  I have a problem since the installation of El Capitan. When you use Adobe Illustrator CS5, any time I try to use the eyedropper tool, the program will crash as soon as I click on the object, I'm trying to copy the color of.

  So I'm not in love with my Macbook Pro for several reasons. However, I have a little money sunk in CS5 Web Premium, Acrobat 9 Pro, and first Elements 9. I wonder if I can just install Bootcamp to install Windows 7 and then install my Adobe side Windows programs? This is the same computer, after all. My licenses also Mac and Windows serial numbers list. I guess S/N, it's what I need to activate (IT's the first time for me).

  If your license is supplied with two series, then this would be possible, but don't forget that the activation of your Mac still counts and may need to be disabled in the long term to release for a second machine...

  I currently use InDesign CS6 and Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 on a Mac and I'm looking to upgrade to the full package of CC. However, I want to transfer my Adobe software existing from my Mac to my colleague Windows PC so that I can use the latest version and that he will use my what I have at the moment. The alternative is obviously my colleague just bought the last packet CC on his PC and I continue to use the older software. However, I use the software significantly more than my colleague, and so it makes sense for me to have the latest version, while the slightly older versions. I wanted to make sure it was possible to do before I went ahead with the purchase. Can anyone confirm that this is possible and relatively painless?

• Illustrator CS5 crashes when you start Mac OS Yosemite

  Hello Adobe forum.

  For the last few days I tried to fix my Illustrtator CS5 app, but it hangs during startup.

  I got a new Mac Book Pro. I transferred all my files and I did a clean install of my Adobe CS5 Suite Design premium. (I made sure it was disabled on my first computer laptop too)

  All CS5 applications works except Illustrator. I also made sure to be updated on the CS5.0.2 patch, removed the Preferences folder, deleted the cache of police... uninstall - reinstall -... and yet once again, but no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also here is the error report.

  That's what I would have recommended. Have you tried to update the plugin Extensis. In my view, that there is a new for Yosemite.

• Illustrator CS5 re - install error: Install.app cannot be opened.

  Hi all

  Has anyone ever seen this error when installing Illustrator CS5 on Mac OS X Lion?

  'Install.app' cannot be opened. You must eject the disk image.

  Things that could be related;

  (a) I've recently updated the hard drive. I have restored from a backup Time Machine

  (b) I had some oddities happen with illustrator in the last months. Yesterday I could not place graphics .png in a file, so I uninstalled everything and decided to reinstall from scratch.

  (c) my downloaded source (illustrator_15_1_LS1.dmg) is placed on a network volume. I assumed that the error meant that it was damaged so I downloaded the source again to Adobe. I get the same error on the file you downloaded recently.

  (d) in response to a suggestion in the forums, I tried disk utility > check the disk on my new hard drive. It found several permission errors that let him difficulty. The problem remains.

  I'd like suggestions on how I can solve this problem.

  Short answer: OS X 10.7.4 (or maybe before) introduced an incompatibility between the illustrators and Mac OS X installation file.

  Update to OS X 10.7.5 resolves this.

  I would say to try if you have not just first uninstall the suites if it is a folder called Adobe Installers in your Applications/Utilities and there is an application called Adobe Illustrator CS 5 installer or something like that and use this application to uninstall Illustrator

  Create a new account with administrator privileges, log into this account and then try to install AI CS 5

  If this does not work I say you have a dispute with a police or a corrupt system.

  I would like to reinstall the system.

  Several characters, for example, do not make the same as the original material.  I use Illustrator CS5 for Mac under OS X Yosemite (version 10.10.3).

  
  

  I read that the rendering engine for Mac is (or was) ATSUI while Microsoft use Uniscribe (which may be more compatible with the Adobe software) but all my computers are Mac.

  
  

  Any advice?

  I tested with Illustrator CC - 2014 PC with preferences > Type > Language Options > Show CL Options enabled and it seems to work fine. View Adobe Devanagari is assigned by default. (same result with Illustrator CC-2014 on Mac with Yosemite 10.10.3). It also works with Sanskrit 2003, which seems to be the font used in the online sample.

  

• Illustrator cs5.5 not install correctly

  My Illustrator CS5.5 has not installed correctly when I arrived three years ago and never needed it til now. Everything has been installed otherwise ok. I uninstalled then reinstalled... again, which seems ok, but when I open it it times out and I have to force quit. I moved the card in the folder away and it opened ok, so I moved plugins one-by-one backwards and it opened ok but no tool. I think I then tried to reinstall and error loading plugins came listing Art Brush tool.aipCalligraphy Brush tool.aipcolor harmony drop shadow and another8 points. I just need to be able to load and use my illustrator. Thank you

  (You can try 4) or perhaps rather 6) on the list.

  The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media, see below. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) (check the box to delete the preferences), run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) to uninstall and reinstall.
