  I installed Illustrator CC v18 a few months ago and I was using it normally.

  My operating system language is Spanish (I'm in Spain)

  So today I wanted to install a graphic style, which I downloaded from a Web site, and I installed it. Just use the menu of libraries to find the .ai file in which are contained the styles... and then found the .ai file and selected to open it, so I loaded styles, as always. What's happened is this .ai file destroyed my Illustrator. Exactly what happened is this:

  When I searched for the file .ai with styles... and loaded it... in the menu of libraries...

  1 illustrator did not open any library of styles... nothing happened...

  2. then libraries button has been disabled, even if you pressed on top, was completely impossible to make it work...

  So I decided to close illustrator and restart my PC

  After my PC restarted... I tried to launch Adobe Illustrator and what has happened is that illustrator doesn't work well anymore.

  It is as if this style "screwed up everything" inside the Illustrator, and now it gives me many mistakes CANT and MIT!

  Sorry, but hell ARE these errors and CANT... Unknown error...

  3. so I create a new document, I get a CANT and a mistake MIT...

  4. the default styles are not displayed correctly after these errors...

  5. Finally if I create a blank document, and then, when I am drawing something I get screens increasingly bothering me with error CANT... Error CANT...

  I'm really confused and do not know what to do.

  I have panic to illustrator to uninstall and reinstall again.

  SYMPTOMS: After some time of use, Adobe Illustrator CC does much more and display an ERROR UNKNOWN CANT... or UNKNOWN MIT ERROR... or both... This could happen unexpectedly, or simply by loading the graphic styles developed by a third party.
  

  POSSIBLE CAUSE: The corruption of the preference of the files inside the folder settings Adobe Illustrator CC.

  TIME TO FIX IT: 2 to 5 minutes. NO NEED TO UNINSTALL OR REINSTALL ANYTHING *.

  DIFFICULTY: Easy

  SOLUTION:

  1. Close Adobe Illustrator CC if it is already open
  2. Go to \AppData\Roaming\Adobe C:\Users\
  3. Please note the Windows to create folder with the identifier that you use in Windows
  4. In the \Adobe folder, navigate to the folder... Adobe Illustrator XX Settings, where XX represents the version of Adobe Illustrator, for example Adobe Illustrator 18 settings or Adobe Illustrator 19
  5. Then, move this folder on your desktop
  6. Preserve this folder moved in your office, so on later, you can browse it and recover workspaces already saved (optional)
  7. Now open Adobe Illustrator CC, it will automatically create a new settings file, reset all factory values, without the need to reinstall.
  8. Unknown error CANT or MIT now does not appear anymore.

  WORKSPACES (OPTIONAL) TRANSFER:

  • If you have multiple workspaces, due, we reset Illustrator to the factory default values, you will find more of your workspaces. HOWEVER, WE CAN RECOVER'EM.

  • To recover your work spaces just go to the folder of Illustrator, that we have already placed in your office... and navigate to the workspace folder
  • For users in the United States... \Adobe Illustrator XX Settings\en_US\x64\workspaces
  • For Spanish users of Spain... Adobe Illustrator 18 Settings\es_ES\x64\Espacios of work
  • It copy all the files of your workspaces created earlier...
  • Now go to the folder on the nine parameters for Illustrator, Illustrator CC created on your hard drive...

• Illustrator CS6 transformation Panel is crazy

  The transformation Panel is to have a 'behavior' in particular when I'm changing the size of the objects.  "If I and in size 10.0"x 10.0"oppose with selection of the"proportion of constraint"and I change to 15.0" change immediately to 15.009 'x 15.0179 '.  How is it possible?.   See the screenshots.

  No matter if the "proportion of constraint" option is selected or not the same ' ' behavior in all cases.  The main problem is the size is not precision and 'behavior' is still there.

  After having tried and tried to correct the size I did.  Another surprise I got was when my client to receive the file and open it again the sizes so badly.    Why is this?   Thanks for any idea or solution to this problem.

  There are some settings that create some strangenesses, but none of them seem to match.

  It may be time for the list:

  The following is a general list of things, try when

  (A) the question is not in a specific file,

  (B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and

  (B) it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).

  You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.

  Your English is great. Select your items and disable align on the pixel grid.

  

  In the dialog box disable also align new objects on the pixel grid. When you create new documents turn this setting off on the new document screen.

