Image resizing
Hello
I'm trying to reduce the size of data and the resolution of the photos before you send them to a server via xhr. In fact, I have a function that loads and converts the file in a hexadecimal string, but without further conversion.
What function can I use to resize the image at a lower resolution like 640 x 480? ImageConverter? I'm a regular web developer with almost no experience in C++.
Any idea?
QString ApplicationUI::imgConverter(QString fn){ QString workingDir = QDir::currentPath(); QString imgUrl = workingDir + "/shared/camera/" + fn; QFile file(imgUrl); QByteArray img; if(file.exists()){ // Datei konnte geöffent werden if (file.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly)) { img = file.readAll(); file.close(); } } QString imgtxt(img.toHex()); return imgtxt; }
Best
Tom
You can try and search the Forum.

Problem running: MS Windows XP Powertoys Image Resizer
I'm trying to find a family for Windows XP Edition download image resizer app. The version of my house drawing program has a good, but I would like another. Microsoft PowerToys Image Resizer for Windows XP seems to be. I went to many sites above with successful download, but I don't end up with an application that I can run. The first attempt gave me no office and a reading of the file icons in the menu all programs. Those and the usual .exe, Setup and application that have been revealed after searching for «resizer» files I opened these and choose run and install requested but I get nothing after that, just re-written on first downloads. I see nothing in any folder or on the desktop or the taskbar that will launch this app after several downloads with success of many Web sites. A couple of times, all I found myself with after that a download is complete was a registration page for Facebook and twitter. I still right click on an image, assuming that the app was running in the background, but the appropriate window does not appear.My first attempt from Microsoft - Windows XP PowerToys picture Resizer website. Seems no matter where I download that get an application that won't run.I am probably missing something here. Please enlighten me.Hello
Take a look on the following article, this can help you:
Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/
Thanks JohnsonRobert. I ran the foregoing Fixit who found a registry problem - it fixed.Successfully the application - I downloaded and then (once again) with the same results. It keeps openinga new tab for Waljam (I think that's it) saying that HE is the Downloader for Power Toys Image Resizer I just downloaded. It's the Facebook/Twitter login page. Installing and running is going alright movements (windows for the installation, run, agreements policy, express or custom install..), but all I get in the end is a readme at the bottom of my departure - list all programs. Try to launch directly from the icon in its folder gives the same results. Just rewritten during the first installation.This is the page that I am downloading. I tried other sites - the same results.===============================================================
On the site you posted... do a right click text... Image Resizer...In the menu... Choose... Save target as...
Choose "desktop".
Left click of the... button "Save..."
The uploaded file must be a 520KO file named "ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe".
Create a system restore point and then double left click the file downloaded to install it.
Still no dice. All goes well, the only thing different became an icon of the desktop configuration. Double left click that gave the same result that I got before - a window asking to run or cancel. This installs but does not work. I get this window same no matter how I try to access the program. By clicking on run just re - installed on the last of them with no way to run the program. Still just a Readme in the menu Start - menu all programs. It is as if it is zipped and there is no way to unzip it. It's like the download only contains a Readme file - even if other files see the place in a search.
I'm more curious than anything else at this point. My XP paint will do, but have to go through a couple of windows - I think that the Image Resizer has all in one window.Thanks for your help on this. I'll tinker with it later. Thanks again.============================================

Hi all
I downloaded an image from a URL and I want to display on my BB screen. I want to get the image resized before displaying on the screen. I wrote the code, but it is cropped horizontally and vertically. How can I get the image resized by preserving its quality? I want the new width of my image also as (screen width - 20) / 3 and height as something like original image height / 3 I post my code here
public static Bitmap resizeImage(Bitmap originalImage, int newWidth, int newHeight) { Bitmap newImage = new Bitmap(newWidth, newHeight); originalImage.scaleInto(newImage, Bitmap.FILTER_BILINEAR, Bitmap.SCALE_TO_FILL); return newImage; }
Thank you and best regards.
Replace Bitmap.SCALE_TO_FILL by Bitmap.SCALE_STRETCH solved the problem.
Thank you.

