Images in the clipping in Illustrator CC mask missing in PDF

I've attached a screenshot of a thumbnail of a pdf that I got from a printer. The red zone is supposed to contain an image. I have cultivated the image using a clipping mask. There are several pages where my cut image is missing (see another screenshot - it is not red in the second picture, because it is not a miniature), but there are a few pages where an image cut is not missing.

When I opened the pdf file there is a message indicating an error exists in the page. I do a correlation that the error is related to my clipping mask images.

Anyone has any ideas for troubleshooting?

In fact, the problem rested in the transmission of the file to the printer. The printer should return the pdf I by Member. Somehow the file acquired errors because of the way in which it was transmitted.

  • Why the clipping in illustrator mask does not work for me?

    I have a vector skull and bone crossed on top of several images. I want the images to become the shape of the skull and bone crossed, so I have them under the skull of vector in the layer group and I select the skull and the images and go to object > clipping mask > Make, but he makes everything disappear. All that I got is the invisible contour of the skull. This is supposed to be so easy, and I'm extremely frustrated! I use illustrator CS4 if that helps any.

    Sara,

    What happens if you:

    (1) select all / any mutually overlapping bony parts and Pathfinder > unit.

    (2) select all parts of the os and the object > compound path > make.

    (3) select all and object > clipping mask > make?

    The outlines of the blue block appear when I copy my simple vector illustration and paste it into InDesign. I tried to, but I'm losing a lot of detail. How can I get rid of the frames?

    You see the edges when you deselect the option? It seems that yoou see the bounding box, which will be for each object.

    And you don't lose detail when plaicng an file, even if your preiew cannot show it. are you affect the performance of high quality display? the default setting is typical, which is a proxy low resolution.

  • How do I loop back to the first image of the last frame?

    Hello

    I am currently working on the framework for a product Viewer.

    I have:

    a clip called "viewer_mc", which contains the images taken from different angles of the product. The actionscript code generates a script on the last frame of which returns to frame 1.

    a button instance called "autoplay_btn", which plays in the music video of whatever the current image is and stops on image 1.

    a left and right button are used to move the clip from the film frame, to give the appearance that the product is running.

    I managed to make him:

    having the clip play through both, return to section 1 and stop.

    have functions return button when held down, move the image in the clip using nextFrame and prevFrame commands. Right-click successfully continues a loop round the frame 1 and continues operation to give the impression of rotation.

    The last problem I do experience becomes the left button to act accordingly, ranging from the first frame to the last and continues to operate.

    Here are my actionscript so far:

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    var lastFrame:Number = viewer_mc.totalFrames;

    var thisFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;

    var backFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame - 1;

    1. This is the part that gets to play through once before returning to the first image. I think that maybe the problem which I am facing is because of the part "viewer_mc.addFrameScript (lastFrame-1, initially)", that is even if I am now the left button, returning to this script and therefor have bounced back immediately to the first frame. However, there is no flickering on the screen that you would expect if that were the case

    Note: as this is a viewer of generic product that I can use as a template I use lastFrame etc. as opposed to the entry of the value in

    function initially () {}

    viewer_mc.gotoAndStop (1);

    }

    viewer_mc.addFrameScript (lastFrame-1, initially);

    2. it is the functionality for the autoplay_btn that will play through a rotation / return the Viewer to the initial view (front) of the product (fig. 1).

    autoplay_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, autoplay);

    function autoplay (ev:MouseEvent): void {}

    var startFrame:Number = viewer_mc.currentFrame;

    viewer_mc.gotoAndPlay (startFrame);

    };

    3. it is the right key functionality, which once held, moves the clip to the next section via the function "rotateRight" based on the order "nextFrame. It loops back rounded up to the first image due to the 'viewer_mc.addFrameScript (lastFrame-1, initially)"script generated on the last frame of the clip you want.

    right_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, rightDown);

    function rightDown(e:Event) {}

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stoprightDown); Wait for the mouse upward on the stage, in the case where the finger/mouse moved out of the button accidentally when they release.

    addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, rotateRight); While the mouse is down, run the function check once each image according to the frame rate of project

    }

    function stoprightDown(e:Event):void {}

    removeEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, rotateRight);  stop the execution of the function check each image now that the mouse is in place

    stage.removeEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stoprightDown); remove the mouse listener to the top

    }

    function rotateRight(e:Event):void {}

    viewer_mc.nextFrame ();

    }

    4. This is the feature of the left button, which once held, moves the clip on the framework of prev function «rotateRight' based on the «prevFrame» order And that's where the rub, because while it works to get the movieclip to frame 1, it loops round to the last image and continue to operate, as you want.

    left_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, leftDown);

    function leftDown(e:Event) {}

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stopleftDown); Wait for the mouse upward on the stage, in the case where the finger/mouse moved out of the button accidentally when they release.

    addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, rotateLeft); While the mouse is down, run the function check once each image according to the frame rate of project

    }

    function stopleftDown(e:Event):void {}

    removeEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, rotateLeft);  stop the execution of the function check each image now that the mouse is in place

    stage.removeEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, stopleftDown); remove the mouse listener to the top

    }

    I guess that's probably my logic for this part that's really let me down - I can make a similar function in actionscript 2, but am trying to learn actionscript 3 just to evolve with the times in some way and a little hard. Again, this is only a few days!

    function rotateLeft(e:Event):void {}

    {if(thisFrame==1)}

    gotoAndStop(viewer_mc.totalFrames-1);

    } else {}

    viewer_mc.prevFrame ();

    }

    }

  • Objects of the library in Illustrator CC 2015 NOT clipping masks?