  You see the little yellow triangle in your screenshot? There's something about the spot. For example, you might want to convert the complete works in full color and flatten transparency and try again.

  You can also dive a little further in the feature, and then you can see that what you asked is not possible to calculate. Your alternative would be to expand it in a decent light 3D software and all sorts of things: go ahead.

  The effect of 3D in Illustrator are no features 3D software.

• Cannot install Adobe Illustrator on my Toshiba Vista laptop

  Last week, I bought a new laptop from Toshiba with Windows Vista installed on it. I'm trying to install Adobe Illustrator CS on it, which has installed without problem on my last computer that has windows XP.

  I installed the program but when I open it, it gives me the following message: "you are not allowed to continue running because your account does not have appropriate privileges. Please log in using an account with administrator privileges and try again. The only option I have then is to click ok, which closes the program.

  The computer has only a user account who is the administrator, which is what I use, but it still says I have to log in with an administrator account.
  This means that I can't use Adobe Illustrator on it now which is one of the programs that I need to use the bridge. The copy of the program worked fine with Windows XP on my other computer.

  I called Microsoft and they said that because Vista came installed on the Toshiba laptop so it comes to Toshiba s and not to them, like Toshiba would have configured vista properly before putting it on the laptop.

  Please can anyone help at all. I love my new laptop, but this issue is driving me crazy because I can't do any work of Illustrator here and my other computer is really very slow.

  In my opinion, you must contact Adobe support. Microsoft is not responsible for the use of additional software and Toshiba don't make changes to the OS just add own designed drivers, tools and utilities.

  Adobe must have enough experience with own products. I also think that the Adobe brand tests with own software for use on different operating systems.

  The error message is as follows - "Adobe Illustrator - no response from plotter. Check if the plotter is in remote mode"- of course, it is always - I was on the site of Mimaki and downloaded... "Vector/raster driver version 2.2 s 0023v 22. exe (484KB))" and tried all possible ways to make it work - it just won't! So on Monday I'll ring Mimaki in NSW Oz 02-4272-3663 and I have a little chat - the next step, I'll probably send the plotter to them for a start and service - what can I do else?

• Download Illustrator stops at 5%

  Until last week, I downloaded a trial version of Illustrator and loved.  But the weekend, my computer went crazy and deleted process repair.  I decided to buy it and to be honest, I bought by mistake the photographer first cloud.  When I went to download it, it just stops and disappears from the toolbar installation.  I then bought illustrator and tried to download that... but it stops at 5%.  Help!

• Illustrator CC - shape tool won't forms

  I just Illustrator, having been a long-time user of PS, and the interface is driving me crazy because I have the impression that perfectly intuitive actions are not functional - but now I'm wondering if there is just something wrong with my computer, because what should probably be the simplest tool does not work properly.

  So basically, when I select the tool, then click and drag and let go so that my desired proportions are formed, the tool exit the (lack of a technical term)-is moving-mode, where the sides are highlighted and you can see the anchor points. I tried pressing enter, shift, "m", right click, but nothing works. As soon as I try to use the tool to create an additional form, the original sketch disappears, because the record form as a finished object. I watched the tutorials on how to use the shape tool and none of them say a few words on manually deselect the tool in order to get the desired shape, and when I click right it isn't an option deselect that would keep the form of tact, anyway. Someone has an idea what is happening?

• Illustrator placed narrowing TIFF

  I am preparing some tiff files for printing in repetition patterns on fabric. When I place the tiff file in Illustrator to check repetition works it is a small white line between each tiff. Tiff files are 300mm square, but in Illustrator, they are 299,974 mm. I'm afraid that the white line will be visible on the printed fabric. I tried off setting in Photoshop files, but there is no white line showing. I don't know what to do, I re made the files on & more. Is this just a glitch Illustrator & files will be very good indeed for printing?

  There seems to be a white line, with some files, but when I Zoom in the line disappears, with others that is not. I create all the files the same way tiff, it drives me crazy!

  When you want to work with images accurately, use pixels.

  Millimeters can perfectly be converted to pixels.

  In Photoshop, there is no such thing as 1/2 or 1/4 of a pixel, so you get a rounding to a whole pixel.