Workflow / Image Resizing Question
Hoping someone can help me with a question of image resizing.
I want to start an online store. I wish I could sell the same image on a t-shirt and a poster. I'll probably use Print will print/performance. They require the images to print at 300 dpi and be sized correctly. Thus, an image to print on their standard t-shirt (12 "x 16" (1.333:1)) must be 3600 x 4800 pixels.) ") To be included on their greatest poster (24.5 "x 36.5" (~1.5:1)), the same image should be 7350 x 10950 pixels.
If I set my camera to produce a larger image, I get 6016 x 4000 pixels (~1.5:1). To maintain optimum image quality, I think I should treat this image in PS to create a main folder. I can then Downsample to create a t-shirt 3600 x 4800 image and pace to create a larger image and posters.
Alternatively to pace process first of all, the image of the poster, and then downsample from there, in the image of t-shirt 3600 x 4800 pixels. This seems like it might be problematic.
Another alternative would be to cadence to the poster image, downsample the image of t-shiirt, and then process each image separately. To optimize the images CMYK will print requires, I will probably need to do a separate processing (twisting) for each image in any case, but do completely separate treatment for each image is a lot more work. Any advice?
When you use Image pro script processor you source image file should be your camera file. Here's the best pixels you have for your image. All image output processing start with these pixels for each file will be saved... Your output image are always interpolated from these pixels. You don't have to resize the image, you can save the Pixels camera provides.
The way of working scripts of image processors are. They open an image source file in a document. Duplicate this document and treat the fooled until what he records and produces an output file for the document. Then he closes the dupe and repeated the dupe and process until all output files are saved to the image processing. Then the script closed the original document, that it opened without saving it. The script then move to the next image file to process. When all output images are only save the last open image document is closed and the script is done.
You can include an action for each file in output production, The Image these action begins by still isn't the pixels of the source image and image that was treated for other output files. You can have the action executed before or after any resizing you do not have the script. Once again, resize is optional. You don't have to do the desired resizing script, you can if you want to perform the resizing in the actions that you use in the treatment of the output image.
There is no problem in maintaining its quality. Quality only depends on how you treat the pixels of the original source image to preserve the quality that you first for each output image...
Photoshop menu File > Automate > Image Processor Pro... Here the dialog box, you will see
Very flexible, you can save as many image files that you need for each Image processing.

New to Captivate - Image Resize
Hello
I just started with Captivate and have version 8. Previously, I used PowerPoint 2010 and find that there are not only the same edit capabilities with images. Are there instructions I'm missing that will allow me to simply resize an image without distortion or jpg? Even if I resize outside Captivate and bring through the media the image resizes. I do not use Photoshop so hope for simple solutions. Thank you.
Hello
To resize images without distorting them, you must make sure that adjust you the width and height of the same amount.
If you're one who likes to resize using the click and drag method, press in and hold the SHIFT key as you click and drag a resize handle.
If you prefer using the properties panel, you must check the "keep the Proportions" option is enabled.
See you soon... Rick

It seems that wrapped text will not host photo resizing without cutting and pasting the image resized, is - what the Muse way is suppose to work?
It would be the default path to wrap the text with the image when you work in Design view.
This document explains more:

I have not been here before.
For some reason any crazy when I try to save an image resized with a different dpi, PS6 says I saved.
But if I'm going to re - open the same image, its in a different (but proportional) size and its original dpi.
I also have the PS3 and if I open the image resized in the PS3, it opens in the new correct size and the new DPI!
What is the problem with my SP6?
Apparently her you open cab (and the resolution is there, in the blue link under the main image window).
The default value of the cab was 240, now it is 300.

I load an image in a sprite:
var loader: Loader = new Loader();
addChild (loader);
Loader.Load (new URLRequest ("ball.png"));
But if I try to resize the sprite image is the same size and width of the sprite Zero reports. If I add graphics as in:
graphics.beginFill (color);
graphics.drawCircle (0,0,radius);
graphics.endFill ();
var loader: Loader = new Loader();
addChild (loader);
Loader.Load (new URLRequest ("ball.png")); :
I can then resize the sprite and size of changes of the image accordingly and the width of the sprite is as expected. Why? How can I image resize if the Sprite is scaled without addition of graphics (which are not mandatory).your image is not resize in the movieClip that you apply to the width and height so that the image is not completely loaded into the movieClip.
Once the image is completely loaded, the movieClip get the properties of the image width/height, forget those that tell him to use.If you want to resize your image, you must:
-Wait until it completely loaded before applying with s / height properties.
or
-use the _xscale and _yscale properties each time (they can be applied and remembered even if the image is not completely loaded) -
Automatic image resizing - small for the size of the window
When you view a stand-alone image too large to fit in the window, Firefox it is automatically resized.
That is fine, but I'm on small images most of the time. Have to zoom in manually the image each time to get around window size is very tedious, and I would avoid the rigmarole.
Expansion Image Autosizer for Opera has the function I'm looking for, but I couldn't find an equivalent for Firefox.
I wrote a user script (for use with Scriptish).
- It automatically zooms in small images.
- Left click the image, it returns to its original size.
- Left click again of will zoom in again (useful for example if you maximize the window to get a better view, after the image has already been automatically zoomed in).
- By default, this script does not on URLs without an extension of image (like this comic) file. These URLS can be added manually in Scriptish preferences for the script.

I guess since I have not received all the suggestions, I'll mark this as the solution.
