iMac Virus - mid 2011 27 "running

I just wanted to draw the attention of the community, but we have been affected by a virus Trojan who went to wide July 8 and 9 crashing two cell phones and a friends PC.  Today, my computer 27 "mac laptop is down to a serious accident of the same characteristics of other accidents.  Can not restart even with a startup disk, press C.  Nothing.  It seems that the Trojan horse has been downloaded from legal documents we sent last summer and was created to be woken up two weeks ago. The oddity of all these computers crashing or nearly the same time is simply impossible.  Anyone with ideas on how to get up without jeopardizing my content? Here is what the screen looks similar, not sure if the virus has killed the car or what his done.

This picture has no value. It is much too small to read anything.

If you really think no matter what help you need to provide more and better.

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 - Intermittent problem with CPU fan running at full speed and sleep mode.

    Hello!

My iMac 27 "has an intermittent problem with the CPU fan runs at full speed. Sometimes it happens at the time when I start it, sometimes only in my session, and sometimes only after a certain time. So does seem to be a problem of "heating".

Second issue is with the mode 'sleep'. It may occur also at any time, at the start of the iMac, session, or after a certain time. But once he starts to go in mode 'sleep', when I wake up, it goes right back in mode after a few seconds and that it will continue indefinitely until I restart the computer.

    What could be?

  • Why my iMac (27 inch, mid 2011) cannot run Windows 10 in boot camp? And if he can't, he would work in something like parallels?

Why my iMac (27 inch, mid 2011) cannot run Windows 10 in boot camp? And if he can't, he would work in something like parallels?

To be honest, Windows 10 is compatible with your Mac, but Apple does not release from Windows 10 drivers for it. There are various guides on the Internet to install the drivers for Boot Camp Windows 10 even if your Mac is not supported, but follow them at your own risk (don't forget that you won't receive help to make).

However, you are free to run Windows 10 on a virtual machine. To do this, you can use Parallels, VMware or VirtualBox, but remember that a virtual machine will give you less performance than Windows natively on your iMac. Read-> Windows in BootCamp or Virtual Machine?

You should be able to, given the Mac Mini has the correct connections (in this case, a Thunderbolt connection).

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 hard drive failed, fan to full after the removal of HARD drive

    iMac (27 inch, mid 2011)

    2.7 Ghz i5

    12 GB of RAM

I have a fault where the HARD drive fan runs at max speed (RPM 5431, 51 * C temp).

The first symptom was a rattling noise from the factory 1 TB HARD drive, which has disappeared from the system, to be replaced by a disk of 4 GB in size. Then the fan started running at max speed.

A few months ago, I installed a 2nd drive HARD, an SSD and use this to all the data, so the 1 TB drive HARD original was basically unused and empty. To try and stop the fan and also run the disk diagnostics failed I've removed it from the iMac. However the HARD drive fan is always full.

I ran the Apple Hardware Test and received the error message: 4SNS/1/40000000: TH00 - 9,000

Given the primary SATA HDD is now removed, I also set the temperature probe? Are there other fixes to this problem of fan? I didn't intend on replacing the HARD disk immediately that this is not necessary at this stage.

    Thank you!

  • Work very well iMac 27 mid-2011 with 4MEM error code

Hi, I have an iMac 27 inches, mid-2011 with 4 GB installed original (Elpida so-DIMM) so I improve it with 4 new 4 GB Kingston (ram value) KVR1333 PC3-10600 1333 Mhz DDR3 DIMMS for a total of 16 GB, after that my iMac works very well for three years with the daily use of any question and everything seems normal in "about this Mac" and in the "memory" tab no software issues no kernel panic , anything with a strange behavior, until three years after the upgrade memory, now I run AHT because the other reason (I can't work with a new MBP Mid 2012 airdrop both with El Capitan OS X) and it shows me a 64/4MEM/40000000: 0x8893cb98 error code, I reset the NVRAM and SMC, and same result AHT , so use MemTest86 from a V6.3.0 of bootable CD (full test upward at the end time spent 23 hours) and V4.3.7 showing no error in the two tests, also I ran mdsched.exe RAM Memory Sticks Checker windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit family Premium installed in bootcamp) and no ram detected error.

While I should care that error? should I change my Ram modules?

    Thanks in advance

You have a faulty memory card or the slot. That's what the error means generally. Make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar for the service. If you need a Apple Store - find a store - Apple.

  • What is the maximum RAM for iMac 21 "mid 2011?

    Hello

According to the specifications of apple, there are 16 GB.

According to MacTracker: Maximum memory: 32 (real) 16 GB (apple)

    What does that mean?

When Apple released the iMac 21 inches mid 2011, Apple has tested the iMac with only 16 GB installed.

It is possible to increase the RAM up to 32 GB.

I don't mind which screen is the main.

  • Adding new RAM iMac 27 "mid-2011

    Hello

My iMac is very slow. I have 4 GB of internal RAM and you want to update. I'm not sure (without opening things), if the 4 GB of RAM is 2 x 2GB or just the only card of 4 GB.

