IllegalArgumentException in Resource.instantiateMIDlet, line 209

I have a very basic application that has a single class that extends the MIDlet. When I run the application from the applications screen in the Simulator, I always get an IllegalArgumentException in Resource.instantiateMIDlet, line 209.

Going up the stack trace I see MIDletMain.activate (), Application.processnextMessage (), Application.enterEventDispatcher () and MIDletMain.main (String [])

I don't think that the source code of the resource class is on my machine anywhere. So I can not provide debugging much more without decompile, which I will not go.

I use the JDE right now. Would I be able to see more if I used Eclipse or something for development?

This is my first mobile application. So I'm a little weak on what would be best practices.

Thank you.

I solved this problem with the project properties.

Give the full name of your class created MIDlet (name of class and package in dotted format).

    Waiting for your valuable response.

It s pretty cool that you post the log file but I doubt that it could be useful.
To my eyes the CD/DVD drive is faulty or the CD that you used are not entirely compatible.

I had some burning questions with my CD/DVD drive, but I could solve this problem by using a different CD and DVD from another manufacturer.
I have read that many people recommend using TDK CD - R or DVD - R media.
I checked these discs and my drive supports it fully.

Maybe you should try it too.

    Welcome them

  • Defination

    Hello

I need perfect defination and eassy for model, cloning, Limitation, instant, memory Facillities, booking, cluster, HA, DRS, Cluster, Vmware Tools Resource Pool

    Please help me.

    Kind regards

    DJ

Welcome to the Forums - this is the basic definitions of vmware:

Model - a virtual machine that is marked not to power on and is used to create Virtual Machines

Cloning - make a copy of a deployed virtual machine

Limitation - don't know what you mean

Snapshot - technology that allows you to freeze the State of a virtual machine and its virtual disks so that you can back the virtual machine state

Memory Balloning - is a driver installed with the vmware tools that allows the vmkernel to influence the virtual machine guest o/s and its use of its own virtual memory - engage the balloon pilot free physical RAM for use by other virtual machines

VMware Tools - a set of drivers designed for the virtual environment - they are specific o/s and are installed on the computer, virtual to improve the performance of the virtual machine

Booking - will ensure a segment of CPU or memory is reserved for a virtual machine

cluster - is a group of servers that can be configured for HA or DRS

HA - high availability will restart the virtual machines that were running on an ESX Server that failed on the remaining ESX servers in the cluster HA

DRS - Distributed Resource Schedulere ensures the delivery of resources to virtual machines running on the DRS cluster in vMotioning fast virtual machines on a host with the available resources

Resource pools - allows you to carve up the resources of a DRS cluster into separate pools-

If you find this or any other answer useful please consider awarding points marking the answer correct or useful

These are very simplified, I recommend you to spend some time with the Documentation of VMware http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/ or other resources on line and trauning

    Hi Donald,.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

This happens usually when the script does not have enough permissions to manage this.

Please make sure that this folder applications, and two libraries have full read and write.

Also if it happens again, please tell me if you use Bridge for example or directly with Photoshop.

  • I can list pools of resources via a command line tool?

I'm trying to find out if I can understand if a virtual computer is in a resource pool by using a line of remote control. This could be easier than getting a list pools of resources available on a host, or if a virtual machine is a member of a pool of resources. Any ideas anyone?

I tried the tools provided with vmware-viperl (guestinfo.pl and vminfo.pl) and vmware-cmd (as well as other tools that were not even close).

    Thank you.

Take a look at this script that retrieves this information without having to use the unsupported ESXi console: getVMsResourcePools.pl

You will need to install the vSphere SDK for Perl OR use [vMA | http://www.VMware.com/support/Developer/Vima/index.html ]

  • Command line and Resource Manager

When you use the command line to compile a Robohelp project, is it possible to update the resources shared within the project before generation?

For example, you have Project1 and uses snippet1 in this project. However, snippet1 has been changed in the Resource Manager (just say, for the sake of argument, that snippet1 is also used in Project2, and you changed the extract it and it synchronized to the Resource Manager). When you do a regular command line compilation, the extract is not updated.

Is it possible to synchronize the excerpts and images from the resource manager in the project before proceeding with compiling from command line (other than opening the project and sync manually)? After all, if I have to open the project, there is no reason for the compilation command line since I was already there and can just compile the project.

    Thank you!

I found a way around this!

RoboHelp does not care if the files are updated through the application or through Windows Explorer (such as copying the latest file in the project folder).

