About three weeks ago, I bought a new MacBook Pro, disabled Adobe CS 6 on my old MacBook and re-intalled on my new computer portable DVD with success. I used all my Adobe fine until today. Two days ago, I've updated all my creative suite after having received an automatic notification. Photoshop will not launch now (everything else is OK). When the Photoshop window it immediately crashes with the message "adding extensions...." Quick basic routines' but nothing happens and I have to "force stop" window. Advice please?

I plan to buy a new macbook and can't know if I should get 13 inches 2.66 GHz dual core with an upgrade to 8 GB of ram, or rather to get Core i5 15 inch 2.4 GHz and 4 GB of ram. I move from a PC. Only use VMWare Fusion mainly for MSoffice (MS Word/Excel) and Outlook. Messages I've read seem to collide on the RAM, many say its more important for VMWare, others say max 1 GB allocated and that too allocated at startup of Windows actually degrades performance. Hi Jossol. Personally, I would say that still more RAM the better when it comes to a desktop based vm environment. I run a Core2Duo 2 GHz with only 2 GB of RAM on a test machine and the CPU is barely affected. It's the same in our environment ESX, RAM is being consumed at a rate much higher than CPU, especially if just using a virtual machine with office etc.
However, to be honest, it sounds as if the two options will do what you want with very little trouble. As a processor is generally much more expensive upgrade RAM (generally less expensive and more convenient to buy a new laptop) it might be the best option to go with the i5 Core option now and then upgrade of RAM when the next version of Windows arrives and is linked to more memory to run the application.

Hi, I used Migration Assistant to copy the data from my old machine to a new MacBookPro. At the launch of CC for the first time there was a lot of error messages, so I uninstalled all my Apps CC and began to resettle. PP and AE work perfectly but the SOUL doesn't "start queue" and hangs on exit. I tried different codecs. I tried to uninstall and reinstall SOUL. Short of a clean reinstall of OSX and to leave without using the Migration Wizard, anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
If you can take a look under My Documents > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder > 8.0 > Presets? If you happen to see a link to alias for Presets, remove it and revive the SOUL.

Windows Media Player is part of Windows 8, but the codecs required to play the DVD are not delivered with most versions of Windows 8. You have the Media Center Edition of Windows 8 in order to get native DVD playback in Windows.
VLC is a 3 rd party application which provides for DVD playback. There are also other applications that your ships from seller of PC with window 8 for DVD playback, to check that as well.

New MacBook Pro - photos cannot 'fix' library of Time Machine
Hello. I recently got a new Macbook Pro. I have "" everything from my old macbook pro using my TimeMachine upward. Everything seems to go well except... When I opened the Photos I get a message that the library should be "repaired". When the repair process is 95%, I get another message indicating that the library is not repairable. I always have backups Time Machine and tried to restore the photo library, but it does the same thing. I don't have access to the old computer.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I have pictures in iCloud, but download here sounds a lot of time.

So, you might start with an empty photo library and let the pictures to download from iCloud. If you restore the library of Photos of Time Machine, Photos will be anyway download the complete library restored to iCloud and sync and compare. It will take the same time to synchronize again restored library. The difference is, that the restored library will have all your projects - books, calendars, cards and all thumbnails of faces. If you download the library from iCloud, projects will be missing and thumbnails of faces. You will only have keywords searchable faces.
I always have backups Time Machine and tried to restore the photo library, but it does the same thing.
Where did you have restored the library? For an external drive or the pictures folder?
