Illustrator CC - Zoom with scroll wheel?

I put Photoshop in place so that I can zoom in and out by using the arrow pad (not used, just scroll keys).

I'm getting started with Illustrator, and I'll put up my workspace for its similar to what I have in Photoshop, but I can't seem to find the zoom with the mouse scrolling option!

It is simply non-existent or just hard to find in Illustrator?

I'm afraid that you have to press Alt/Option, d.

  • Zoom with scroll wheel of scrolling in PSE8?

    Hello

PSE5, it is always by default you could zoom in and out the image / area of work with the help of the scroll of the mouse wheel. Since PSE6 this function seems to no longer be available. I use PSE8, and the question is if there is a way to activate the zoom with the scroll wheel somewhere in the program?

Thank you very much in advance!

It is in the General preferences. Just turn it on.

  • Anyone having problems with scroll wheel zoom since the 12.1 update?

Zoom in or out in the composition with my scroll wheel window is suddenly a very inconsistent process. I'm used to be able to scroll or back to a simple 'tick' of my scroll wheel. Now, it seems that sometimes one must a huge burst of scroll wheel to zoom in at all, and then of course it is difficult zoom with precision. Single ticks no longer seem to have any effect.

    Hey!

Is there a way to adjust the size of the brush with your mouse...

Change the brush size: Alt + right mouse button

Change the hardness of the brush: Alt + shift + right mouse button

If you have enabled the drawing OpenGL,

You can see how the hardness is changed and the size too...

  • I updated FF to 15.0.1; now there is no new tabs boxes, and I can't remove a tab with scroll wheel.

    I use Windows XP.
Then, he used to be a small square next to the last tab box open that I could click to open a new tab. Now, I can just open a new tab if I double click on a space empty next to the last open tab.
And I used to be able to open a group of tabs, to do what I had to do and then click Center mouse scroll to the bottom of the line to delete what I have is no longer necessary. Now, the only way I can close tabs is to use the x on the right side of the tab I'm currently. But, sometimes it does not work...
Nothing has changed about how I put FF in place - just the update.

You can open a new tab with Ctrl-t. You should be able to find the new tab button in the Customize window toolbar. You can replace it. If the Middle-click to remove is no longer a tab, you can use Ctrl-left click.

  • I want to Ctrl-zoom in CS6, Alt-zoom - with the mouse scroll wheel...

    Hello!

Is there by chance a way to change the entries and outzooming in InDesign CS6 to be with the Ctrl key instead of the Alt key? When you use the mouse to zoom scroll wheel, I mean.

I used to press Ctrl and scroll the wheel to zoom in and zoom out, and now I'm too old to learn using Alt + key instead, that it is impossible, the tracks in my head to use Ctrl is too deep. Cannot be erased or replaced.

Or is there maybe a way to make the wheel to zoom in and out without stroking any key?

    James

No possibility to change the zoom keys. Here's another way to zoom in and out.

Use Ctrl + space, and then click the mouse to zoom in

Use Ctrl + Alt + SPACEBAR, and then click the mouse to zoom out

  • BUG: Alt + stop scroll Zoom with monitor 4K Windows

Monitors Windows 8.1 with 4K users and have Windows' upscaling activated, please let me know if you can reproduce in the comments! If you have a Mac, you can try to reproduce too, to see if it's just a Windows thing.

I recently install a monitor of 28 "4K for my Windows machine and upgraded to Windows 8.1, because it has better follow independent scaling. I also still have a screen 1920 x 1080. (I do not recommend this configuration and Windows 8.1 does not handle it well.) But that's another story)

Premiere Pro is up to date: 2014.2 version: v8.1, caravan

By default, Windows has this slider set to the recommended average setting:

    display_scaling.png

It upscale almost seen everything in Windows, including a Premiere Pro interface.

There is a problem: while placing the cursor on my calendar, hold down the ALT key and my mouse wheel scrolling is not zoom properly. He zooms in, but the location in that zoomed in is incorrect.

Here's how Alt + scroll to zoom usually works:

-where your cursor is where zoom you. If the cursor is positioned on the CTI, you zoom with centric ICT. If your cursor is at the level of the 2-minute mark, when alt-scroll to zoom in, the 2 minute mark will be centered in the timeline panel.

With Windows 8 scaling of the market, math that anime centering algorithm of Alt + scroll are completely overwhelmed! It is difficult to describe in words, so here's a chart that shows exactly what happens when I place my cursor over the red spots and try alt + scroll:

    cursor_zoom_not_working.png

If the software worked as expected, red & yellow arrows ecaple eachother, because your zoom must be placed right where the cursor is.

