If I switch to windows 8. It will be supported in windows 7.

If I switch to windows 8. It will be supported in windows 7. or do I have to do a new clean OS reinstalled on my computer?

You have the option to reinstall Windows 7, or you can use the easiest method:

How to reinstall Windows 8

You have two options:

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

· Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

· Click settings

· Click change PC settings

· Click general in the left column

· In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

Option 2:

If you create an installation DVD or a USB bootable, you can use them to reinstall Windows. First, you will need to reinstall license qualification, then begin the upgrade to Windows 8. License of qualification means that you will need to reinstall Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

Option 3:

A workaround for this situation is to create a system image of Windows 8, just after you have upgraded. So if your drive plant, you can simply restore the image on a new hard drive or restore the image on the same drive, if you want to reinstall Windos 8.

See the following for instructions on how to create an image of the installation process of Windows 8:

I expect to for Windows 10 for the kernel is not very different when I upgraded I lost my homegroup when I upgraded the machine that created the homegroup key has been lost and the machine was not part of the home group.  My display device drivers needed to be updated after the upgrade for my poster work properly. A pilot to ditch virtual use to connect my Surface Pro 3 as a third screen was not functional. Remove and reinstall it solved this problem.  Everything else seems to work well.   If you do not bind the user accounts on your machine to Microsoft accounts these user will be second class but spy with less.  Things like Cortana, people, installing applications, and others require you and Microsoft accounts allowing Microsoft to collect information...

If you look at the web there is little negative feedback of those is upgraded and something like 14 million have updated.   Only the stars of the press sensation are their stories, that you should take them for what they are worth.  Its their job to make new worthy or not.

  • Can I switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 by installing Windows 7 without uninstalling XP?

Original title: improvement of the operating system.

Can I switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 by installing Windows 7 without uninstalling XP?

Yes, and in fact you must do in order to qualify for the upgrade price.  You must realize, however, this update of XP to 7 involves a "custom installation" - that is, you must save your data first (on external support) and to reinstall all your applications after that Win 7 is running.

Under certain circumstances, installing Windows 7 might create a windows.old file, but it's not clear to me what is stored in memory in the transition from XP to 7. you will certainly be able to run one of your older applications without having to reinstall them.  See, for example, http://www.chron.com/business/silverman/article/Going-from-Windows-XP-to-Windows-7-It-s-not-1609463.php

  • Lack the "Switch between Windows" button in my Quick Launch toolbar

    From: Daz 150969

I don't have the button tab in the taskbar in order to operate the Aero of the computer part. My card under windows is 5.9. I can run aero if one press tab, ctrl and windows key and it work very well, but I think that there should be a button on the tab in the taskbar?

    From: Andrew McLaren

The "Switch between Windows" button in the toolbar quick launch is enabled by a file called "Window Switcher.lnk" in your Quick Launch folder. If this file is missing, the icon does not appear in the Quick Launch toolbar.

You are probably missing this file and need to replace it.

You can get a copy of the original file here:

    "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Window Switcher.lnk"

This place is normally hidden in Explorer (you won't see it).

To put it on your own toolbar quick launch, go to a command prompt and enter these commands (replace "" with your real username, of course!  :-) -

    C:\>CD C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

    C:\Users\launch \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick > copy "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Window Switcher.lnk.

You should see a "1 file (s) copied" message when the file is copied successfully. Then type "exit" to exit the command prompt.

The "Switch between Windows" icon now needs re - appear in your quick launch menu.

    It will be useful,

  • lost the "switch between windows" button on the Quick Launch toolbar

Hi, I lost the "switch between windows" button of the toolbar quick launch, how can I restore it?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Dasepo salvation,

Here are the instructions for the program shortcut "switch between windows" returned the fell on the Quick Launch toolbar:

First of all, make sure you that you must show hidden files and folders active. Here's how:

Go to: Start/Control Panel folder Options/configuration and select the 'view' tab select "Show hidden folders and files under the section files and folders hidden from advanced settings".

Then you can get the file from quicklaunch default section. This location of file is here:

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

You can paste this link into the search bar (Ctrl-Esc). When you get to this place, you will find the 'switch between client.lnk' which you can then drag directly to the Windows Orb and it going bust in the Quick Launch bar.

    Hope this helps,

  • Switch from Windows Vista to Windows 7

    Dear all,

I had Windows Vista installed on my laptop, but unfortunately lost the c: / and the license code for this.

Question: can I uninstall what remains of Windows Vista on my laptop and install Windows 7 on it. I still have a license of the latter and I expect long term to be able to switch to Windows 10, free of charge.

Please can you let me know what you think about this?

    Kind regards

    Friederike

First of all, note that there is no way to uninstall any version of Windows. They only way to get rid of Vista is to format the drive, for example by installing another operating system itself. A clean install means that you will lose the entire computer, including all your personal data, so until this don't forget to make a backup of all your important files n external media.

Secondly, you say that you have a license for Windows 7, but how did you? If you bought a copy retail, fine. But if it's an OEM copy (for example, if it came with another computer) you can not do this.

Finally, note that the period for a free upgrade for Windows 10 expired on July 29.

  • If I switch to windows 7, I'll beable to run a program 16-bit legacy that was designed for windows XP?

If I switch to windows 7, I'll beable to run a program 16-bit legacy that was designed for windows XP?

There are a number of variables here.  First of all if you go to the 64 bit version of Windows 7, you will not be able to run 16-bit programs in normal mode.  However, if you go to the professional version of Windows 7, you can install the free XP Mode and run 16-bit programs under that.  XP mode runs as a task under Windows 7.  It works fine as long as you can live with the limited graphics.  I have 900 x 600 16-bit color at home.

If you go with the 32-bit version of Windows, you might be able to run your 16-bit program in compatibility mode.  It depends of course is the compatibility with Windows 7.  Some work and some aren't.  The limitation with the 32-bit version is that it supports more than 4 GB of RAM.

    Good luck.

  • Switch to Windows Live and Xbox Live Messaging

So, I tried to move from the mails from my Windows Live account before in order to get my Xbox Live account to send emails to the new email address I did check. I created a new account and tried to transfer all about that one as the original sense told to do. However, this does not work on my Xbox. He called Windows Live invalid account for transfer or something like that, so I closed the second Windows Live account. Then, I tried to just press the "Edit" button on the e-mail on my account running on Windows Live to change the e-mail address of the account. However, whenever I try to change it now, for more than a day, I get the same message. 'It is a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. "If you continue to receive this message, try again later." Well, I tried again later, and nothing has been fixed. I removed two other e-mail addresses of the account and put the new one in as an alternative, but it will not allow make me the primary, and I get the same message when I try to create a new account with the same email again address after the closure of the original with the new address account.

Answer yourself, but there is no support for Windows Live Hotmail or Windows Live ID in these forums for answers.

Your Xbox LIVE account is linked to a Live code (Windows). This Live ID, in turn, is permanently associated with an account Hotmail (Windows Live). So if you want your Xbox account to associate with another Hotmail account, the account Xbox THAT MUST be associated with the same Live ID than the other Hotmail account.

You will find support for Live ID in this subforum of Hotmail : http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?forumid=d3fda415-1e53-4007-8e0c-2a77180ffb1d

And so it's not confused enough, you'll find support for Windows Live profiles in these forums: http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?productid=13

It is assumed that you already know where the Xbox forums are, including the management of My Xbox LIVE account forum).

    WYSIWYG. Good luck!
