iCloud, shared Photo Gallery sort order

Hello

I have a little trouble with the albums shared on iCloud.

When I upload photos to the shared album it seems to put the photos in order that she loves rather than the order in which I chose at random.

Is there a reason for this or is there a way to manually sort photos?

Photos are sorted in the order they are added to the shared album. If you add a bunch at once, although they cannot go in the order you think they should. Make them one by one to get the order you want.

Is there an optimal resolution for iCloud Photos sharing on computers, iPad and Apple TV?

I want to scan photo album my grandparents to share with my friends and family. I scanned a few pages of test at 3200 x 2000 pixels. They have look great on my Mac and look great on an iPad also. I want to future proof them for 4 k and recent televisions.

Is the size of 3200 x 2000 pixels too small, too large or OK?

If you want to transfer photos using iCloud shared Albums, photo sharing, they will be transferred from smaller - the edge long will be at maximum 2048 pixels, unless they are panoramic.

I would scan the photos to a pixel size you want to keep for reference, so you can print them in a format you like - 4000 x 3000 pixels or more, and when you share with iCloud, sharing photos they will be slightly reduced in any way.

Shared albums are essentially photo streams. They will always show the photos in the order that add you them to the album.  If you want your photos to appear in a specific order, you must add them to the album individually, one by one, exactly in the order of your choice.  You cannot add all photos in an album at once - which will give unpredictable results.

For example, to create a new album with your photos.  Then ctrl-click on the album and select "Keep arranged by Date, oldest first" to sort the album.  Now add each photo from the album shared individually.  There will be a lot of work.

  • Photo library - sort order of the change for "organizing a month."

Is it possible to change the sort order when viewing the pictures library, arranged by month? When I put the menu "arrange by" to "month" in the library pane, files in my library of images are correctly grouped by month, but in reverse chronological order. The most recent month is displayed first. For example, September 2010, August 2010, July 2010,..., etc. I would like for this switch to chronological order: January 2010, February 2010, March 2010, etc. The option "sort by" is grayed out in the menu. I can value the sort order ascending or descending if the library is organized by day, but not when arranged by month. Thank you.

    Hello

I searched all the documentation and it doesn't seem to be any way to reverse this order, when the month is checked?

    Kind regards

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • iCloud, sharing photos for Non - iOS users

So, I use iCloud for about two years now, and it does for the most part, what I want and need to. However, whenever my family and I go camping during the weekend, take a vacation or just to Barbecue a Sunday afternoon, we have a ton of photos on a large number of devices. For the wife and children, this isn't a problem since we have all of the iPhones and use iCloud. But, it seems that we are facing a problem whenever someone on an Android phone has a few pictures they want help or like to download some pictures that we have added.

Y at - it an easy way for non - iOS users view and/or edit albums shared iCloud without going through a several-step process (transfer of office, download third party app, etc..)? It is my understanding that an Android user should be able to display/change via a web browser, but don't seems to work. I looked at other cloud services and apps, and major issues, in that I continue to run are:

1: having to pay another Cloud Computing service, when I already pay for iCloud is not economic.

2: I find a lot of the photo-sharing applications and services give a lot of storage, but at a cost to the quality of the photos. My wife and her friends are always doing something creative with your impressions so even some 'high quality' compression can degrade enough make it unusable.

3: I have a hard time to ask someone to download an application, not to mention of asking them to pay for one. Nor am I comfortable someone jump through hoops, just so that I can watch through a batch of photos in the hope of finding one or two which are useful.

So, is there an easy way to do it, or I'm stuck or wait for Apple to understand a feature like this would be useful or leave iCloud for a solution amicably more cross-platform? I do not understand that Apple needs to focus on the development and support of applications and services for its ecosystem and customer, but would it not make sense to make it convenient for outside users to have a great experience too?

I don't know what problems you encountered but the sharing Web site works fine for me.