    The functionality of dynamic links in Illustrator CC 2015 library is cool. However, our internal wired kit includes a number of model objects that are used at best when they can be dragged and edited as a specific instance. The process was EASY on the iteration of 2014. Unfortunately, now, all the objects are nested inside the clipping masks, requiring at least 4 distinct steps to clean before they can be customized.

    Is this a bug? Can it be fixed?

    Thank you!

    Try to use the Opt (Alt) key when you drag.

    What does it mean when the Selection tool in illustrator has a small white box or black next to the pointer?  I did a clipping of an object mask and now can't move and selection pointer has small box beside him.  Yet to learn...

    When it is over an unselected path or shape (as in, something that you can select if you click right here), it shows a black box. When you're not selected anchor, it shows a white box.

  • Seamless pattern - using the images inlaid with clipping masks

    Hi forum,

    We struggle a little create a seemless repeating the pattern that includes the images integrated with cutting applied masks.

    Our model is a 550x550mm black square with various embedded inserted on top. All these images have the applied clipping mask to hide unwanted areas.

    These images are placed so that they create a pattern repeated seamless and that includes areas that overlap instead.

    Once we create a nuance of this model the repeatable area becomes too large because it contains unwanted areas hidden by the clipping masks.

    Because the reproducible area is now too large, it is actually not repetitive.

    We tried various things in order to solve this problem. Pathfinder/harvest to remove unwanted areas from images etc.

    None of them worked pretty well.

    We of livetracing just the images, but the complexity is not an option.

    Really we do our 'cut' in Photoshop or you know tricks of fantasy for problems of this kind?

    Appreaciate your insight

    Kenneth

    Kenneth,

    Try the destructive Act, with the selected clipping mask:

    (1) in the transparency palette/Panel drop-down list choose anything but Normal (Multiply is fine),

    (2) object > flatten transparency, just keep the defaults including 100% vector,.

    (3) thrill.

    This should reduce the size of the Clipping Path bounding box.

  • Snap the clipping on the grid mask

    Hey Merry Xmax to all the world,

    I have a clipping on an image mask so that I can hide a part of the image. Now if I try to break the masked image Illustrator will use the image adjusted limits (i.e. the hidden part of the image) as a reference to align everything. The result is that the image itself always end badly aligned with the grid. In order to solve that I have to manually enter the correct values in the transform Panel, which is a pain. Is this expected behavior? If so, I don't see any point of it. Or maybe I'm missing some preference?

    Find attached a screenshot illustrating the problem, note how the hidden part of the image is perfectly aligned with the grid so that the mask (the visible part of the image) is misaligned.

    grid.png

    rsantiago,

    What happens if you view > Snap to Grid checked (you can check the object selection by path only in the General preferences) and then with the Selection tool:

    1) click on the clipping mask.

    (2) move the cursor to be close to the desired angle, Point anchor, but just outside the image.

    (3) click to deselect it, and then move the slider (align and follow the side of the image which is indicated by a full rectangle then) snap up the angle which is indicated by a rectangle hollow, then ClickDrag to the desired grid intersection/place?

    Should allow you to drag all through the corner of the desired image. You can see when you click to ClickDragging star.

    With path only, you can follow the side (vertically or in the past), without it you is perhaps inside the image so that you can go to the outside and to the up/down, to hit the corner.

    You can only fix this if cut out you the image in Photoshop and place in Illustrator without a clipping mask

  • Help to recreate the effect of shadow cast by the clipping mask

    Is there a few months, I created the image attached. Today, for the life of me I can not create a similar effect, where the shadow text source the clipping mask. Whenever I try to follow the same steps and the layer styles, that I get a normal black shadow not a shade that comes from the clipping mask as in my example. Help please I'm driving myself crazy!

  • edge of the visible images through the mask

    I do a screen split using position, a solid black layer effect and masks and for some reason that the edges of one of the clips and the black solid layer are appearing through the mask like what seems to be 1 width in pixels. It appears in the record.  You can see that the two lines just to the left of his head. What I am doing wrong?

    bad mask.jpg

    So it turns out that this is a bug and is also a novelty, I arrived just to never try until the day where it became available, no wonder no one could help me with it, it has never existed before! Now in the cropping effect, there are a few form buttons that will make masks. However if move you the position of the image, it only covers the last width in pixels of the image. BUT! If you make a 2nd mask then lay on this line annoying that it will remove. I guess they'll fix that in a patch later.
