IB services currently Manager migration question

If I only added an additional Manager to an existing service operation, do I also need to migrate some objects IB related to this operation of qa production environment?  Appreciate any comment. Thank you.

If it's an existing service operation, then you can simply migrate the service operation handler.

  • Lack of Service Control Manager executable (WinService.exe)

I get the following error during startup by the Service Control Manager:

    ********************

Windows could not start the SCM_Service service on the Local computer.

Error 2: The system cannot find the specified file.

    ********************

After checking the properties I realized that the real WinService.exe is missing. It should be in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ directory but is not there. I searched the entire subdirectory of Windows, but there is nothing there.

    ********************

    Properties of SCM_Service

    Path to the executable file:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\WinService.exe

    ********************

Could someone give me an idea how to restore this file please?

If you cannot run the SFC, then you probably have more system files missing or corrupt than just WinService.exe - but we can't really say without CFS.  I fear that some type of resettlement is eventually inevitable.

If your hard drive is showing corrupt sectors, we should make a complete diagnosis to ensure that it went wrong (or is about to go wrong).  To test your hard drive, check the manufacturer and then get the diagnostic utility of: http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/hard-drive-support/302602-hard-drive-diagnostic-utilities.html.  If she failed the test, replace it.  If she passes the test, then it's probably nothing wrong with it.

Remember to do this last system repair/upgrade procedure, you need an Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc.  A manufacturer's recovery disk will not work (it only allow you to do a clean install, which is not to preserve your settings or your programs if you can first backup and preserve your data).  That's what we have to do if you can't get your hands on a genuine disc, but it is best if you don't have that you can borrow a disk from someone somehow.  I don't know that the warranty includes replacement of an Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc if you have been issued one in the first place (unless maybe you can prove yours is defective).

Going back to September for a restoration of the system is probably a little too - especially since we are not some that will actually solve the problem (although he often works in this case - but I don't know that I would do so far back me).

    I hope this helps.

  • Calls of "Service Control Manager".

Hi, I keep on receiving phone calls from people who say they are of Service Control Manager telling me that my computer's security is compromised. They are making great efforts to convince me that they are genuine, and they know my name, address (and, of course, phone number).  One this morning kept me on the phone for ages and asked to be connected to my computer to solve the problem, although she said that she would not be when I refused the white point.  When I asked a letter mailed to explain the problem, she offers, but which now grew to the point that my ID would be cancelled by Microsoft if I don't have something on the issue.  It even reminded me when I lost patience with her and hung up.

Are these called authentic and I have a problem with my computer, or are they hoax calls?

  • Service Control Manager 'Mistakes' 7001 & 7023

    Separated from this thread.

All of the above Services are set to automatic and started, but the problem persists. In the event viewer, I get the Service Control Manager 'Mistakes' 7001 & 7023 and cannot identify what is the cause. I have turned off Homegroup and reactivated it hoping that it was the culprit, but nothing helps. My biggest problem is to track down what exactly is the cause for me the answers in EV are vague. I've done clean boots run SFC/scannow nothing helps. I also do not show NetBIOS TCP or whatever it is in the plug-and-play hidden devices in Device Manager. I have Win7x64 Hm Prem on an HP pc custom.

Jerry Merci for your reply. Fortunately I managed to solve this problem via another site of microsoft to a position that was several years thanks "RiverWay May4th 2013" (link) http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/function-discovery-resource-publication-0x80070005/3a149bbb-4ccd-4b2c-bd88-dd642a85575e?rtAction=1433718960031 as follows:

    He said: -.

"I was able to move beyond this error by doing two things:

    (1) open a prompt with "run as administrator" command window and run the following:

    > net localgroup administrators localservice / add

    > net localgroup administrators service / add

    (2) delete all files in the C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking folder. Some files wouldn't be deleted because they are used. I've just left alone.

I'm not sure if step 2) was really necessary. In any case, after that, I was able to start the service Function Discovery Resource Publication . I changed the start mode of the service to "Automatic (delayed)" as others suggested.

    Hope that helps ".

