Ignore reset TMS ticket service

Hello

I accidentally pressed "Ignore this type of ticket for all systems" in ticket in TMS and Service see more tickets of this kind. Is there a way to get back to this? I have not found anything at the ticket office of service nor to the user page.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Paul,.

Yes, you can come back. When you press this option, TMS adds a filter of tickets, then simply remove this filter. You can find this system TMS configuration in system > Ticket Service. Select the end point and go to the tab "Ticket filter". Remove the filter.

    Hello

How to check the MSDS 13.2 running MSD Agent (legacy mode) or TMS provisioning or extension of TMS provisioning services.

    Kind regards

    Siva

My TMS is strictly using Extension of Provisioning, because I am running 14.3.2 TMSPE is the only option for me, so I can't provide a screenshot.

However check you by going to: administrative tools > Configuration > General settings, look for the commissioning Mode.

That said, I suggest that you consider migrating to TMSPE if you have not already, that the recent version of TMS have removed TMS Agent legacy mode.  If you want to use the latest versions of TMS and take advantage of the features it provides, you will need to perform the migration, if not already done.

  • Reset the NTP Service on all hosts

    Hi all.

I've been in it for almost thirty years and people always tell me I should learn the "language X." they tell me it will save me time and aggrivation.  Of course, the most recent is Powershell, and since I am woriking in tVMWare, PowerCLI infrastructure any type of following along.  So when I sit, looking at what should be a relatively simple script, spinning my wheels waste ime more that it would take to just do it manually in the GUI!  So here I sit feeling my blood pressure elevation and wonder why I bother to try this shit!  Sorry for ranting a bit, but maybe someday someone will invent a language that really SIMPLIFIES them THINGS!

My task was simple.  Change the NTP server on our VMWare hosts entries.  So I found a script in one of the forumns, and although he was 'logic' (Yes!) to restart the service after the change is made, it did not do that, then this morning, I went looking for a code to do just that last piece.  I found a script on the blog of Simon Long which looked pretty simple, and I was able to follow the logic of the orders.  So I stuck in a script and edited to my environment.

    Here's the script.

    $Hosts= Get-VMHost

    ForEach($Hostin $Hosts)

    {

    Remove-VmHostNtpServer-NtpServer"<old ntp server>" -VMHost $Host| Out-Null

    Add-VmHostNtpServer-NtpServer"<new ntp server>" -VMHost$Host| Out-Null

    Get-VmHostService-VMHost$Host | Where-Object {$_.key -eq "ntpd"} | Restart-VMHostService-Confirm:$false| Out-Null

write"NTP Server was changed on $Host"

    }

Given that I had already changed the host at the new address, I deleted the first two lines of the loop.  I he started with a connect-viserver, saved command, ran and he bombed on the foreach loop, stating that $host was read-only and could not be changed.  I DIDN'T ASK TO CHANGE IT!  So, I'm about to PowerCLI and rename it UselessPOS yet another!  Can someone give me logical som REAL as to why he thinks that it should alter this variable?

Your script is all right, just change the name of the loop variable.

    Something like this for example

    $Hosts=Get-VMHost

    ForEach($esxin$Hosts)

    {

       Remove-VmHostNtpServer-NtpServer""-VMHost$esx|Out-Null

       Add-VmHostNtpServer-NtpServer""-VMHost$esx|Out-Null

       Get-VmHostService-VMHost$esx|Where-Object{$_.key-eq"ntpd"} | Restart-VMHostService-Confirm:$false|Out-Null

write"NTP Server was changed on $esx"

    }

  • How to reset the OpenLDAP service that has been marked for deletion

    Hello
I installed Shared Services, Essbase and planning in my PC. After installing it, I went to the services screen. I found that the OpenLDAP service was with the status 'Started' and 'Disabled'. When I try to change the status of the "Disabled" to "Automatic" or "Manual" function, I get an error "the specified service has been marked for deletion". If I tried to stop the service, the service disappears from the list of services. I am constantly confronted this question even if I tried to reinstall all the modules. Can someone tell me how I can solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

I guess after it has been marked for deletion and you restart then the service is removed?

I don't know what version you are but to 9.3.1 again, create OpenLdap service

Open a cmd prompt to the directory

    *\Hyperion\SharedServices\9.3.1\openLDAP*

    and type: -.

    slapd.exe install OpenLDAP-slapd 'Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP'

  • Passing of TMS physical server in VM with external SQL Server

    What we have:

13.2 physical TMS with TMSPE running on the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise with SQL server 2005.

Application of TMS, tmsng, and TMSPE all located on the same server.

    What we wanted to do:

Move the 13.2 TMS with TMSPE to 2008 r2 VM with tmsng located on the separate server from SQL 2008 VM (external).

First attempt; the physcial and TMS VM servers with the same host name, the different IP addresses.

(Physical server removed from the field after copying tmsng db and taken offline - changed then to the TMS VM server host name).

13.2 of TMS and TMSPE installed smoothly on the virtual machine, we copied then the db tmsng existing since the physical server on the SQL 2008 VM server.

Everything seemed fine, except that we could not clearly one of the TMS tickets tell us different MST services were not running, this despite the Court and restaring every MSDS services several times.

TMPSE diagnosis showed all green, but the VCS - C told us a different story; with all of the connections; telephone directories and devices, users will fail with an http 400 error.

At this stage our window of opportunity was closing quickly, we had to go back and bring back the old physical server, on the line.

During testing, we used different for the physical host names and servers of MV, but we found TMS2 tickets thrown indicating different services of MST did not run on TMS1, so we thought we would try with identical host names for TMS1 and TMS2.