  • Send photos to iCloud sharing album

I tried to download nearly 500 photos to an album shared on iCloud, however, he transferred only 76 and when I try again to add more he said, however, share a lot of photos (I tried with lower amounts at first) it says sharing 2 (lets say) photos in the upper right corner for a long period of time , but then the photos are never actually added to the album... extremely irritating

  • sharing photos on iOS

In iOS, we can add multiple accounts to: email, contacts, calendar and so on.  Why we can not choose which iCloud account we want for our photos?  My wife and I have separate apple ID, you can easily share contacts that we can simply use some iCloud/s account we want on our phones.  Why can not do this with pictures?  My wife and I want to take pictures of our distinct features but want all the photos on a same goto iCloud account.  Any suggestions?  iPhone 6 s more, ios10 and iPhone 7, ios10.

First, Apple does not have Apple ID to share as you mention, i.e. for contacts.  If you want to share photos, the only way it can be done is through - iCloud, sharing photos - Apple Support

  • Sort order of the photos in albums to iCloud

When I add the creation of an album using Photos shared on iCloud, pictures are sorted by date, oldest first, any order, they were initially classified as.  Is there a way to change that to preserve the original order of the photos, or at the very least, use manually in the order, I want to use?

Shared albums are sorted by the order, they are added to the album if you wish in a precise order add them manually one by one.

  • change the sort order in the photo gallery

I'm changing the sort that photo gallery displays my photos.  Right now, it appears it's their date/time display.  I want that they appear in the order of file name.  I changed the file names in the image library and selected "sort by", "name", "Crescent" and is sorts them properly in image library list, but when I opened the Gallery of pictures, it is always showing them by date/time order.  They show in a different order in the Gallery how they appear in the list of image library.  Can you help me?

Unfortunately, this is just one of the many shortcomings of the Photos app we
really has no options to change the sort criteria.

  • Windows Essentials: Photo Gallery 2012 - sort order problem

Photo Gallery 2011/2012 does not sort/group thumbnails correctly by date.

When the photos are grouped by year:

1 video clips (for example: MP4) sort by modification/creation date, not date tag, as they should.  Change the date system files created or modified with a contact tool do not bypass this problem (this is the date of somewhere hidden/inaccessible).

2 photos with no date or Date acquired, or Date taken always sort incorrectly in the current year: Ideally, they should sort a group of unknown date.

    See if that helps,

    Use the sort by,.

  • iCloud SORT ORDER album.

How to preserve "sorting" of a photo album, when I make a shared album iCloud?  All my work sort of creatively, is lost when the online album sharing.  Maybe I should use DropBox instead?

    Thank you.

A shared album is essentially still a shared photo stream, even if Apple has changed the name of 'shared Album.

If you want to have a shared album sorted in a specific order, you add photos to the album individually.  Thea bum will always be sorted at the time wherever you add photos. If you share photos in an album at the same time, the sort order of your album will be lost. Add photos to the album one at a time, in exactly the order you want.

  • Sort order of the shared album

How can I change the sort order of a shared album so that pictures are classified by the date instead of the date downloaded?

I went into the menu "View > sort > ' but the only option is 'Keep sorted from oldest date added.

You can not - shared albums are in the order of adding the photos

  • Cannot start sharing photos icloud

I have several apple devices that can access iCloud, photo sharing, but not my primary iMac. However, if I register in a guest account, I can access iCloud, photo sharing. I guess it's a system file problem, but don't know which.

When I go to Shared in pictures, I get a message, "iCloud Photo Sharing is available in the library of Photo System." I toggled iCloud Photos on and outside, signed in and out of the iCloud, removed com.apple.cloudphotosd, among others and still no love. Any ideas?

El Cap 10.11.6, but had the same problem in older versions as well.

    You give confused information

What exactly you are doing - sharing photos to iCloud and iCloud photo library are two totally different services - with iCloud, photo sharing you do not access to ' ' photos - you invite people to subscribe to shared albums

What version of the operating system and Photos are automatically using, and what are your settings on your Mac and on every IOS device iCloud. And as for the library system - launch Photos using the library wanted and then in the preferences to set it as the system library (if defined as system library is grayed out it's library system)