It drives me crazy, I pressed Alt + stop scroll method to zoom. Zoom tool and the keys +/-are not enough; granular and resizing of the horizontal scroll bar is a more recent addition to the first that I didn't need to use immediately, such as alt + scroll stop worked very well for me until the upgrade to 4K.

Now, I considered my second 1080 p monitor might have added to the math problems, as it has a different amount of the scale applied on it, but I've completely disabled the second monitor and performed tests and had the same bug, so the chances of my second monitor having an effect on this bug are incredibly thin.

    Of course there are solutions:

    • Tour Windows DPI scaling. Fixed the problem instantly, but everything is really tiny on the screen and is not really recommended
    • Do not use the Alt + stop scroll method to zoom.

I guess it's only a bug in Windows, but if anyone wants to test this on a Mac with a Retina display, which would be useful!

Can anyone else reproduce this bug? If so, can be bug reports to ensure that the message is in any of the files? I've heard of the brand that it is the best way to ensure that the first team takes a serious problem. If a bug is reported only by a single user, there is a chance that very few users encounter the problem, and they will not give priority to a solution.

    Hi Tim,.

First of all, I'm sorry that you are affected by this frustrating issue. If I understand your question, it's a problem only Windows and it does not occur on Mac.

    Tim K says:

Right. It is not currently recommended to the scale of your display beyond 100% with Adobe digital video applications and Windows 8.1. This can be problematic for wider screens, like the one you mention. If I understand correctly, we work with our partners of Microsoft to correct some of these anomalies, but in the meantime, we have resolved issues UI that makes a few items too small to read in some panels.

    Tim K says:

Premiere Pro is up to date: 2014.2 version: v8.1, caravan

In fact, there is conflicting info. While the current version is (first Pro CC) 2014.2, you say you have 8.1 caravan, which is not common. Who says you can have the October version installed and have not yet fully updated your application to 8.2, the release of December. The version of December is those with a few corrections of the user interface on the type unreadable in some panels.

The only other suggestion I can offer is to change the font size, the Group of project items in the Panel menu. Helps me to see the elements of the list view much more easily.

Please file a bug report, so that we can add your details to our database.

    Thank you

  • RE: Zoom with the mouse wheel

    Hello everyone.

Is it possible to Zoom in and out with Scroll mouse in Lightroom, just as you can do that in Photoshop.

Also, I noticed inside the library, you can zoom in and out with the Zoom Slider at the bottom of the page.

But there is no cursor inside of developing Mode of Zoom, why there is no cursor inside develop Mode Zoom?

    Thank you.

Press [T] to activate the toolbar of development.  On the side of the tool bar HR is an arrow down. Click on it and put a check mark next to Zoom.

The reason that your scroll wheel doesn't zoom is because it is normally mapped to the brush size/Feather functions.

You can force a scroll zoom by moving the cursor of your mouse over the zoom slider, clicking once and then scroll.

  • Scroll with mouse wheel requires several "ticks" to start scrolling

I recently got a new mouse, and now when you use firefox the scroll wheel doesn't work properly. Everywhere else, I can do simple ticks of scrolling to scroll the content, but in firefox a graduation scroll is simply ignored as are several ticks if a little slow. In order to get firefox to actually scroll with the mouse wheel, I quickly make a few ticks at the same time. This makes for very imprecise control.

I tried to turn off smooth scrolling, hardware acceleration and pixel scrolling, but none of these permits. Any help for firefox to stop ignoring ticks of slow and unique scrolling would be greatly appreciated.

Well, after some searching around, I found that reported on a different logitech mouse and it ends up being the setpoint for firefox extension. I turned that off and scroll began to work properly in firefox.

    Hello

    1. is the problem of scrolling limited to Windows Mail or any other application?
2 what is a wired or a wireless mouse?
    3. What is the serial number and model of the mouse?

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.
Method 1: Check the settings of the mouse wheel. Follow these steps.
    a. click the Start button.
    b. type main.cpl in the start search box and press enter.
Properties of the mouse window will open.
    c. now, click on the tab of the wheel .
    d. change the premium rate numbers scroll and check if it helps.

Method 2: If you are facing the issue only with Windows Mail, I suggest to create a new user account and check.

If the problem is resolved in the new user account, this means that the old user profile is damaged. Here is the link to repair a user account damaged: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile
