  Hello, this is my first post in this forum after hidden for a few months.

  After searching the forums, I am unable to identify an icon that appears at the top right of my screen.  It seems to appear mostly when I go into my Contacts (although I'm sure I saw it elsewhere, too).

  Two upside down triangles, right one slightly lower than the left, over a box or tray.  Can anyone put my mind at ease?  I looked in the manual supplied with the phone, and in these forums and can't find the answer.

  Either way, I love this phone!  I fell for the first time the other day (the last time!) and moved very quickly to retrieve it, looks like I dropped a baby!

  * SOLVED -it seems to be the icon that is displayed when the Multitap is the active keyboard portrait.

  The upper right corner of your phone must have the network and the meter.  I think what you're talking about is when the phone is really looking for a signal stronger and I think he has those triangles with arrows pointing if I remember correctly.  Generally, your phone will be on 1XEV but occasionally as he's on 1 X and when he switches back, it's probably what you see.

• Lost the screen of welcome with identifiers and icons.

  After fiddling around with various locations in the control panel and my computer, somewhere, I changed the way I connect to the computer. Instead of the usual welcome screen all that I get is a small window of MS asking me to enter the user name and password. Makes me on my account but I can't seem to find my way to where I changed it in the first place. Really want the screen of welcome and icons back. Operating system is Windows XP Professional SP 3. Advice will be highly appreciated.

  Please continue with the following steps to support...

  I'm sure that you run on color 32 bits, so change to 16 bit and apply (the black boxes should be gone). Restart your computer and then change back to 32-bit. You must restart, otherwise if change you it to 32 bits, the boxes will come back.

• Icon Identify blackBerry 10 to 10.3

  Last time I m unable to identify which icon is this, I went through all the setting etc. but do not have can someone tell me?

  This icon indicates that the media was being played at some point.

  For example, if you use the music or play a video in the browser, this icon appears.

  On your screenshot, it seems that you have not all open apps so this icon should disappear. If it still appears but please restart your device and the icon should disappear. Thank you!

• BlackBerry Smartphones icon won't go away

  A small white icon that looks like a cassette is display on my home screen. It has no figures with it. I think this is a voicemail icon, but my mailbox is empty: I checked it several times.

  Can someone identify the icon and then tell me how to get rid of it. I already have my battery several times different (but not for 30 minutes as a post suggested a missed call icon that won't go away).

  Here you are at choice,... follow these steps in order until it is resolved.

  1. Call your voicemail and clear the message.
  2. You can call your BB from another and leave a message. You BB, call your voicemail and clear and delete your messages.
  3. Hard Reset BlackBerry by holding ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or removing and reinserting the battery)
  4. Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
  5. Clean and reload your OS.

• CAN'T CONNECT THE LAPTOP TO SCREEN PLASMA (2011 MODEL)

  IAM using win - xp on laptop hp and panasonic plasma tv, iam trying to connect these two via vga cable, but after plugging also iam get no matter what display on TV screen, I made an adjustment on the properties of the display (according to my knowledge) but still the same. IAM trying to click on "identify" # 2 icon on the display properties, but the screen comes up as # 1 only.  I made all the mistakes to and trial, even on the options "advance" with Intel(r) graphics media accelerator driver for mobile, but it is always the same.  Please help me solve the problem since the basic settings.

• Disable the user change your picture account

  I have several users cast in place on my login screen. I have set permissions through gpedit.msc so that they use a fixed theme and cannot change any part of this theme. Indeed the customization is "gray" for a user.

  I put a different picture for each user name to help to have identify which icon to click to connect.

  I would like to deactivate a possibility to users to modify or to change the image that I put.

  I don't want to use a default Windows image to the standard address, and I don't want all users to have the same image.

  So, as in the image on the screen, I want all the images the user to stay as they are now.

  With gratitude any help appreciated.

  

  I'm not sure how much power you want your users to have, but maybe you can just set the policy to stop them from using the Panel at all.  Then they will not be able to edit the image (or something else).

• Fusion 3 interfering with hotspot of spaces

  Fusion 3 running on Snow Leopard 10.6.2 with guest XP.

  I had 2 fusion set up to run full screen in space 2 on my MacBook Pro late 2008. Disable specific to Mac in Windows session keys so therefore, as well as 'real' Windows as possible, within Windows, the way to return to the space (s) Mac was to move the slider on the upper right corner (the hotspot of spaces), which displays the four spaces and allowed to choose.

  I upgraded to Fusion 3 today and immediately got stuck in the space of windows full screen with no way to go back on side Mac and eventually had to get out of the full-screen to return. No matter what I did, how long I tried to move the cursor to the top in this corner, it wouldn't work.

  I then started to play with the Fusion full screen title bar (STBF from here), I did not like that displayed all the time *, so I put on auto. After playing with it a bit, I tried the hotspot of spaces, and this time it worked. "Huh," I said, "must have been something unique." Except that the next time I have came to the space of Windows and I tried out, I couldn't. Had to go out full screen again to return.

  I played a bit more and found the hot spot areas would work if and only if the STBF were made to UN-hide the cursor moved to the right in one swift motion (very!). In other words, the STBF has be mode automatic (the hotspot does not at all when it is 'Always' or 'Never'), you must move the cursor up to the Center and more to the right in a really fast movement, smooth, so that you arrive at the hot spot before the STBF hides again.

  Needless to say, it of REALLY annoying and allows to work in mode full-screen a painful experience. Let me know if you need additional information.

  For the record, I prefer far title bar fullscreen Fusion 2 times the appearance and behavior. It looked fancy; a new seems sticky.

  Whenever you have trouble to switch to OS X, the release keyboard control + command combo will publish the entry grab (keyboard and mouse), you should see black OS X mouse cursor at that point you can mouse over the hotspots, etc.  I can't comment on any change in behavior, as the setup of each is usually different.

  I run all my machines virtual in full screen mode (what I call immersion) and to move to another space, etc, I show the VMware toolbar (also in auto mode), then I alt - tab to get to the inventor or activate spaces with fn + F8.

  BTW, VMware employees who post here do so voluntarily, i.e. it is not their "day job".  You can identify an icon "vm" on their screen name.  If you want the formal support, you must send a request to VMware Support as provided by the product.  From my experience, the forums are faster, but they are voluntary and son fall between the cracks.

  After I uninstalled Firefox, all the icons back to normal PDF icons and files have been identified as a "PDF" files
  but when I installed Firefox (31.0) still once, all PDFs are still identified as "Firefox HTML document.
  Extensions do not change, they always are .pdf and files open automatically in Adobe Acrobat format.
  but the icons have become icons "firefox HTML documents" and it's very confusing.
