ID ID - sig - 4.1 - 4 - S92.rpm.pkg of loading constantly

Hello

I noticed a strange behavior of 4235 IDS:

I've got automatic updating before and it works great.

Is check the directory signature on my FTP server every hour and looking for new .pkg files.

When a new .pkg file is found, it is loaded correctly.

But whenever there is not a new .pkg file in the directory, my ID charges IDS - GIS - 4.1 - 4 - S92.rpm.pkg file.

SH ver command shows a correct (last signature, 4,0000 S125 currently) running on the IDS.

So why is he constantly loading the file ID - sig - 4.1 - 4 - S92.rpm.pkg?

Thank you

Milan

This a known issue.

The problem occurs because the sensor one alphanumeric instead of strictly digital control over the names of the files.

S92 is superior to S125 when looked at the character by character 9 is greater than 1.

This will be fixed in a future version of sensor.

The solution is meanwhile simply remove your S92 through updates of signature S99 of your directory to update.

NOTE: The 4,0000 S91 Service Pack file can remain in your directory to update, because the service pack (sp) - files are treated differently that signature updates and should not have this problem.

    Thank you

When you log on to the service account, you use a unix bash shell (not the CIDS cli). Also, if you have an ssh server running on you high tower of the page (from your description, I think you do) then you have what you need to perform the upgrade of the scp. I will show two options:

    Option 1)

    (update directly from cell phone)

-you will need to know the path to your file of package on your top of the Tower, in this example lets assume that you have a user defined as "sshU" ssh and the IDS*.pkg file is located in the directory sshU. Suppose also that your IP of your laptop is 10.1.2.3

-connect the sensor with the admin account (you will use CIDS cli)

    -conf t

    -ssh host 10.1.2.3

    -Yes

    -scp on the rise:[email protected]/ * *//IDS-K9-sp-4.1-4-s91.rpm.pkg

Option 2 (only if option 1 failed)

-Connect with sensor as a service (you will use unix bash shell)

    cd/tmp

    -ftp 10.1.2.3

    -User:

    -Password:

    -cd

    -get an IDS-K9-sp-4.1-4-s91.rpm.pkg

    -quit smoking

    -output

-connect the sensor with the admin account (guess sensor IP is 10.1.2.99 and service account name is 'service')

    any ideas?

V5 is a lot more about correct configurations that v4 was, which is why some things than v4 that slide will produce an error during upgrade to v5. Obviously there is something in your time zone settings that he allowed to v4, but like v5.

A conf "sho" on your sensor v4 and near the top of the page (just after the IP addresses), check all do in the section "timeParams". My guess is you have some parts here, but at the very least, you have not defined a DST zone name. You can set everthing correctly under here by running "setup" in the CLI, and when it asks you if you want to "Change the system clock settings" answer Yes and work your way through the guests. Then try the upgrade again and let us know how you go.

If the error persists, please cut and paste your timeParams section and we'll see what happens.

  • S49 signature update for 4.01 S37 IDS

    We ID 4210 and version 4.01 S37 and IDS - GIS - 4.0 - 2 - S46 updates, IDS - GIS - 4.0 - 2 - S47 are installed. Can I install S49 update to my ID?

S49 cannot be applied to sensors 4.1 (1) you must first switch to 4.1 (1) with the following package:

    IDs-K9-min-4.1-1-S47.rpm.pkg

Then, you can install the update of the Signature S49:

    ID - sig - 4.1 - 1 - S49.rpm.pkg

    Both are available at:

    http://www.Cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/ids4

The problem you're going to have, is that the 4.1 update package (1) requires that the memmory your ID-4210 is increased.

If you SmartNET contract on your ID-4210 while you can use Cisco product upgrade tool to order the upgrade of memmory without extra charge.

The 4.1 update (1) cannot be loaded on a 4210 IDS without the upgrade of memmory. If you cannot load S49 without upgrading memmory.

  • Combining the scalar output with the acquisition of data time vs RPM

I have no idea why my 9402 NOR does not work as it should, but I don't know he counts the pulses, and at that time I need data for my forthcoming report.

I came to a .vi that contains a very basic way of relating counties in time, however, I need to save the data to an excel sheet for I can analyze it. I have a motor which is connected to an assembly. My encoder measures the rotation of the shaft (no measure of direction availible) which is directly activated by the engine. As load us the assembly, I want to see what the speed of the motor through the encoder. So let's set the engine speed (anywhere from 1 to 100 rpm) and then load the assembly and see if the engine cannot maintain speed. Seems simple but my module is having a difficult time getting one any frequency of the encoder.

Anyway, the .vi I use counts the pulses and divide them by 100 ms once every 100ms. This generates a scalar value that I want to record with regard to the overall time, prefferably every 10th of a second (100ms). I know that I combine the values in a table (2 columns, an indefinite quantity of lines). How can I combine two elements ([time, RPM]) in a table every 100ms and having the table keep expansion of the lines until I hit stop?

  • Question about IPS signature updates.

I installed ASA5510 (with AIP10) on our customer site. But I can't find out how to upgrade the IPS signature. Automatic update is possible? i.e. through CCE id.

Our client is not MC IDS. What should we do? Let me know, please.

