  We came across the same issue and have been able to solve the problem on our systems simply by rebooting.

  Many of our users who have sent found that Universal copy & paste deactivating solves the problem for them.

  Something in the way Chrome handles copy / paste feature seems to be launching programs Adobe to some people for a loop.

  Our creative cloud has had some problems in the updates and I've installed illustrator again with the new version of the cc for 2014, but the rest of the problem.

  I just posted on this forum a problem of not being able to print. It is a different problem (although maybe they are related).

  There is a file created in Illustrator CS2 (I think) a couple of years.

  I am able to open the file in CS5 Illy without any problem and edit.

  But as soon as I try to save the file (even without having made any changes), Illustrator crashes. There even insofar as the record dialog box options, it just hangs.

  There is no text in this file - it's just 15 images embedded with a small 3d extrusion.

  I use version Middle East CS5.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

  If any file you try to save crashes constantly, then take a look at what printer you have selected and choose a different printer or update the .ppd for your printer.

  Otherwise try to reset your preferences by pressing Shift Ctrl alt immediately after the start of Illustrator

  I also lived down in Illustrator. I found my way to this subject and discovered that my problem is a Chrome extension called Pushbullet. After the suppression of Pushbullet of Chrome and restarted my computer, I was able to drag clips into my script again. If you use Pushbullet or perhaps another ill run Chrome extension, chances are, that could very well be the source of your problem!

  Run 16.0.5 on a MBP OSX 10.9.5 the retina. Whenever I try to drag an object to move, Illustrator crashes. I can click on an object/points and move with my keyboard arrow keys, but not with the mouse or trackpad. I have reimagee my machine, with all fees install cs, but the problem persists. All tracks for a solution are appreciated.

  This problem has been resolved by removing all the layers "Sub" on Flash Pro (ActionScript only of the layers, layers hidden etc..). Still a bug, but, since it blocks Illustrator.
