  • IdeaPad P500 settles not (none) Windows 7 drivers

    Hello

I just updated my ideapad p500 to an SSD and installed windows 7. I got the installation to work, from bios to legacy and can boot into windows, but I can't install the drivers. I am trying to install all the drivers are direct on the Lenovo site listed under Windows 7 for the P500.

I can't install the drivers, except maybe the ones chipset.

When I run a pilot, he often proclaims "the following file is already on your computer" even if this is a new installation, and when I navigate to the location it says (C:\Drivers) will not be that whatever it be listed until I click on it.

Ethernet runes that via claims then 'FichierFichier failed '. Then new Version of the unknown driver in a second box that opens.

When I try to install the mouse driver (touchpad), I get a message saying "access denied" and that it does not support this touchpad.

I also have the same as most of the other video card driver (minimum brightness all the time, can not change it) issue except that I don't have a previous version of the driver to return to. Where can I get a working version?

Many riders will get a windows message saying "could not have installed correctly", but a new attempt does not work. I went to Device Manager and choose a specific folder for the driver (even just put a .exe in a single folder), but the device manager says that it cannot find the drivers.

Now I'm hung up on a black background with a white logo of Lenovo starting for 5 minutes + (I have an SSD...). I would try a different HARD drive, but the process of switching them is miserable (remove the keyboard, optical drive and cover back together (which must be pried off) to swap a HARD drive?) Come on.

How can I solve this problem? The computer worked fine with Windows8, but I want to run windows 7 on my SSD instead. There are drivers available, but none of them does not seem to work and I get the message "the following file is already on your computer" during the first installation. It has persisted through 2 format + fresh installs.

I would be happy to provide you with any additional information.

I used 7zip to unzip the driver files and everything worked. He saw in a post here, finally got my landline number.

Rev10 Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller

How can I install the necessary drivers? and is there another Linux distro that works well with the laptop, instead of Fedora?

Help, please! I bought the laptop 3 months ago and cannot connect to net till now.

For those following and reading of this ... I installed Debian successfully after a format. Debian was chosen because it offers a realtek (package called firmware-realtek) driver.

  • How to install W8 in Mode for Lenovo Ideapad Z510 UEFI?

    Hello world

I've been struggling with the w8 installation on my laptop Ideapad z510 in UEFI mode, but not I could succeed it or me I found something that might help. I will explain clearly the case.

    Point 1:
As I understand it, for successful installation in UEFI format w8, we need choose the mode of 'First UEFI"from the Boot Menu in the BIOS. Then, the source of the shoe must be specified to identify the rigid path to documents to be loaded so that the new OS could be installed correctly.

    Pharmacodependance1:
It is possible to choose UEFI boot mode first, but it is not possible to choose the USB for UEFI boot path in this case, which does not allow to succeed a UEFI boot to your computer. You cannot reach the DVD or USB, the installation files are, and start the installation process.

    Point2:

If we consider the first case, you must choose the Legacy Support of your computer startup mode and achieve the USB or DVD drive to install the new operating system on the computer.

    Problem2:
To succeed the UEFI mode when the computer starts, you should see 4 different partitions on your drive to the point of disc selection, if you choose the disk you install your operating system. However, when you select the Legacy Support in BIOS mode, the disk partition is limited to 2 in my case, that are:

    • Main drive
    • Reserved system (350 MB)

That is why, when I continue the installation, the OS is installed on the traditional way. After installation, when I go into the BIOS to choose the UEFI boot mode for mode, the laptop checks some network connections and said

    • EFI network failure 0 for IPv4
    • EFI network failure 0 for IPv6

    respectively.

So, advice, aid, ideas and suggestions are gladly welcome to overcome this problem. Could you please help me?

PS: Please don't say that "you can't install because your computer does not support", because I have received computer technical service and a W8 version has been installed in UEFI mode. However, I deleted to install W8 pro.

    Greetings,

    Okan

First of all, your bootable USB key must be created in the UEFI. Just google and you will find solutions.

You can install W8 mode UEFI. Just allow to boot from USB in BIOS, select Exit Saving changes and restart.

I think it's your basic problem. Let me know if you have already done this and still having the problem.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 - problem disk MBR/GPT (or BIOS/UEFU)

    Hello!

Someone would be kind enough to tell me how I can disable the UEFI BIOS of my Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 mode?
(I can see very little things and options in the menu of the BIOS for the moment).
It is necessary, as I want to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer and during installation there is an error message - while choosing the partition where to install the system: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed on GPT disks. »
And I read somewhere that disable UEFI mode would solve the problem.

