• Crack for Illustrator brushes

  I'm relatively new to Illustrator, so thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

  I have a logo I've created. This is simple text which I would like to place transparent cracks (and cracking ice). It seems to me (maybe I'm wrong) that the best way to achieve this would be to find a brush that looks like cracks and draw affects the brush on the logo and then use the pathfinder to "write off" these traces from brush.

  Can someone point me in the direction of some good crack for Illustrator brushes? I searched in Google, but have not met very many good.

  Also, if I'm a complete newb and there is a better way to do what I describe, I would be very happy that information as well.

  You cannot use Photoshop Brushes in Illustrator.

  Photoshop brushes are raster images that you "paint" in other raster images. Illustrator do not edit raster images.

  Illustrator brushes are quite different. In general, they are vector illustrations that gets stretched or scattered along a vector path.

  Hi all - I recently bought a surface 4 pro, mainly of the sketch and the General work with Illustrator. I'm not used to the pressure sensitivity, but I don't think that helps my problem.

  I have a coup.25 with the Brush tool and whenever I draw a line curved, say a flower petal or a loop, the curved end of the petal ends up bigger, but not pressure. All my settings angle and pressure are set to "fixed." Has anyone else had this problem when working on a tablet or with a pen?

  Here is an example of what happens:

  

  Effect > distort & transform > zig - zag

  

  Simply adjust the settings until the jobs have disappeared.

  I am a graphic design student and has been offered a job to create a logo. I work in Illustrator, and I was wondering if it is OK to use the brushes, which are already done on illustrator, for commercial use? Also, if I transform/recreate the fonts which are not mine, that make their mine or should I still must he original creators permission to use commercially?

  Yes, all the premade brushes, patterns and such can use you to create commercial products. This includes fonts.

• If anyone can help with a brush QUESTION! Maxed out at 5000 size but still weak against document

  I have my smoke brush maxed out at 5000 in size and it is still tiny against the document. I called every number, try chat support and already posted this question once here and I can't get help. I don't know how to make this larger brush against the document canvas.

  Your view all zoom out everything is small when discovered 0.7% of the size. Use view actual pixels and it will be so large, that it does not fit on your screen.

• Model CC Illustrator brushes error

  I teach an intro class fashion Illustration and my students use many brushes model.  In the latest version of CC after creating a brush model correctly and close the file, reopen the file, the brush is no longer in the brush library and any applied with the brush of model line is more a path, but an expanded version of the brush.

  Figure 1 shows the brush to correct model applied to a path.

  

  Image 2 shows what happens once the file is saved and reopened. The brush model disappeared and the path has been expanded.

  

  It's just one of many mistakes with brushes in this latest version of CC model.

  This is an issue which could be resolved by applying the effect of scraping with a size of 0 and then experimenting with retail when you preview is on.

  In order to create a scatter brush, you need to select at least one object to trace on the scratch area.

  If you have not selected the option will be grayed out.
