Illustrator CC text bounding box

As you can see on the bottom of the image when I use the text tool (text area not the tool) when I select the text of the framework encompassing is lager in terms of height as the text so when I tried to go down (up or down) with an object any (lets say square) it is not properly aligned, the alignment is done by enclosing no per line of text (the bottom line).

is it possible to do including match the text without creating contours (live still keep the text)?

TNX in advance!

Help.jpg

Ivan,

You can:

(1) tick Edit > preferences > General > use overview of limits;

(2) select the Type and the effect > path > describe the object.

Which will reduce the Bounding Box to the real limits of the letters.

  • Scripting: Bounding Box paragraph Style

    I just discussed with the Om de Support technique Adobe.  He informs me that I'm trying to do is possible with scripts, but I'm not qualified to do this at all, so I was hoping that the community here might be able to help me.  What I'm trying to do is this...

    I'm laying on a document that has some paragraphs that need to be surrounded by a box with a 1 p 0 black line. When the paragraph in question is shared between two columns top half of the box must surround the text in the first column and the bottom half of the box outline the text at the top of the next column. In other words, the box should be split as well as the paragraph. When in the middle of a column, the box is intact. I drew the box by hand, but when the text is rearranged for a reason all the boxes must be moved and a lot of 3 lines of half of the boxes must be be redrawn. I'm looking for a way to do the same thing programmatically by creating a style to manage not only the text but the bounding box as well.

    Here is a screenshot of a PDF document finished illustrating both a bounding box in the middle of a column and a separation between the columns.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    $450 is a pretty outrageous sum, considering a simple paragraph of the DTP Utils border hiked up Google search (Utils DTP |) Products | Paragraph border), which is (1) a plug-in (in other words, no script not required; you add the border as a paragraph attribute), and (2) there is only $60.

  • How to get a vertical Automatic centering of the text of paragraph in its bounding box in a composition of model.

    I use a composition of model to replace the different lengths of text in a number of instances of a graph custom in first Pro CC2015. The custom graph contains a circle shape with the text of the model implemented in the form of text of paragraph with its bounding box centered above the circle. Although I can justify to center text horizontally within the bounding box, I can't find a way to center the text vertically within the bounding box. The solution I'm looking for should work automatically with the text of different length strings used for different instances throughout the first sequence.

    No, there is no such thing. You could probably create an installation complicated with a host of text, possibly with an expression, but if not, you will need to manually adjust.

  • How to get the bounding box of the text element boundaries.

    Hi all

    I try to get the boundaries of the bounding box of the text of paragraph element. I found the following link,

    the coordinate of a bounding box is the same as the coordinates of the layer?

    But the solution does not work for me. It is for me as the layer of destination each time that is the limits of the actual text.

    Can someone have an idea how to do this?

    Thank you.

    Ok.. Looks like these settings that if the upper line of fonts is calculated from the highest point of the highest glyph or above the normal uppercase and can go above this. What is it changes by the police?  And if the exchange difference, the bottom of the bounding box moves it or increase the height?

    Discover the values limits-descriptor, especially 'top '. I think that it used to have small values of values that could be the delta of the value of the position. Note that there might be the scaling issue that I explained earlier

    Var ref = new ActionReference()

    ref.putEnumerated (charIDToTypeID ("Lyr"), charIDToTypeID ("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID ("Trgt"))

    var action = executeActionGet (ref)

    var textKey = action.getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('textKey'))

    var limit = textKey.getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('bounds'))

    Top Var = bounds.getUnitDoubleValue (stringIDToTypeID ('top'))

    var left = bounds.getUnitDoubleValue (stringIDToTypeID ('left'))

  • Transformation/Bounding Box Bug Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0

    Hi guys,.

    I made a small screencast here, anyway the bug is simple to explain. For some reason any transform/bounding box disappears on simple objects, but behaves normally on multiples and groups.

    Such a small thing but very annoying.

    see you soon

    Dave

    (Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0 - OSX 10.8.5 MBP i7 2.66GHx | 8 GB of RAM)

    No fixed soon Adobe Illustrator ?

    Dave,

    There are a few options.

