IdeaPad Yoga 13 + 0A 33970 ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock Station + Windows 10 = no video output?

All connected to the dock station seems to work fine except for the video output, which does not appear.

Used to work fine under Win 8.1 but decided to move to Win10 yesterday... ugh.

I tried to update on the latest software/drivers from DisplayLink and the tray icon says 'No DisplayLink devices detected'.

Someone at - it advice?

Finally he got to work!
You had to use the heavy duty removal tool displaylink, unplug the displaylink to prevent resettlement (the instructions don't tell you this!), and then install the latest driver of Lenovo, then reconnect and let it complete the installation. Phew!

    Hello

I'm racking me my brains on this one!

I work in a school where we have recently acquired 60 Thinkpad odd twists. In the classroom, we have Thinkpad USB 3.0 docks connected to SmartBoards. The question we have is very strange - when connect us the docking station to the laptop via USB, then open Internet Explorer (10), we are faced with a blank white page - with for example to google.com homepage. The Google search box and the icon are lower in the page. As soon as you remove the cable USB Internet Explorer works as it should for example no problem.

Google Chrome doesn't have this problem, nor Firefox.

We are running 64-bit Windows 8.

    Have you tried the following:

-update of the USB dock software from Lenovo site.

    -the displaylink.com displaylink driver installation.

    -IE running without Add-ons - i.e. iexplore - extoff.

-Have you seen a forum where someone suggests to disable HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections and disabling/enabling improved Protected Mode in Internet Explorer's advanced settings.

    -reset of Internet Explorer.

    All to nothing does not.

Help would be very appreciated. Not a critical problem, but a very irritating to our users!

Problem solved! It was the Smartboard drivers - just download the latest on their Web site. Everything seems in good working order now!

  • Dell SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Docking Station model: D3000 lose 2nd monitor connection

My Dell SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Docking Station model: D3000 is connected to my Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 SE as well as two external disk drives, an external DVD drive, printer and speakers as well as an external monitor.  Recently, I took my laptop on a trip, and when I got home, when I reconnected it it to the docking station it is no longer recognized my external monitor.

I went through several stages of diagnostics not limited to unistalling then reinstalling the DisplayLink software and accidentally fell on the only action that seems to work - power omitting the Docking station (pulling on the power cord).  Unfortunately, this is a pretty serious action to be taken and the patch does not seem to stick, as I had my second monitor drop out after restarting my computer.

The biggest problem is that I spent over a week trying to figure out where to get assistance for the Docking Station and the DisplayLink software.  It seems that my only alternative is to call and talk to Dell Technical Support, but is very annoying because my work hours are with Dell Technical Support, but it comes to my personal computer.

PS another problem I have with the Station of host USB 3.0 SuperSpeed from Dell which is the rubber feet on my Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 are outside the width of the laptop docking Station can be positioned on top of the Docking Station because it slides right out.

I thought I should update the Dell Community in the hope that a few users will read this BEFORE buying a Dell Super Speed USB 3.0 Docking Station.  I would update my opinion on the Dell site, but this is not supported by Dell, after entering a review you can not update.

Since my original post here, I've known some even more frustrating failures.

    1. Failed to connect Ethernet- My Ethernet connection failed, resulting in the loss of connection with my router and although obviously internet.  I made the important diagnosis and it is finally down to pulling on the power cord of the Station of Dell Super Speed USB 3.0 host.
    2. New router connection not recognized- I bought a router of Netgear R6300 WiFi as I bought the Dell Super Speed USB 3.0 Docking Station, unfortunately I can't the device works with the Docking Station in the loop.  It is with the Dell USB 3.0 Docking Station.
    3. -Speaker problems I had problems with my speakers mounted externally which I thought maybe Windows 8 questions but finally came down to problems with the Dell Super Speed USB 3.0 Station home, fixable in some cases of powerfailing the docking station.
    4. Lack of support- Want to know if this could be caused by the software support, I discovered that the consumer is caught in the middle.  The software providing the support bi-ecrans

In summary - I found the Dell Super Speed USB 3.0 Docking Station to be a totally reliable device with the announced characteristics does not always, including: dual screen, ethernet, sleep mode and support of speaker connection.  In addition the Docking Station does not efficiently, requiring two connections and not providing the simplicity with docking stations specific previous Dell machine.

  • Super Speed USB 3.0 Docking Station - no power supply laptop?

