Illegal Windows 7 suddenly

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (upgrade to Vista a few years ago). I am running a Raid 3 system and the disk has failed, has been replaced and everything seems to work as usual.

Recently, the pop-up Windows said my windows are not legal and (of course) Windows Update does not work. I do not see the option 'Enable' in the control panel to enter the KEY and Windows Update solutions do not help.

Someone please help! I lost hours and hours on this (including the use of forums, FAQ, etc.)

"The word here to be in the know, is," upgrade ".

Yes, I just picked this little word myself, try to re - install Windows 7 in my computer after just having bought 2 TERABYTE drives

I could not understand was WHY 'my' failing product key myself.

Even Microsoft help was no help at all, although they did MET the simple fact that my wasa product key still VALID.

The fault was my own, actually, because I had not done a re-install for over 3 years.

It's true, I forgot simply install the sequence!

Since you MENTIONED the word upgrade', that was my problem, too.

While I was trying to install the OS I was SELECTING the Custom installation option (a fake).

It should have been the upgrade option.

Why?

Because I had Windows 7 to install almost entirely, without even having to type in the PRODUCT KEY as the Microsoft Advisor had told me to do... I was faced with yet an other window erro sudenlt... it now SAYS "the PRODUCT KEY provided... was an UPGRADE option not CUSOM INSTALLER. (The way the instalation was giving me grief ove)!

How I made overc0me my "problem"?

Any LEVEL of UPGRADE... we have to have a place of VERSION im more OLD, initially, to UPGRADE on TOP of the!

Yes!

That's what I forgot to have the OLD OS (XP) to upgrade on top of... with Windows 7!

All I ever needed, it was the "bare essentials of XP, upgrade work, that these FILES have quickly been truned slim WINDOWS OLD folder!

And Windows 7 installed cheerfully... without a hitch.

Yes, even my product that had been raised as invalid key was... suddenly... indeed very valuable!

I just forgot that the sequence is all!

Now I have a computer... with2 very healthy terabyte hard drives fully operational!

Running out of space is something that I cannot do for a very long time to come, now.

Try to remove your e-mail account, and then compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then add your e-mail account back (no messages will be lost).  If this does not it, see if you can log on to your e-mail account through your email provider's website and see if it works.  If not, then contact your email provider and explain the problem.

    Windows Vista window Defender error

Window Defender suddenly turned off & now shows error0x800106ba. How to solve this problem and get it to turn back?

    Hello

read this information on the Defender:

    ·                         If you use microsoft security essentials avg avira mcafee norton etc they disable the vista version of windows defender by default

the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender

and other anti-virus programs use their own particular type of application to scan for spyware and malware

It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do

If the above does not apply to your machine to read the information on the below link on how to disable the windows defender service in vista or make an autostart to enable

    http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/disable-Windows-Defender-service-in-Windows-Server-2008-or-Vista/

and here is the method to remove it from startup in vista

    http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/remove-Windows-Defender-from-Vista-system-startup/

and this is how you would normally activate or disable windows defender in vista from within defenders of own and options tools

    http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/disable-Windows-Defender-for-Microsoft-Vista/

and read this information to microsoft:

Error message when you run Windows Defender: «Error 0x800106ba»

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/931849

and if you need to change startup programs read this information on the other methods of doing it without using defender

    using msconfig read this tutorial:

How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista

Here's how to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista to disable some unnecessary programs that load automatically at startup

and also try this FREE program Autoruns:

This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services more

  • Updates Windows 7 suddenly stopped working, stuck at updates

    Original title: Windows 7 updates

MS has stopped supporting Windows 7? Like many others, my updates of Windows 7 suddenly stopped working last month. I do not install a new or fresh, version but simply by doing what I did every month for a long time and trying to install the latest updates. Windows Update is just to 'check updates'. I left on for more than an hour several times. I tried each 'fix' that has been suggested. Nothing has worked. So, I resorted to the Windows Update Catalog check manually and I noticed that there were no new updates of Windows 7 security for may 2016. Why?

If all updates appeared and installed then reset the update system is a good idea.

    I prefer this small utility

Use Option 2 on the list after right click and select run as administrator

    https://Gallery.technet.Microsoft.com/scriptcenter/reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc

    Download in your downloads folder

Right-click and select extract all in the downloads folder.

