• Problems with the current time of the progress bar reading

  First of all, a terminology.

  As Adobe Flash Player is about to play a video, it shows a spinning icon in the center of the video window.  I've seen web pages which call it the beach of rotation ball.  I'll call it simply as the icon of "spinning".

  Adobe Flash Player is playing a video, when we move the cursor over the video window (or moves the cursor when playing the video in full screen), we see a progress at the bottom of the window bar.  To the left of the status bar is a pause button.

  The progress bar has a pointer representing the playing time in the video.  The progress bar also has a display of the playing time and duration of the video (for example, 40:37 / 01:12:35, which means that read is 40 minutes and 37 seconds in a video that lasts 72 minutes and 35 seconds).

  On my Windows XP system, when Flash Player V10.0.32.18 is playing a streaming video, the video pauses when the bandwidth is temporarily insufficient to provide the video bit stream.  Rotation icon appears in the center of the video window.  Currently reading on the progress bar stops too, as it should.  But when the video continues, the playback time does not begin incrementing again.  He remains at a standstill at the time of the break, which is irritating, because it is no longer possible to say how long he remains in the video.

  It took me a long time to discover that once the current play time has stalled, pressing the pause button will cause the current play time refresh to the correct playing time and begin to increase again.  Yaaayyyyyy!

  And how about being able to key in an hour and press on enter, what causes the pointer move on time? Any way to do it?

  For what is the menu bar. are you aware that when the menu bar is hidden it may be raised with the Alt key and press F10 . And keyboard (underlined letters) commands will work.

However if you move the mouse a little, it allows you to read the list of the menu. It is rather difficult to describe. It is easier to see a screen shot of it in action.   Hello Pochepoke, this is perhaps a problem with hardware acceleration - please try to update your video driveror where this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.

  When I copy a url in the address bar in the clipborad and paste it elsewhere, it is truncated. This is particularly annoying when trying to someone send a link to a non-English wikipedia article (or other sites with the "descriptive" URLS.) is there a way to disable this option?

  To avoid that you can place a character like a '-' to the far left of the address bar and select the URL without leading the hyphen.

• Cliq 2.1: New Power Widget - Wifi icons aren't in the Notification bar when on.

  I noticed that when using the power widget bar or the individual widgets under Widget motorola than when I turn the Wifi icon does not appear in the Notification bar like it normally does. I thought before you even if you don't have a wifi connection icon seems to indicate it was or was not connected.

  PS Bluetooth works as I expected. I turn it on not matched and the icon shows it is but not matched. When I have the dome lights.

  The WiFi icon will be visible only if you are connected to a WiFi network.

  The GPS icon will only be visible if you are using an application that uses GPS.

• Can I use the Captivate6 (subscription) new Widget bars and always give control to my learners?

  Hi, I want to create screens that do not have a fixed, I like my students to explore several interactions 'click to reveal' (for example 4 photos (buttons) appear) and user can click on each image to reveal some texts and pictures, then choose when to move to the next screen. I don't want ' show click, show, click, show click on ' IE linear interaction, instead I want to leave my learner decide what order to explore and spend. I know how to set up the click interactions - but how to stop the timeline to move to the next screen?  I want the points to stay on the screen and not to disappear and to avoid that the screen automatically advances to the next.  Currently I set the duration of the slide to be huge for learners to give sufficient time to explore, but is probably not a better method of practice?  Ideally, I would like to take advantage of the new Widget bars for navigation, rather than building buttons for each screen.  Is this feasible?   Maybe it's not the best answer... it works but that's what I'm doing now.

  I put a button in the upper corner of the page and make it white so its invisible to the user. I put the break on this button to appear after all the items on my slide appeared then it will hold the slide at this point here. I put the action of this button on the success of "no action"just in case where the user did click on it... even if it is tiny and invisible, I suppose that it is still possible for the user to click on it

  I had corruption of the registry "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders", where many of the keys have values set for the directories of the user of my administration. I did not write exactly which keys have been corrupted and causing the accident, but once I have finished all the fixing Adobe Reader worked perfectly and I was able to open the preferences.

  This solution works fine until I click on the icon to maximize the window . Now the play bar is stuck in the visible state because the mouse is more left the window. I read about the solutions that involve placing a buffer around the video and enabling skinAutoHide pixel, but it does not work if the user moves the mouse quickly out of the window.

  The same poster of the above posted code a second part, which was supposed to hide the skin after several seconds of inactivity of the mouse.

  I don't get any errors from the compiler, but my screen is empty (and I did remeember to change the name of vpl.skin in my name of skin and name my vplinstance).

  However, I get an error of output: Error #2044: skinError unhandled:. Text = Error #1009: cannot access a property or a method of a null object reference.

  If I can get this working, I think it would be the best solution.

  You should have a single listener what a listener function.  within this function, you must test to see whether or not you want to make visible skin:

  In the past, I was able to change the reading player successfully bar control in Captivate 2 and 3, but the new player controls are structured differently.

  Hi, TPK,

  The code you entered is Actionscript 2.0 so will not work in an AS3 file.  In AS3, the properties are different and there is usually no underlining thus ._parent is .parent and ._x is .x etc..

  You must also create an event listener - you can't just write onclipevent (myevent) how you could in AS2.

  I would like to suggest that perhaps you should stick with AS2 (you do not have to use AS3 in Captivate 4 or Flash CS3).  Here is a post that might help you: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/435869?tstart=0

  Otherwise, you will need to consider some Actionscript 3.0 tutorials to understand how to write and trigger functions.  But moving from AS2 to AS3 is something that I would allow a few weeks (or months if you're like me).  If there is no other reason for rewriting of the PlayBar in AS3 just keep your preferences of project such as AS2.

• I downloaded the latest version. 14 may 2014 and have two lines repeating symbols appearing above the URL bar and the search. How can I fix it?

  When I fly over the symbols, I am invited to "subscribe to this Page...". "This appeared only after the update. The symbols are the same that appear to the right of the search bar and all the symbols that appear now in the service Menu to open.

  Looks like an incompatible extension.