Furthermore, I have ideas or suggestions for this problem.

There are two solutions for your problem.

CAVEAT! The two ways in which I am proposing are going to ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA on YOUR HD! If you what you want to backup, copy before doing so.
First of all, easy, is to delete all partitions on your drive through the windows setup utility. Then, windows will offer to convert GPT disk.
Or, if windows is not this "automatic" way, you can convert GPT disk using diskpart.
To do this, use this manual to access the http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/682-command-prompt-startup.html of the console

    Then, type following commands

    DiskPart

    Wait until it loads, then

    LIST DISK<-- this="" will="" list="" currently="" connected="" disks,="" you="" should="" determine="" which="" of="" the="" disks="" is="" the="" one="" on="" which="" you="" want="" to="" install="" windows="" and="" remember="" its="">

SELECT DISK <0> <--you should="" replace=""> <0>with the number you had on the previous step, in most cases, it would be 0

    CLEAN

    CONVERT A GPT

    CREATE PARTITION EFI SIZE = 200 OFFSET = 1024

    SELECT PARTITION 1

    FORMAT FS = FAT32 QUICK

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE = OFFSET = 206848

    SELECT PARTITION 2

    FORMAT FS = NTFS QUICK

That should be all) after that, you should be able to install windows on your hard drive.

  • IdeaPad U410 works do not in Normal Mode

    Hello

My Lenovo Ideapad U410 has suddenly stopped working in normal mode. If I need to open a link or an important document, I open it in safe mode.

Has anyone in front of the same kind of problem? I don't want to format the system as it is first of all, I would like to know the root cause. The laptop is covered by a warranty but Ideapads isn't an international warramty I guess.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Akanksha

Unfortunately, it worked only for this instance and stop the system of frustration. Words with lenovo team... need to restore the system.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Totally to the U410 - the default factory reset format?

Thing, is that I bought this IdeaPad U410 about two months and less than a month has just decided to format and install Ubuntu, because I didn't like Windows 8. But, as I should be, since that day my life has become a hell of bugs and incompatibility issues. I just could not afford it and decided to returned to the Microsoft Team.

I had all my Lenovo and WinRecovery partitions intact. Then, I tried these always

-Use the key to recovery, to restart the plant; somehow, his right boot Ubuntu.

-Use my flash driver with the system recovery of Windows 8, but he says it's "impossible to reset your PC. A partition of required driver is missing. "

In a desperate approach I followed a few steps to eightforums and by using diskpart I completely erased my HD (after make a backup of the Lenovo and WinRecovery partitions) - and... It did not work. Now, I am lying here with a computer without operating system or data.

Yes, I'm a genius. Have I not hope to solve it (recovery of factory default) or better start to use the laptop as the most expensive paper weight ever?

    Hello

Well, before you do that I realized that I had nothing to lose and wipe all my hard drivers (the SSD and HARD drive) using the command prompt of Windows 8 recovery system via USB. I still couldn't install W8, but later I tryied Ubuntu 12.10 and now it has worked flawlessly.

I do not recommend this because I don't know if in the future this can be a real headache for me, but now, it is perfect and, in addition to the installation of the graphics card, I have no problem.

In any case, thanks Pascal, I'll keep your suggestion and if necessary I'll contact lenovo support.

  • IdeaPad Y450 - Vista to Windows 7 upgrade comedy routine

I looked for more information on how to upgrade my y450 (Vista) to Windows 7 but have been unable to find what I'm looking for. The lenovo Ideapad windows information page 7 is a dead link.

What are the steps to install windows 7 on the laptop? The issue here is the app 'a key recovery. " How do I install so this software will restore in windows 7?

To be honest, this site is a trainwreck: dead links, way extravagant different URLS and formatting and no clear information to customers. I am eligible for the DVD upgrade that I've seen mentioned (I think), but am not willing to go through the ordeal of the expedition. Lenovo could not provide us all with information how to deal with this? I would have thought that there should be a FAQ for customers of series of Y who want to upgrade, but I have not found one.

    1. Please advise how to install windows 7 so that I don't have a redundant vista hard disk for recovery. Step by step would be helpful as Lenovo have non-standard installation with their expansion of one-key. I've seen conflicting walkthroughs of randomly confused customers.

    2. Please provide a link to a support for users of Y450 package which gives all necessary Win7 drivers for massive indigestion, that they force on their customers (key to recovery/dolby buttons/comedy slide works). Or we have to manually review for each driver?

    3. Please explain how the computer come with Vista users can move successfully to Windows 7. (Yes, with a recovery of key work etc.). The goal is to have a fully operational computer - not some hybrid compromise of vista and 7. A key is absolutely useless and a insult, if we can't go back to Win7 than Vista.

