  Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

  Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
  launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
  reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

  Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leave the file system, Web,.
  Operational network (Script and behavior are also recommended in Ver 6 +).

  Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

  Protected IE - mode

  If there is absolutely nothing on the disk you want, just format the drive and install Windows XP:

  1. start from the CD. You may need to change the first boot to a CD device in the BIOS. To do this, when you switch on the look for a configuration message indicating what key to start typing, F2 and del are commonly used. The message appears for very long and it you miss, you have to restart the computer. In the BIOS, look for a section that contains the boot sequence, change it to CD, save it and let the computer to restart.

  2. the installation sequence is answering the message press any key to boot from the CD, and then press ENTER to set up Windows, press F8 to accept the EULA, delete the partition, press ENTER, type L to confirm delete, type C to create a partition, choose (Quick) format.   What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

  You cannot import a project file (.prel) in another.

  For now, generalize choice

  a. export your Timeline (your intro) content to a file saved on the hard drive of the computer. And then import that

  file in new projects by using the new project add Media/files and folders. See publish + Share/computer/and the other

  choices here to generate this file intro for later use in other projects.

  b. you can set up what is called a dummy projects - this is a project with nothing other than the intro file. And, at all times

  you want to use the intro, you open one of these saved dummy projects and add your media sources.

  A lot of things to discuss. Please fill in some details more and then we can refine the answer for your particular situation.

  As a prelude to 2014.0, we have added a feature allowing you to choose what number to start the increment of.  Look in the section ingest Rename dialog and change your preset. When you click the button, you should see the option "Custom Auto Increment". This will allow you to choose what number to start on.  We've also added a few newspapers to try to remember where let prelude last successfully interfere the operation by using this option. So, in theory, to remember the number for you. But if it isn't (maybe you want multiple kickoff ingested at the same time) you can always manually set the number to start with.

  Check that out and let me know how it works for you.

  • Run msconfig.exe, and then uncheck the startup tasks that you don't need. No matter what you disable, Windows always starts.
  • Use a light virus scanner, for example Microsoft Security Essentials.

  I currently have installed Mcafee software because it was free of my Bank and I don't think it's terrible. I would like an opinion on which is the best available full system security. Money is not the factor more important, but I'd rather not spend a ton of money either. We use our computer for online banking, shopping, etc..