Can I add 2 x 8 GB to the existing RAM to give me a total of 20 GB? Or can I add 2 x 4 GB to the existing RAM meet up with 12GB.

I'm continuing my mac to run CC photoshop, illustrator and indesign (usually all open at the same time).

What anti static should precautions I take?

You can check by yourself with the CrucialAdvisory tool, or OWC. They are two reliable suppliers. You could use an anti-static wristband, but who would exaggerate, IMO. I have never. It is really easy on an iMac.

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 does not start after that put 10.11.3 up-to-date.

    Hello

    Problem:

After you have decided my iMac demanded a critical software update, I've updated from El Capitan 10.11 to 10.11.3 today. From restarting after the update has been downloaded, computer crashes just after the start progress bar appears and begins to charge to the top.

He took a VERY long time to start correctly. And when I say a long time, I mean ALL DAY. Literally more than 8 hours. The progress bar is completed later, and after I expected the Mac starts in the login screen, it simply not and just sitting there, with a full load until the progress bar and the Apple logo.

    Nothing happened.

    What I've tried so far:

    • Reset the PRAM
    • Start in disk utility to perform first aid. Saying that the hard drive is fine and functional results.
    • Reset SMC
    • Impossible for some reason in Mode safe start?

What I am NOT prepared to do:

    • Reinstall a fresh OS X
    • Pay for it (I don't see how it's my fault, or that I should pay for it be repaired)
    • Extremely sensitive data loss

I'm absolutely about to lose my mind with this problem. How an update can destroy just a machine?

Someone has ideas on how else to go about fixing this?

I have been updated! This is pure madness!

    Yours in disappointment,

    W

    • Reinstall a fresh OS X - is perhaps not necessary.
    • Pay for it (I don't see how it's my fault, or that I should pay for it be repaired), it's your fault in a way, but you don't have to pay to fix.
    • Extremely sensitive data - loss if you kept backups that would not be a concern.

    Try this:

Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It will be slower than a normal startup.

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

Repair the hard drive and permissions - El Capitan

    HD recovery start:

Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until the menu screen appears.

    Repair

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. Disk utility charges and select Macintosh HD entry indented from the list on the left.  Click the first aid tab in the toolbar... If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then re-run first aid until no errors are reported. Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

Now, download and reinstall OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Combo Update.

  • Can I use an iMac 27 "mid-2011 in target Display Mode broken graphics card?

I inherited the iMac, and rather than buying a new graphics card, want to use it as a second monitor on my MacBook Pro, with thunderbolt. I tried to connect the iMac and MBP with a thunderbolt cable, but F2 command is not turn on/off the iMac in display mode. I'm doing something wrong?

I think that you need the graphics card to be able to use the TDM. You must also use a good video cable Thunderbolt such as those used with your other view.

  • Problem with upgrade RAM on iMac 21 ", mid-2011

    Hello

my iMac has 4 RAM slots. Already built in which 2x2gb. I have it decorated 2 x 4 GB.

After a while, I met a problem, a strange tone while booting, RAM failure signalling. I removed a RAM 2 GB module, my iMac worked well for overall with 10 GB of RAM, but more slowly. I bought another 2x4gb and wanted to improve the memory. Once the odd tone.

What really surprised me, that even I have exchanged only the remaining 2 GB module with a module of 4GB, even leading to the Strange tone (of course also two openings with 4 GB respectively). 2 former GB slots do not work with 4 GB of RAM modules, even if the capacity of the iMac is 16 GB.

I tried the Apple, no where to found error hardware test. I was carefully choosing compatible right modules RAM (Corsair DDR3, 1 333 Mhz).

    What's wrong with my iMac?

    Kind regards

    Bobby

  • Should what kind of memory card I buy for my iMac (mid 2011)?

I would like to increase the memory on my computer that I fight to run the programs I need on the current 4 GB.  I believe I have four slots in the rear of my machine (I could be wrong), adding memory to, but have no idea what to buy.  I would like to know what kind of memory card should I buy (or how), in the best place to buy.

  • What is the problem with my iMac mid-2011

    Hello

Need help find out what is the problem with my iMac to mid-2011.

Yesterday during a reboot it just never came to life.

On turning the power on, I get the RINGTONE to start and that's it. The screen is totally black. Nothing behind tried with a torch.

VRAM rearmament so far I tried repeatedly, unplug and plug, all kinds of combinations of keys in the carillon and nothing.

Connected to an external monitor and shows nothing of too - no signal.

Any way that I can know what is wrong with it before sending it to the service tech? I suspect bad graphics card but how do you ensure?

From what you describe, it looks like a hardware issue that Apple will only be able to resolve, but not to despair immediately.

Read it please get help with graphics issues on external displays connected to your Mac - Apple Support.

I know that the title and subject are not suitable to your concern, but buried in this document is the following passage that contains three links describing the steps to follow.

If you can not change the resolution of your screen because you see no image, restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

That first, then write again for additional suggestions if you are still having problems.