    4. I saw a reference to a mythical Lenovo CD provided for those who had laptops with VIsta delivered by mistake. We can * everything * not get this software so that we can have work systems?

If this information is out there and I missed it, I'm sorry. I spent over an hour looking without results. As the first laptop that I got had been repartitioned and used by sellers, and the second comes with a blown speaker, I'm not too impressed. I also have no idea why my laptop has vista on it rather than windows 7.  -J' I bought this laptop about a week ago.

I hope that you will notice that it is all my fault and that the information is there. I can at least with things. If they had not bothered with a key recovery (a ' function' which puts more people out to buy the laptop that encourages them to buy it) they were recorded on R & D and makes a product more successful. You must ask that they thought WTF on this one.

    Please notify.

EDIT: It seems that the recovery system is not supported under Windows 7 (Please confirm). If that's the case then I just format C and install Win7? I've heard of "hidden partition". Is this hidden partition on the C drive recovery and it are erased by a simple installation of Win7 (by the following basic installation wizard)?

I just want a new installation of Windows 7 without persistent walls and unused data (that is, the vista image).

1 / can I just insert the dvd of win7 and install without any problems? 2 / Please link driver pack for vista y450 users switch to Win7.

    TY.

the upgrade from vista to windows7 - y450 download page

After the upgrade, you must upgrade to volume (hidden volume) of the recovery too. for this, you can contact lenovo support (ship service) If you want to update yourself, there are previous discussions on the forum, do a search.

There was also a free option updated for windows 7, but it expired February 28.

to find out if your system supports windows 7, use Update Advisor.

If you want to clean install, you can just format and install windows 7 by microsoft installation floppies.

You can delete what is hidden and all the partition and resize them. But if you make changes on the volumes, a key recovery stops working. (if you're going to do a clean installation, back up the drivers on the volume d: d:/drivers - you may need).

  • format of the clock after upgrading to IOS 10

After the upgrade to IOS 10.0.2on my iphone 6 s the clock passed using two points using a format point.

Language and region are still like before upgrade: Norway.

I tried to change in various other regions which, to my knowledge, uses the same format of the clock, but there is still a point. Is there another way to change this?

    Hi, ferdinanden!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I understand that your clock is not displayed as expected in the iOS 10. Rather than see a colon, showing time as 07:32, you see just one point, displaying the time as 7.32. I would be happy to offer help!

There could be a few different things going on to cause this, and change your region has been a great first step to understand that and fixing it. Given that this did not help, try the following steps. Before you start, use this article to create a backup of your iPhone: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

    1. Replace it with another under settings > general > language and region. See if that allows you to adjust the way in which the clock is displayed. If so, revert to the language of your choice and see if she spends exactly the point again.
    2. Make sure that the value is automatically enabled under settings > general Date & time
    3. Restart your iPhone by following the steps here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
    4. Reset your iPhone settings in settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will not delete your personal data (such as your photos/videos, contacts, calendar of events, etc.) but it can reset it customizable settings (as the wallpaper / brightness, alert sounds/ringtones, the Date and time settings, etc.) to their default values. It will also remove saved passwords and Wi - Fi networks and all previously used settings APN or VPN.

    Have a great day!

  • Pages on issues of formatting to iCloud

    Hey everybody,

I created a document Pages using the Pages application on my macbook pro I downloaded then to iCloud Pages so that I can access it from any computer. The issue I'm having is that I formatted some of the text to have a black background and the text to yellow color. For the life of me I can't understand how to change the background color of text on the Pages of iCloud. I beginning to think that changing the background color of text just is not possible on the platform of iCloud, but wanted to put this out there just to make sure.

I appreciate any help or clarification on this issue.

    Thank you!

Background (highlight) text color controls are absent in the Pages for iCloud, because it is a subset of Pages for Mac.

This has been discussed in a previous post here, not so long ago.

  • Missing language format settings

Perhaps nobody noticed, but Apple have removed in Sierra and iOS 10 th possible to refine the language settings. In El Cap and before there is a 'Language of Format' parameter in the region and System Prefs/language / advanced.

Now I get dates like the 00/00/00 00/00-00 and not as month and day names are displayed in the language of the system and NOT on the language of the regions.

So in my case, the language of the system for Mac OS and iOS is EN but the region is set to Dutch. In the th is I had mints Dutch and the names of days displayed as well as the 00/00/00 a 00-00-00.

Please bring pulde for iOS and Mac OS settings.

P.S. many forums MacRumors etc. have noticed this issue too.