  300 mm at 300 ppi in Photoshop will become really: 3543 px, which translates as 299,97 mm

  Add an another pixel (3544px) and you will get: 300,06 mm

• Illustrator CC constantly crashing without particular reason

  I don't know where else to turn. This is driving me crazy. I tried to move deletion or moving of files preferably, workspaces, keyboard shortcuts, etc... I tried to reinstall, clean installs, everything. I do not understand why crashes continuously Illustrator, with no consistent or specific trigger. Sometimes immediately on switching applications. Sometimes when you choose a tool. Sometimes when I try to save a PDF of a working file. Sometimes when I just save, I got used to doing 30 seconds just to avoid losing my job. Often this is not enough. Most of the time it crashes when I do nothing but looking at the screen.

  In various forums, I read that it can be a police problem... I use FontAgent Pro (v6.502) and * not * it can manage system fonts.

  Hard drive space is full; on a 2 years 27 "iMac with 32 GB of RAM.

  The app crashes as soon as you launch it? I checked both the newspapers of your accident and it seems that you are using the Wacom tablet. If the application crashes as soon as you start, please access: Mac HD > library > executives > copy the framework multi-touch Wacom from there, on the desktop (trash from there after copying) and then re start HAVE and check.

• When I load Illustrator CC 2015 the page says Initialising... and then the program freezes and will not open. I can only successfully open Illustrator once in each tent 4 or 5.

  Please try following steps:

  1. close the AI.

  2. navigate to C:\Users\your username\AppData (hidden folder) \Roaming\Adobe\ Rename 'Adobe Illustrator 19 settings' folder 'old Adobe Illustrator 19 parameters.

  3 re launch HAVE and check.

• Publication of multilingual in Illustrator

  Hello!

  Have a question about using Adobe Illustrator multilingual publications. Is it still possible?

  I'm working on a publication (which my predecessor did) which has about 200 pages. Each page is a separate. File to HAVE that has text on it. Now the customer wanting to publish this publication in 10 different languages... I could save each file for each language, BUT the problem is, that the document contains graphics (vector and bitmap) so if you need to change a graphics card I have to change the same in 10 files (one file for each language).

  Can you help me on what would be the best solution for this? I tried to put the variables in the document and check it in XML, but I have to admit that's not very "elegant", since the pages have a lot of text on the subject. InDesign has better support for multilingual publication? If she has - how export file HAVE in InDesign by keeping all the graphics? Any other tool from Adobe would be better for this? I have the latest version installed so I Adobe CC subscription...

  It seems that your predecessor only knew how to use Illustrator and was unwilling to learn how to use the right program for this task.

  Establishment of a 200-page document 200 separate files HAVE is crazy. What happens when the additional text/images are added to a single page? It will not flow to the next page and the following pages need to be adjusted so that the changes to the original page.

  This must be set up in InDesign where adding or removing all items will reformat text document. You can also have images as objects anchored to flow with the text.

  Of course the text boxes must be linked, but this is just a practice. However, you would NOT link all 200 pages in a story (text block), bur rather break things up to chapters or positions where there is a natural pause of the material.

  If I understand correctly, you have this (actually 200 documents) document in a language?

  And now the client wants it translated and produced in 10 languages.

  Because of differences in language, some texts will be shorter or longer than the English original. Elements from one page to another of reflow is an absolute necessity in this case.

  The client provides the translated languages and will they be corrected by native speakers? Different languages have hyphenation rules, etc. that will act on the text.

  With 10 languages you can even make use of text Goes from right to left instead of left to right with the Western languages.

  You should post this question in the InDesign forum. There are experts who have been doing this for years and their advice would be invaluable.

• Art brush strokes in Illustrator CC glitching

  I bought a subscription to Illustrator CC a week ago, and it's been non-stop problems.

  After finally solving some problems with the time of execution and crashing, I am experiencing a little problem with my art brushes now. Whenever I use them, the race will be randomly pixelate/go off the trails. I only noticed it with my art brushes. My calligraphy brushes have no seeds.

  I have countless photoshop files that have vector smart objects. I used to double-click them, edit them in illustrator, save in illustrator, then back to photoshop with the updated file.

  Well, I don't want to edit in Photoshop. I want to edit in Illustrator as it s always summer.

  I went through all the options when I right click on the smart object I just pasted in photoshop, illustrator, but nothing.