It cleared up my event viewer errors, seems when I started tinkering with homegroup settings in SCM began pestilential havoc on other parameters and which started when I googled everywhere to try to find out why when I restart my desktop computer so slow to produce icons they start white and then slowly come back to life or generate slow down my pc. Leading also to run sfc/scannow which found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them which led to SFCFix which sets and sfc/scannow which forced me to look at in the first place of event viewer. In any case its all good now.

    Thank you

I have this for over a week but have now resolved, for me at least.

Click on the details and see what SC. EXE tries to run.

Mine was SC. EXE 'start SbieSvc' which is Sandboxie.

    Update this solves the problem.

  • Windows credentail Manager / SSO question, hope someone can help me out on the following problem that concerns me a fews months ago.

Currently, our network has replaced a border router that connects to a Checkpoint firewall. After the replacement, the SSO service is fully does not. When you use IE to access my company's intranet, he invites me user intranet and pw whenever I close IE and reopen. I find that the credentials are already stored on the Credential Manager. However, the guest continues to show every time I run the application IE. Most users under this router with the same problem.

In addition, the problem is not limited to EI. It happens on the Outlook as well.  I would really like to know

    (1) why the credentail crib does not work?

    (2) what is the mechanism behind?

    (3) is it possible the problem caused by the firewall and router? If Yes, what should I do on them to make the window manager of credentials to work?

  • Domain migration question

    Hey!

    I kinda a strange question...

Recently a contractor migrated our domain Server 2003 on new servers Server R2 2012. Domain level is still 2003. This brings me to my point, we have an old Windows 98 PC running a piece of legacy software, since the migration, it does not communicate with the domain. He emigrated from DHCP, DNS, and DC services more to the new servers.

I went in the DNS settings on the network of the 98 PC options and he stressed the new domain controller. Since I made this change, we can do anything, it keeps popping up a box on the network of the operation is not permitted when attempting to authenticate the user to the domain.

I know that Windows 98 is not supported in the field of 2008 levels and especially, but because the domain level is always 2003 is only fair that Windows server 2012 cannot communicate with Windows 98? Another that reactivate among domain controllers 2003 old is there any fix?

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)
  • Event ID 11 ATAPI / Service Control Manager event ID 7031 / crashes / freezes...

OK, I'm almost certain that it is a hardware problem; probably in the hard drive (because that's what I read form similar problems online).

I have a Dell XPS m1330 laptop computer, 2 GB of Ram, Vista Home Premium, 2.2 GHz processor, Nvidia G8400 MS with 128 MB allocated.

Basically, he started a week or two ago, I got bluescreen containing "KERNEL_INPAGE_DATA_ERROR", out of the blue. I read it can be caused by incompatible software, which makes sense to me because I have recenty changed in msconfig startup programs, to try to speed up my startup... It was fine for a day or two, but then I got persistent crashes, woulf computer freeze for 20 seconds - 3 minutes (90% of the time when I was using firefox, although he did so with just iTunes open by himself before).

Checking event viewer I've seen above, errors with the Red 'X'.

I also see a lot of "Volmgr - the system does not have empty data in the transaction log.". Corruption can occur "with a yellow '! ».

Also, I see some "Kernel-processor-Power - the speed of the processor 0 is restricted by the system firmware. The processor has been in this state of reduced performance for 9 seconds since the last report. »

I often get warning messages that various programs have stopped working and the dialog box "do you want to close now or wait to face." These programs are sometimes an indexer Board/management console/windows search service Mcafee etc...

Today, I got a new problem, a warning box appears, saying a critical error has occurred and windows will restart in one minute, telling me to save and close all work immediately...

The only reason why I post here instead of replacing parts is that I updated my Dell Support Center and ran a test of the hard drive:

    Targeted reading test
    Test started 03/05/2011 12:37:29
Error message: Error reading sector 23962699. 03/05/2011 12:38:14
Error message: Error reading sector 23962698. 03/05/2011 12:38:58
Error message: The test found 2 errors in sector. 03/05/2011 12:39:01
    Completion test: Failed 03/05/2011 12:39:02

For some reason, it won't test the rest of the hard drive, just do not here and stop the test. However, he claims that the mistakes above are not "allways" indicative of hard drive failure... and annoyingly, tells me to do more tests...