Laptop is on and plugged in the docking station which is "powered".  Connection to the monitor / keyboard and mouse is fine, however I am surprised to see a less power - plug is soon message.  Docking station is not supposed to power the laptop?

In fact, I think that what makes a docking station for a docking station, because it is a device that actually connects to a docking port. Thus the name docking station. A usb port isn't a docking port. A docking port is a single port that provides many pine so different protocols such as video, audio, usb, and Yes power etc. all have their own connections so that they can operate at their full potential. A docking port is not a conversion of many protocols for a usb signal, then try to cram two ways between the pins a lot less. And saw that all the "docking ports" as far as I know, have connectors to supply them, I do not see how Dell calling a port replicator a "floor" could confuse someone. I don't think whether a good faith error or another, simply tactical knaves in the marketing department to take advantage of what people believe to be a docking port so that they can make a nickel. Think that a wharf shipping, with access full power, fuel, water, sewer connections, the whole shebang. But rather a boat anchor so that you can anchor your boat to the coast, so take your time waiting on what ever ashore ship transport boats you can find the basket with a limited amount of resources via a limited method.

  • E6420 not recognizing USBs when at docking station

New Dell 6420 running Windows 7 32-bit - when you are connected to the docking station, it does not recognize the USB ports. Ive connected my USB mouse in every usb port and nothing to receive. I connect it to the port on the laptop itself, moored and its recognized. My first thought was bad docking station, tried another (both are new) with the same result. I actually ended up trying all 4 together during my whole process. Ive done the full restart, plug back on and off the docking station with the same result. I tested the usb ports moored in the bios - the mouse is recognized in all ports. That's when the laptop is docked, in the bios settings. So I thought Windows problem, maybe a bad installation... I started Windows and now all but 2 usb ports on the docking station (or port replicator, I should say) detect the usb mouse and other usb devices. I also checked the device (while only docked and undocked) Manager the only thing Bell is an unknown device under usb devices (this unknown device stays anchored and detached).  Any suggestions on what can happen and what I should fix this... im trying to stay away from doing a full reinstall.

    Thank you.

WARNING: THIS MAY NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM (but there is an equal chance that it will be then I would try it if I were you)

    Hello

I just started a new job and had the same problem. I fixed it as follows:

    Go to the computer

    Go to system properties

    Go to the Device Manager

You should see "Network adapters" section full of "Unknown devices" for me there were two of them and two other devices with unrecognized names.

Right click on each one from the first on and select "update driver software...". »

    Select "search automatically.

After I updated all of these drivers and plugged the nano-receiver for my keyboard and wireless mouse in the dock of the computer finally recognized and let me use the keyboard and mouse, I use what I'm typing this message :)

I hate to see these tickets up on sites for years without anyone answering them that it's really frustrating, and not a good sign for a manufacturer/vendor like Dell. Hope everyone who comes on this forum with this problem is it resolved.

    Best,

    Mike

  • USB 3.0 docking station pro with two monitors

I have an E550 connected to a dock, Pro USB 3.0. To get two monitors working, I got a VGA plugged into the laptop to a monitor and a SVGA from the platform to the other. I want then to the main display on the second.

But I can drive both monitors of the dock? It is not clear in the manual if this can be done. I suppose that if I hang a HDMI VGA adapter to the dock, I can then drive the first monitor from the dock too?

I can confirm that it works.

A DP/DVI for dock first monitor and a DVI/DVI for the dock to the second monitor gives an extended through the two display.

  • How to connect Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 5.1 speakers?

    Hello

I want to buy Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 (with processor i7, 8 GB RAM and SSD 256). But the main problem is that I don't know how to connect to System 5.1 surround.

Currently, I have Dell Studio 1555 with 3 audio ports, so it's very simple, but this little laptop is not 3 ports. Is there another solution?

    Thank you

    Hello

I bought a SoundBox USB breakout on amazon widget. won't cost that a tenner delivered, entry and telephone support microphone, output headphones plus 5.1 output and optical output.

You can spend a little more to get a compatible system 7.1, but I got it only for entries to be honest (recording/mixing of music).

No, it isn't the only way. The 900 Yoga supports poster wireless connections as well to. It should also support a USB HDMI adapter.

I have a Lenovo USB 3.0 adapter DVI, and that works very well with the 900 yoga.