Without MC there are no automatic updates directly from CEC. However, you can configure a local server (SSH or FTP) and copy packages to update signature for this EAC server. Then, you can run a manual upgrade of IDM (https://1.2.3.4) or the CLI (session in the ASA SSM card) or set up a schedule of automatic upgrade that will modernize the sensor on the local server periodically. To configure the auto updates, IDM would be the easiest to use. If you want to do a manual upgrade here is an example for the CLI:

    session # 1

    # ssh host 1.2.3.4

    # upgrade scp:[email protected]/ * ///home/user/upgrades/ IPS-sig-S192-minreq-5.0-1.pkg

The following is written in the read me file for the package of service IPS-K9-maj-5.0-1e-S149.rpm.pkg

"For ID-4215, you must also make sure that you have upgraded the BIOS to the version.

    5.1.7 and the ROMMON version 1.4 "

So I downloaded the upgrade utility mentioned above; However, I need to know following

    (1) how to check the current BIOS and the ROMMON Version in ID

    2) to upgrade the BIOS and ROMMON Version, can I do my dekstop (Windows XP) as a server TFTP we manage remote (LINE of LEASE), customer IDS, or do I need to have a local instead of customers himself (in the cisco IDS network beach only) which can be made as TFTP server

    (3) also please let me know how do I know the IDS 4.0 license and if no license is available then, can still update us to version 5.0?

There is no version 4.x license, licenses began only in version 5.0.

You can improve your 4215 to version 5.1 or 6.0 unlicensed.

The minimum versions of BIOS update and forms are easily searched on CCO.

  • Query related to the installation of hard drives

    Original title: hard drives
I have two hard drives and I want to set up as

    1. a stand-alone hard disk that holds the operating system
    2. the second hard drive to keep the files like doc, files, photos, video, and downloads.
    How can I do this?
    Thanks in advance.

It's just a matter of creating a partition on the 2nd HARD drive. Then you can use it for whatever you like.
You can install programs, or just use it to store data.
HARD drive with a speed lower than 7200 RPM are generally best left to the storage (Western Digital Black are
7200 RPM. Their VelociRaptor is the record of 10 000 rpm).
Software load a little slower and may run more slowly on the 5200 RPM HARD drive. Are the 'Greens' HDD
    usually about 5200 RPM.

-If you run short on the HARD the OS disk space is a way to create more space
move your music, photos and video to the other HARD disk records.

A method to move the folders in your main user folder is to R / click the respective folder
    and go to Properties.
Click the location , and then select the partition or folder on your HARD drive that you want to move
This folder is a subfolder of.
After data is transferred, it will be a new shortcut to this new location in libraries.

-If you do not use the libraries you can simply move the data to a new folder on the other HARD drive
(without using the 'rent' option) and pin a shortcut from the new folder to the
Icon from the Windows Explorer in the taskbar.

[If you also need information on how to set up partitions and otherwise manage the HDD-]
The two HARD drives should show up in disk management. This is where you create or delete partitions on your
    HARD drives
Go to control panel (or start menu) > administrative tools > computer management.
    Then click on disk management.
-The HARD drive with the operating system will say - ( system, start...) Main partition). It could be either disk 0 or 1 depending on the port on which the HARD drive is connected to the motherboard.
The other disk HARD would have "unallocated space" If no partition was made.
If the disc already has data, then it must also propose in the Start Menu > computer and data
should be accessible and ready for to add you more data.
If the 2nd HARD drive has no data that you have just made a new Partition. With a drive of 80 GB HARD is a single partition
generally the best option for the management of space.

You can get more details on how to use the disk by typing disk management management in the
Search box Start > Help and Support.

  • Sensor not known version of the IDS MC

The system IDS 4215 sensor is version: 1.0000 S47. The MC of the IDS (version 1.2) does not have this version and recommends an update of the signature.

I downloaded the file IDS-K9-min-4.1-1-S47.rpm.pkg to the web site of Cisco and attempt to update the signature in accordance with the instructions in the ReadMe file.

    I received the following message:

"Failed to update the object. The provided update package seems to be corrupted, or refused permission to read the file. Please check the contents of the update package and try the operation again. »

I checked the downloaded file's MD5 signature, and it's OK. I tried to download the file again and I got truncated versions (size about 256 KB).

I use the correct file? How can I get the correct version of the file? Am I missing any parameter?

    Thank you for your help.

What you have is the package of real update to the sensor itself. If you use MC to push updates, you need the package from the following location:

    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/Tablebuild/doftp.pl?ftpfile=cisco/crypto/3DES/cw2000/mgmt-ctr/ids/ids4updates/IDS-K9-min-4.1-1-S47.zip&swtype=FCS&software_products_url=%2Fcgi-bin%2Ftablebuild.pl%2Fmgmt-ctr-ids-ids4updates&isChild=&appName=&tbtype=mgmt-ctr-ids-ids4updates

It contains the files needed for the update of MC and the real update package will be pushed to the sensor.

    Thanks for your help... Bravo!

Games often is resources intensive applications and will focus on the CPU/GPU to create heat.  What you are experiencing seems to be normal.  Fans will accelerate in order to dissipate the heat, so the speed of 6200 RPM is not unusual.  temperature of 75 ° c, but on the high side, is well below the limits of functioning "normal" for the resource intensive applications.

According to the parameters that you said, there is nothing unusual.