I created a simple batch file copies and replace any file that is older than the file that is located in the resource manager. This allows RoboHelp pull into the updated files in a command-line compilation. There is always a way!

However, I found something problematic with the command line compilation. I started a new thread to ask about it.

  • Identify an impasse resources graphic with 1 line and 1 table lock

Hi, I ran into occurrences repeated event deadlock graph at the bottom of this post and a few questions about this:

    1. it seems that proc 44, session 548 holds a line lock (X). Is the boy, proc. 30, session 542, is trying to acquire a lock line (X) also or an exclusive table (X) on the table lock that contains this line?
    2. under what circumstances would be something keep an exclusive table lock on line (SX) and to upgrade that to an exclusive table lock part (SSX) online?
    3. our cxml_foldercontent table contains a column "structuredDataId" with a cxml_structureddata.id FK and a trigger ON DELETE SET NULL. This would help to explain why a "update" for a table (i.e.g cxml_foldercontent) would also need to acquire a lock on a foreign table, cxml_structureddata?
    4. What is the difference between "current SQL statement:" and "for the session current SQL statement:"? This terminology is confusing. Session 542 running "update" or "delete"?
    5. in the ' waiting lines: "section is - this mean 542 Session expected on obj - rowid = 0000BE63 - AAAL5jAAGAAA6tZAAK or that it is has the lock on the same row, and other things are waiting on this subject?

This means that there is a more verbose parameter for these traces of the impasse?

Lol other SQLs would also be included in the deadlock trace.

You can get these details by setting values for the following parameters (at the level of the session, preferably) before generating the 10046 trace.

    ALTER SESSION SET timed_statistics = TRUE ;

Yes, both are working against IDSSTG. MBRSHP_COV_ULP_DNTL

Why should table be changed (ALTER TABLE) as part of the normal treatment?

Table DDL should be consistent between versions of software version.

the worst that happens is that no INDEX is created.

SQL will run on this table.

    just CREATE INDEX later

  • Equium A60-191: number of Modem - only an analog phone lines are supported

My Equium A60 has been turned on when lightning struck nearby and caused the power supply turn off and turn back on.

The OS is XP Home and my ISP is AOL. When I try to access the Net with DUN, I get the repeated error message:

"Connected phone line is not compatible with this modem. Only analog phone lines are supported. »

My desktop computer, which also uses AOL, always connects to the same phone line with no problems.

I restarted the A60 several times; changed and I tried the 2 phone connection cables - both work; the phone line works very well; I reinstalled the driver provided on this site; removed the tick from the box that says to wait for the telephone line; verified that the modem is working and on the Device Manager list. All this is in vain.

Convenience store suggests that COM 3 is not enabled. I don't see that com 3 listed in the device under Ports Manager.

I tried Google and ASK with the error message. There is not a lot of posts, and it seems that the Toshiba modem is actually an Agere. This fact seems to be the object of some of the complaints.

Finally, I uninstalled the driver/modem, AOL and another DUN connection. I restarted and went through the process of installing AOL and "new hardware". While the modem is on and allegedly working... I am still unable to connect to the Net. I reinstalled an additional 'pay as you go' ISP. When I try to dial a number on which it generates error 680. It does this even when the box is unchecked, to wait for a dial tone.

I would be very grateful if someone could help it. I'm out of ideas.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

You are right, the modem supports the Modem Agere chip.
You won't find the COM3 in the Device Manager for the modem uses a non-real com port. It s virtual com port.

I think you should start the diagnostic tool test and check if the Modem has no malfunction.
Additional you must remove the connection in the region Select utility and after restarting again create a new.

I also found useful Microsoft article on troubleshooting network and dial-up connections.

Once again, thank you for any help.

  • Portege M700 - random lines are displayed when I write

A few months ago, I bought a Portege M700 tablet PC for school. It works fine all this time and I was in love. A problem started well this morning.

When I wrote there would be random lines from off the letters that make it difficult to read. After some tests, I realized that it seems to be like the screen was stuck back somehow. What happens is, I'll write something and after that I raised the pen he will continue to write for a little bit after. I think that the screen is stuck is because the most difficult I have support to write more he will continue to write even if the pen does not touch on the screen.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks for any help.

    Try to calibrate the screen.
If you use the writing system then check if you have enough system resources free for it.
I have problem with some 3rd party programs for writing (for example paragon penreader - write anywhere on the screen).
This problem was with programs that is too resourses of system for his work and the recognition and the same drawing a line has been very slow.
If you have some non-standard programs for writing that I recommend uninstalling and check again.

And try to remember what software install you in the last week or two at the start of this problem ;)
