVCHD shot in 1080 30 p.

If I create a new sequence by using the 1080 p AVCHD 30 preset, I get a red line at the top of my sequence indicating that there could be problems that made reading would set.

If I create a new seqence dragging a clip MTS in the folder of a new element, there is a yellow line at the top of the sequence, indicating that there is no rendering required.

I checked the settings of the sequence. As expected, the sequence created through the sequence settings dialog box is on "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode and the "no fields (progressive scan)" for the fields. But the sequence created via the shortcut drag-and - d├⌐poser is set to the Edit Mode "Desktop" and the "upper field first" setting for the fields.  The editing Mode and settings fields are the only differences between the two sequences.

I use a Panasonic AG-HMC150 and shooting at 1080 30 p. The AG-HMC150 uses the AVCHD format and the MTS file extension. My system does not have a taken Adobe supported GPU. I am sure I used the setting of 1920 x 1080/30 p on the camcorder.

I also shot clips by using the 60 720 p setting and the same thing happens. The sequencing method drag - déposer creates sequences on the Office and upper field first.

If my clips were somehow 30i, the method drag - déposer should create a sequence with "square pixel 1080 p AVCHD" in Edit Mode. But in both cases (1080 30 p and 720 p 60) Editing Mode is the office.

    Jeff Sengstack

But who can ask the question: why the Pro P bad interprets AVCHD video?

This is a bug - pure and simple. There is no other reason than that. This exists in CS5 and CS5.5 (assuming that you are referring to AVCHD 1080 p 30). I've not seen it work its interpretation as a progesive - with 720 p 60 - for me, so I'll take your word on that.

Report it here: Adobe feature request/Bug Report Form

In the meantime, just as progressive footage after importation and continue as you would otherwise.
