  Are you able to get into BIOS to make changes?

  If so, you can try to reset the default settings of the BIOS and check.

  NOTE: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  You can also try to remove all external usb devices that can be connected to the system and start-up and see if the system boots.

  A range of cells is formatted as numbers, but when I enter a number, it displays as text (cells at random) and I can't reformat then into numbers using cells > number.  This causes formulas using invalid text cells.  I transferred this worksheet to another user, I created and it works fine.   I have over 100 tables, each with about 40 individual cells that need to be revised. In each cell, there are 2 numbers stacked. The top number is "BOLD", the light at the bottom.   AFAIK, you can't link to a local file, except via the script, which is awkward.  You can put a file in Dropbox and copy / paste the public link to this file in connection of numbers. By default, clicking the cell number will download the file from Dropbox, which may or may not be what you want.

  Hold down the option key and press ENTER to insert a new line in a cell.

  You can select the text and add bullets and lists in Panel Format > text

  I use the numbers frequently and a worksheet I'm using suddenly systematically will display a date (April 30, 2017) instead of a sum value that was always there. I tried to change the cell back to currency format, all clear and reset deleting the formal line and inserting a new formula in another cell, and the problem persists. Have left and restarted numbers and the entire computer. Don't know how it happened, or how I can fix this problem.

  In one of the recent figures for updates to iOS, I lost a feature that I have relied heavily on: menu of the cell. Before the update, when I typed in a cell in a spreadsheet, a menu of choice would jump upward. The main thing I've used has been remove, but there are other choices as well (I don't remember what they were).

  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

  Now, in order to remove a value in a cell, I double tap, go back and accept (3 operations). Because my cell values are often the results of formulas, I usually have to go back twice.

  If there is a better way to remove a cell value, please enlighten me!

  The menu still opens for me. It usually takes 2 taps discreet-no is not a double tap. The first selects the cell, the second brings up the menu.
