  So I have a window 7 Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, I used it for less than a month, but something happened a little.   Are playing you games without connected charger because having plugged in seems to correct the offset or at least it did for me

• IdeaPad y580 brightness keys don't work

  I just got my IdeaPad y580 and quickly installed windows 7 64. I downloaded and installed a bunch of drivers, including energy one. After installing that one my brightness orders have begun to display the OSD, but it doesn't actually change the brghtness.

  Problem solved my windows 7 updates necessary to complete.

  I don't think that there is no constraint of size on the mSATA connection in your pc. the only constraints are the sizes of SSD and your wallet.

  I have not seen a larger than 256 GB yet and that's what I have in one of my machines. very happy with it.

  THIS IS APPLICABLE ONLY IF YOU ARE CONFIGURING YOUR SSD AS A CACHE CONFIGURATION.

  The msata SSD used is MyDigitalSSD 64 GB 50 mm Bullet Proof mSATA SSD - MDM-5064.

  I read a number of threads in the net regarding installing the msata SSD in their Y580 Lenovo. Intel Rapid Storage Tech (TSRI) does not work and it is not applicable to Y580, because the "Accélération" function is missing.

  Here are the steps below:

  -backup all your files and create a bootable disc just in case where it will fail.

  -Install the msata in the slot. You can access at the back of your laptop by opening the cover 2 holes in the back.

  -set the bios to AHCI and not compatible.

  -Start windows.

  -Download the software "VeloSSD" trial from softpedia 2.0.0.7 and do not update to 2.0.1.1 or newer version. Note that the velossd 2.0.0.7 works well with my system. However the latest version will prompt me with the error. I have already asked the support for this software because of the problem I'm having.

  -start and configure the software, but the limitation of the software is only up to 32GB. However, when you buy it for $9.99, you can set a larger cache size.

  -FACT-

  Now with my current setup of Y580, I can boot windows 7 within the 35secs from optimizer to start EA.

  I have ideapad y580 and I was wondering if the colors on the monitor are accurate or not. Don't get me wrong, brilliant on-screen colors are very dynamic compared to the matte screens. I have an asus external matte screen. I noticed that the colors are different.

  I noticed that my y580 has a tint blue so that my asus monitor only. I wonder which monitor has the right color? I really need to know because I work with the printing industry and the color accuracy is very important. If y580 is wide color, please suggest how I can fix specifically.

  Yesterday, I received my new ideapad Y580. After installation and test of some games, I found that it was perfect.

  I hesitate to burn them or work with my current computer because the hard drive is already defective, so I'm worried all corrupted files flowing into the new drive.

  Thanks for the reply, I apologize for the delay in replying.

  According to your request, there is no difference between the fresh OS and a factory restore in the factory default drivers will be preinstalled where in the new OS, you need install drivers only your data will be added to this, please take backup of data.

• Y580 - crashing/freezing

  I received a new Ideapad Y580, this week, ordered to Lenovo. I was very happy with it, until I started to run programs. I've seen some people say that Mcafee caused problems, but uninstalled this day here 1 and have updated to Kaspersky Antivirus. All window updates were downloaded and installed and no viruses or malware detected after analyses.

  This is what happens:

  Red Faction Guerrilla - the game will start and end play, but completely freeze within 10 minutes. CTR-Alt-Del will allow me to access Task Manager and end program.

  LOTRO - this game will take place during a 1 hr - 1.5hrs, but then freezes randomly without warning. Again, Crt + Alt + Delete works, and the program can be terminated.

  After program crashes, if you right-click on the desktop the cursor becomes a busy-blue-circle, the usual loading slider. However, you can still access the Start button, and the cursor will return to normal, until you scroll over the office. I also noticed the CPU usage is significantly higher after a crash and spike to 100% every few minutes, causing a brief freeze.

  Things returned to normal after a reset or a stop. I had the computer since Tuesday and it broke down since the first time I ran RF:G on Tuesday night.

  I hope someone has an idea about that?

  Seems that the only solution is sent back for replacement. -J' called technical support, and after being tossed around for a while, I have to dismiss a case for replacement. I hope that they make sure that the new is operational because it is really a nice portable - just a bad graphics card installation/instilation, high rate of defective or something.

  The customer service was great, but a little hard to understand sometimes - accents.

• My keyboard backlight stopped working

  Recently, I sent my laptop Lenovo repair depot, to get a very small fixed thing. One of my Alt keys broke physically, so I wanted to get this fixed key. When I came back, I noticed that my keyboard backlight no longer works. I know that the backlight is activated by pressing FN + SPACE, but the shortcut does not work, at least not most.   ERMM... They replaced your KBO with a non-backlit version instead? The KBO LED should get their power from the same source as the KBO so I think they were replaced by a version not backlit.

  There is thus no backlit versions. Check with the repair depot.

  upgrade a Y560 to Full HD screen would be an exciting venture for an experienced technician.

  Some of the wires in the cable harness of the LCD for HD 1366 x 768 screen are used for the webcam.

  but since 1920 x 1080 full HD would need all the cables to be connected to the screen.

  You must make a separate cable for the webcam yourself.

  You should also check that the full HD signal was present at the MB LCD power connector.

  Does anyone know of a built-in feature of the Lenovo Ideapad Y580, that will automatically change the brightness of the screen based on the ambient room lighting? Some other reference messages will the Lenovo Energy Management program, however on my machine called power management Options and affects only the battery. I want it to cloud when I'm in a dark room and brighten when I'm not. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