I know this doesn't look good, and I am extremely optimistic to think I can remedy without replacement of the equipment, but are there steps I can take before finally diving into the portfolio? (Guarantee missed 3 weeks ago... obviously).

    ChkDsk runs fine, no problem.
Reference Dell Diagnostic returned failures in the hard drive, which I can list if necessary.
I checked for new drivers, nothing there.
I took out my hard drive, compressed air used to attempt to clean the connectors, nothing helps. (Note I've heard SATA cables may be at fault, but I wasn't able to get to them because of their location, migt need to disassemble my laptop further if you think it's worth)
Off the CD/DVD rom drive (had mistakes occasional cdrom with yellow "!") The computer can will work perfectly for hours and then suddenly hang down to the minute, and Event Viewer is filled with dozens of error ID 11 atapi...

    Any advice?... huh.

Rich, Yes, the DVD can take the place of the partition.  However, I would test to ensure that they work properly before you delete the partition of the DVD.
Yes, however, it will restore your computer to its original state.  This means that you will no longer Win 7, but programs and original OS.

  • Power management & random question sleep/put into hibernation

    Hello people!

First of all, I'm an administrator COMPUTER experienced, and I've owned 6 Thinkpads over the years... the machine in question is today a Thinkpad W530 (K1000M, 16 GB RAM, 240 GB SSD Intel, Windows 7 x 64, latest drivers and BIOS).

I had a weird problem where out of no where, and while on battery, the computer will go to the default mode ' uh oh, battery runs out, record everything! Aka, if Hibernate is enabled, the computer will be in hibernation. If I disable Hibernate in Windows, then the computer go to sleep. So the problem is same, and for other symptoms can present as "hibernate without warning" instead of "sleep without warning.

In any case, this occurs sporadically and often at times that bothers. The first few times, I didn't know what has increased, but I looked into it a little further now.

Immediately after this forced sporadic "sleep" / "hibernate" happens, I checked the event log:

    "

    The system to sleep.

    Reason to sleep: battery

    "

Now, obviously, this is no good. I was a little confused the first time I saw that as the power manager, or the built-in Windows gauge showed low battery. And after that I take for sleep/hibernate mode, the battery is still fine.

Today, however, I only found a major clue. This time, instead of simply jumping to a sleep/hibernate event, I got a low battery critical Windows popup warning first, and looking at the Windows battery meter was shown left 7%, even if Lenovo Power Manager gauge showed a little more than 50% left. Almost immediately after, he does it is sleep and I wake him up once again, and of course, as always, the battery level returns to normal.

If long story short, it's a pretty serious battery level report bug somewhere in the drivers of power? Or is it a bad battery? (And if that were the case, why only Windows reports the State of the intermittent dangerously low battery, Lenovo Power Manager no?)

Just curious for some feedback, otherwise, I'll have to start RMAing parts, or even the entire machine. Of course, having Windows sometimes think that the battery is not about to die is not acceptable. Imagine if I was doing something critical and decides the computer "uh oh, battery low time.» close it as soon as possible! ».

Yes. Define your event of critical battery doing nothing. It is a workaround, but it is not too bad workaround.

  • (Processes and Services) Task Manager tabs

I am running "Vista Home Premium" on my laptop and have recently noticed that my hard drive runs continuously in the background. The light is constantly on and I hear the player running. I would like to learn more about how to read and let you the 'Task Manager' tabs as process, Services and more particularly the Performance section. Where can I go online to learn more about them or someone will give a brief overview? Keep in mind that I've already followed the previous instructions and cleaned my startup and services in "MSCONFIG" and took other measures to keep my free disk of software and spyware malware.

Here is some information that will give you more of an insight:

To see which tasks are running, open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type cmd /k tasklist/SVC (note the three spaces) and press ENTER. Close the command prompt when you finish the consultation.

To get a better description of the associated services, access (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Task Manager > processes tab and on a specific Svchost, right click > go to service (s) to see all the Services, which are highlighted.

You can also use Process Explorer to see what services are running. To view the svchost process, leave the mouse pointer over each svchost.exe pointer in the left pane. Download from herehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