There are some dependencies that we missed?

Any advice on how to achieve better would be much appreciated.

    see you soon

    /Jens

    Hello

I have seen this problem several times before and his tickets basically generation because it has a double set of services listed in under TMS Server (below), the following list Maintenance TMSNG db when you move it, it shows that there are for example 1 TMS Live Racing Department and one stop of service TMS Live where the next generates this ticket. Simply click the clear list to solve the problem.

Regarding the TMSPE, have you moved the db TMSPE more on the new server or you let it run to the old?

At all the configurations to correct in terms of user name / etc in the field configuration settings?

    Best regards

    Hi Jens,

of course the vcs communication seems not promising, but I would say that the problem lies deeper

    in the TMSPE itself.

    Typical questions:

    * wrong version of java, please try the one that is mentioned in the version deployment guide that you install

    * Please make sure that you have run the installer as administrator

    * Check that the used users and groups have appropriate access

    * Make sure the db connections are ok

In addition, check the deployment guides is always recommended ;-)

Problems with Verizon router and during diagnosis discovered that the network connections window is empty (found by clicking on change settings for the network and sharing Center map).  We are currently connected to the Internet with the new router and Ethernet cable, but the cannot connect wireless (what we could do before) - apparently not to display icons in N.C. window is not necessary to have connections.  Found a reference to the network connections service and check it is running as a solution to the window being blank.  The service is not running, and when I try to launch it I get "Error 1083: the executable program that this service is configured to run in does not implement this service."

  • REDUNDANCY OF TMS

    Hello

One of our customers is to have a primary site and the recovery for the conferencing site. They are planning to implement redundant VC a componnents like VCS, conductor, MCU and TMS.

I need your expert opinion in the deployment of the TMS in the main Site and recovery Site scenario.

Primary site and recovery Site is in a totally different network. We cannot extend the primary IP address on the site of DR. Because of this redundant components will have the IP address to a different subnet.

    TMS Server A: 10.10.10.10

TMS Server B DR Site: 10.20.20.20

DNS A record for TMS server is tms.example.com--> 10.10.10.10

I checked the options for redundancy of TMS, as shown in the link.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TMS/config_guide/Cisco_TMS_Server_Redundancy_Config_Guide_13-0.PDF

Fully redundant use the concepts of the load balancer.

    I have the following questions.

1 could you please let me know what load balancer can be used for redundancy of TMS solution considering the IP address of the MSDS are in different subnets.

    2. in several servers, manual failover option, if the failure of the principal server will we use 10.20.20.20 address IP Cisco TMS Server Local IPv4 address and update the DNS record to point to 10.20.20.20.

    Krishna.

    Option a.

I would not recommend an A DNS record pointing at a time... since it is essentially a round robin... which means that if DC 1 is down, you will get a search on the second, it will just fail. Therefore, I would recommend you do is just enter a DNS record for the DC 1 TMS and if you get a failure on DC 1, then simply go to DNS and to update IP address for this record to the DC 2 TMS.

    Option B

No, you don't want to do this, i.e. Add the EPs for the two TMS initially. You only want to add systems to the DC 1 TMS... which means a TMS db to "govern together." And that's why your "asynchronous mirroring ' the TMS of DC db SQL to CC 1 2 SQL." And specify "async mirrroring in SQL", when you set the "async mirroring" in SQL, a db is 'active', while the other is "passive". That's why on the DC 2 TMS all services of TMS needs for people with reduced mobility because it cannot connect to the TMS SQL db (tmsng), which is passive. And with "async mirrored" on and how often you 'mirror', the basics of data will actually be the same.

At the end of the day, the deployment is not that big (20 systems) so all this may seem "exaggerated", but it is the approach to 2 x installation DC... unless of course you virtualize everything and go Nick road, i.e. the Group OTV and strecthed.

  • SNMP device through cisco TMS

    Hello

I have some devices (2 CTS 3010, CUCM, GST of VCS - C and 3 2 1) managed by a Cisco TMS. I want to monitorate all devices to a network/system like HP OpenView management tool.

Is it possible to leave the TMS works as a server snmp / trap receiver, and transmit received traps to network management tool? In other words, is there a way to configure trap forwarding in TMS?

The TMS, I configured the IP address of HP's OpenView under network configurations, but it doesn't seem to work.

On CUCM, I configured the Ip address of the TMS as trap receiceiver.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

TMS uses only SNMP interruptions for older systems (MXP, TANDBERG classic). Traps SNMP of newer systems (series C, CTS, MX, E20, SX20 etc.) and products (CUCM, VCS, MCU, gateways) network infrastructures are ignored by TMS. (it's not mentioned as well in the documentation, but I'll look in there clarifying). So no, you can't configure the transfer of trap in TMS.

But why do you need TMS to send traps to an external system; could not do of your endpoints send traps directly to the external network management tool?

    Kind regards

    Kjetil

  • TMS Provisioning, does not automatically synchronize the AD user

    SET IDENTITY_INSERT [dbo]. [SchedulerEvent] OFF

This should trigger it to start automatically.

And no, you cannot set the time in the new model of commissioning.

  • Moving 14.3 of TMS in the database SQL external - someone did he do?

After copying the SQL database on our existing MSDS database is there anything else I would do other than using the TMS to point to the new database of tools or is it?

I'm looking for someone who has done this kind of right move forward.

    Thank you!

We did pretty well what you're asking, though slightly differently, as we moved from one external SQL Server to another... but the process is the same.

    (1) stop the TMS/IIS services

    (2) copy your database to the new server

    (3) use the tools of TMS where from the TMS is looking.

    (4) return to the MSD/IIS.