    The bug of live Rectangle that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

    Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

    To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

    A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • reset the weird acting bounding box in Illustrator CC2014

    I upgraded to Illustrator CC 2014 last week and I have a problem with delivery to zero limit box function. With previous versions of Illustrator, upward through and including the previous version of CC, I was able to use the reset function bounding box after the rotation of an object to reset the X limits / there axes. Now, in 2014 of CC, I am unable to do it with rectangles, and rounded rectangles. He still works for ellipses and polygons and stars, but not for the rectangles. When I rotate a rectangle and try to reset the bounding box, nothing happens. Is there some arcane adjustment that I managed to turn on or off? Everyone knows about this problem?

    News, tips, tricks, or condolences are appreciated.

    You must release the first rectangle. It is a direct form.

    Read about rectangles directly in the section "News" of the manual (it is presented each time you start the program after all).

  • Resizing Auto text in a bounding box (and remove the line break)

    I have a lot of certificates of completion of the course I create (using pre-made our graphic charts).  I set up some variables from my diapers and I use a data set to shoot in the person's name, the course title and date of a CSV file.  The text 'Name' encompassing that I created is set to a specific width and height (and must stay that way) with a font size of 94,22 pt; However, some names are REALLY long and are too big for the bounding box.  They dress up.  When I run the "data fusion", I need Photoshop to automatically resize the text in the bounding box so that it is not word wrap.

    For example, "Jane Doe" fits well in the box.  However, "Johnathan Cornelius Doe" is too long, and the word encapsulates.  Instead, I want Photoshop to the long name and simply its size down to fit properly in the lack of word envelope bounding box.

    I have about 200 of them to spend in Photoshop, print and send.  I really don't want to individually open each certificate to verify this last after that I have run through.  I just batch process and print batch.

    Is there a way to do this?  Please note that I have never made any script; so if this is the way it must take, I need to explain carefully and in simple terms.

    Thank you!

    OK, try this. Save the code in a text file with the extension .jsx below. Create an action that runs the script. Then, you can use this action with the batch command.

    #target photoshop
    var doc = activeDocument
    doc.activeLayer = doc.layers.getByName ('LastName')
    var ly = doc.activeLayer
    var before = ly.bounds[2]-ly.bounds[0]

    var amt = doc.width/before*100
    transText (amt)
    ly.translate (-ly.bounds[0], 0)

    function transText(amt){

  • Bounding box does not object (Illustrator CS4)

    I don't know if this is a bug or a mistake on my part, but since last week, the bounding box for my objects really did match objects. It's really problematic when I try to turn the object using the bounding box handles.

    Occasionally, after I have transform the object covering the match again and will transform correctly. Sometimes it will stay off. If he refocus, undoing the changes back to the original size will cause the framework encompassing restore in his State do not match.

    Things, I tried to solve the problem:

    1. Reset bounding box
    2. Copy and paste the form to another document
    3. A new document from scratch (I thought it was possible I corrupted the file)
    4. Return the default keyboard shortcuts
    5. Restart Illustrator
    6. Rebooting my system

    To my knowledge, my system has not been last updated last week, or whatever again was installed. However, HE pushes the interview so there is a possibility that it has been updated and I don't know about it. The only programs open work in Illustrator is bridge, Outlook 2007, IE8, Explorer, InDesign CS4, Word 2007, Photoshop CS4, Acrobat 9 Professional, Dreamweaver CS4, PowerPoint 2007, Previewer and possibly FireFox 3. something (although not necessarily at the same time - usually about 7 of the above listed). My system is XP Professional SP3 with an Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 GHz and 3.25 GB of RAM. The objects are not grouped, contain no clipping masks, contain no transparency masks and are not transparent traces. They are paths/simple forms, often of the rectangles.

    I've included some pics to explain better my problem. This first picture shows how the framework encompassing does not match the rectangle.

    The second image shows the process of transformation of the form through drag.

    The third image shows the result.

    It is a display bug (?) that has been around for a while.  The corners of the rectangle enclosing space requirement and display then the bounding box must be established more then the object it contains.  That's correct, I think - but the bug occurs when you resize and she estimated the size of the bounding box, rather than the size of the object.

    The only solution for the bounding box to work is to zoom in order to have the corners of room bounding box to draw the size of the object.  Alternatively, look at your panel of transformation to manually resize your object.

    Would also report to Adobe so they know that we care about it being fixed: Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form

    I don't know how to get rid of them in a file that you have already opened, but I know why you get them. When you create a new file with a profile "Video and film", you will get the guides of film and television production.

    Try instead to create a new document with a «Basic RGB» profile