Then right-click on ResetWUEng and select run as administrator

Follow the rest of the guides messages

    Press any key to continue

Type 2 for this Option in the list and the Enter key

Press on y for Yes I think twice

    After that that he completed

Type 15 for this option and the Enter key to restart the machine.

Must they will restart in 60 seconds will save your work... Press a key to continue.

After reboot, go to windows updates and manually check the updates shouldn't take a few minutes.

  • «This computer running illegal Windows...» »

In my laptop, I have a Windows 7 Ultimate since 2010 receipts through paid MS partnership program. Now I got messages like «this computer running illegal Windows...» ». What now? Windows 10 RELEASE?

There is NO sign of any problem in the MGADiag report - which probably means that the issue is of a race condition.

It is often the result of incompatible security software.

    What antivirus is currently installed?

What other security software is also installed?

What other AV has already been installed?

Malicious software may also cause this problem...

If please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - uncheck "Activate the free trial version of MBAM premium" at the end of the installation - and put to update, then run that a complete analysis of your main account and quick scan in user accounts.

All of the pdf files I've downloaded on my desktop (Windows 7) suddenly "disappeared."  I can open and view them, but cannot remove them or move them to another file.  When I try to delete, I get a message saying my trial has expired and he wants me to buy which I can't do because I don't have a serial number to put in. You (or someone) downloaded the free demo of Acrobat Pro, a little more than a month. If you use this software $20 / free months instead of drive for a month. If you don't want to buy it, now you must uninstall it and go back to the use of Acrobat Reader.

It is unlikely that it is slow because it's an 'illegal' version of Windows.  -How did you find this determination?

If the key prodcut on the sticker on the machine does not match the product key for the operating system installed/running - which does NOT automatically make it an illegal copy.  Some companies use their key "volume" during the installation of the massive numbers of computers - knowing your license is good through this certificate of Authenticity sticker that has a product key that you can use in an emergency.

As for the cleaning of Windows XP... There are some things you can do.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.

Cleaning the components of update on your Windows XP computer

While probably not 100% necessary-, it is probably a good idea at this time to ensure that you continue to get the updates you need.  This will help you ensure that your system update is ready to do it for you.

Download and run the MSRT tool manually:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx
(Ignore the details and download the tool to download and save to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

Download/install the latest program Windows installation (for your operating system):
    (Windows XP 32-bit: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3 - x 86 .exe )
(Download and save it to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

    and...

Download the latest version of Windows Update (x 86) agent here:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=91237
... and save it to the root of your C:\ drive. After you register on the root of the C:\ drive, follow these steps:

Close all Internet Explorer Windows and other applications.

    AutoScan--> RUN and type:
    %SystemDrive%\windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe /WUFORCE
    --> Click OK.

(If asked, select 'Run'). --> Click on NEXT--> select 'I agree' and click NEXT--> where he completed the installation, click "Finish"...

    Reset.

    Reset.

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are updates and should work fine - it is only only one other thing you pouvez wish to make:

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

After reading a little in the part of Q and r of the info for the Activation Center, I saw a comment that reinstallation of an image of one disc on another can cause activation problem, because Microsoft is trying to stop software piracy by illegal imagery from one disk to another. For me, it was the source of my problem: I got stuck by Microsoft procedures to stop piracy - except that I was copying just the image of my old drive to my new.

Anyway, I went to the repair shop where I got my new drive and it solved after returning from my product key, copy it down when the disks were set outside - part of the archiving process. Good plan!

    Thanks for the help PranavMishra5582.

  • window vista suddenly closing

close window vista arrived suddenly generally when I'm games. They said 'window is unresponsive and had to shut down to protect my data' option to [open in safe mode] [window to start normally] and another option. I usually start window normally but the judgment will happen sooner or later.

can someone help me really it?

Back up your computer, your user-specific files.

Access the list of the drives on your computer using the workstation. Right click on the system disk / boot in the list, usually by car C. Select goods, tools and then check now. Select correct errors.

Output. The computer will reboot to audit.

See if the error returns. If this is the case, repeat the procedure but also select Scan for...

Output. The computer will reboot to audit. It will take a while. If it is a big drive, which is quite complete, it will take a while.

When the audit is complete and if he passes the tests or is repaired, restart and see if the problem comes back. It is possible that errors are found and corrected, but the system is left with a few corrupted files. If you arrive at this result, a repair OS installation or recovery of the backup system are options - if you have a backup. But it's a better left bridge until you have to cross.
