Images of masking of blackBerry Smartphones

I look at a some photos on my blackberry and accidentally by selecting the option 'Hide' and the image is gone and I don't know how to "unmask" the picture so I can see it again. Does anyone know how to post a photo?

Hello!

Yes... it happens... from your homescreen, to do this:

Media > BBKey > Explore > BBKey > Show Hidden > place in the folder you need > highlight (but do not click on) hidden the file > BBKey > properties > uncheck "Hidden" ticbox

See you soon!

On the one hand, I advise you to put a media card quickly, or you will suffer from problems of memory device low.

You need to download and install Desktop Manager with the Media Manager software.

Your phone came with a software to install the Desktop Manager, you must install it and make sure that you install the aswell of media. This will give you the "Roxio Media Manager" that will allow you to move photos between your PC and your phone. If in case, you do not have this software,

This new 9350 curve of love. Coming from a droid to Samsung Galaxy S, it's such an improvement.

The curve is fine except that I can't send a picture in a text.

I can email them, send to Twitter and Facebook but no texting.

All text without images work fine. It is kind of a big deal for me as I do a lot.

    Any ideas?

Sprint is the carrier. I have the plan.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider to support formal... "Everything" is a marketing term, not something technical on what services you actually have of them (not all the "Everything" plans are created equal!). And, if you pay them for this service, they are not of it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones HTML Email 'Automatically download Images' does not work

I use the BIS service with 4 separate emails, (paid 1, 2 free on the web and 1 BB email) using a Blackberry Storm 9530 with Verizon Wireless service...

I have this setting enabled for all of my emails, to automatically download images and display in HTML... but no email no. Everyone I get I have to manually, select options and upload pictures! How can I fix this?

    Hello!

    See this KB:

    • KB15254 How to configure HTML email support on the BlackBerry smartphone email

It sounds like you already have the correct settings. But, at the bottom of this KB is a statement about the external link images... If the image is linked to the outside rather that integrated, you will still need to manually get the image.

    Hello agogoman,

    Welcome to the forums.

What happens when you try to upload a picture? You get an error message? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall Facebook® for BlackBerry® smartphones application?

  • Images of blackBerry Smartphones 8530 cannot see attached... Sounds like a common problem.

    Hello

I couldn't seem to find the information just help me with this.  I have attached a simple small .jpg file and sent the new BB 8530 Sprint phone to use as a wallpaper.

The attachment is a file "Winmail.dat."  I downloaded the file to what I thought me the photo folder, but it does not appear.

    (1) is there a setting that would automatically show attached pictures like on my old Tmobile Blackberry? (As a series of 8320)

... If I have to "Download Images" manually every time I take this thing (actually 3 of them) back in the Sprint and going back to Tmobile.

    Thanks for your help!

    RP

You send a JPG file, not RTF files.

You're Outlook is coding the attachment incorrectly. I get that from time to time, when the staff of my office sent me a picture, it happens very often to those sent from Macs.

It is not a question of "download images" setting on your BlackBerry. No related.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not upgrade world BB (I think)

A few weeks when starting AppWorld on my phone, it said I needed to upgrade my AppWorld/world software.  I went through a process of downloading, including the signing of an agreement of the user, who probably took care of him.

But I don't, because I didn't take over the world.  Here's what I'm trying to start:

Press App World icon in the home screen

Message appears: "to continue using Blackberry App World, you need to upgrade your current version. ..."

    Select [update]

A web page loads up, that resembles http://appworld.blackberry.com, except that do not load images

And here I go, because I do not know what, if anything, I have to have from there.

    I have a Blackberry 8350, and the OS is (I guess)? 5.0.0.601.

    Help please?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

  • Screen problem touchscreen blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Storm2 9550

    Hello!

I am a Sri Lanakan. Last week, I bought a Blackberry Storm2 9550 used, eBay (from a seller of e. u.). All the functions work fine except the touch screen. Can press on the touchscreen. (edges and around the screen) But he get caught suddenly, and also when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon. (as axample, when am pressing contacts in the home screen, phone highlights two contacts and sms). As I suppose, at this time there the phone detects it as multi touch and so I can't support what either. When am reset (battery pull) the phone, it solves the issue for a few minutes or hours, subsequently faced the same question.

I tried to fix it by putting a piece of paper to the battery cavity, but nothing has changed.

My storm is an unlocked phone (Comes to Verizon, but later unblocked), which is running version 5 software. ...... . 713 fact in Mexico 5.

I want also to the last update available for my phone and how to update.

You have other ideas on my problem touch screen? This is the main question, I want to solve as soon as possible. Do I need to fix it with a spacialist? Is it a hardware failure or a software? He solved by upgrading my version of software or restore to the factory settings.

None of these remedies could work. Without practice, it is impossible for me to know anything 100%. The best advice I can give you is to upgrade your operating system to the latest version (. 1015). It could very well be that, as a device, it was damaged by the previous owner and it will never work for you. As I say, it is impossible to tell at this distance-internet.

    madhava909 wrote:

What is the meaning of the hard reset? It is equal to pull the battery?

In my opinion, Yes, but there are others in the world who think differently. The best reference is the official:

    • KB02141 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone

Most of us who have dealt with this for awhile understand that power should be turned on when you pull the battery.

    madhava909 wrote:

Once again, it's impossible to say at this internet distance.

    madhava909 wrote:

Hereby, I have attached an image. Please answer those as well.

The first (top right) is the GPS indicator... I do not exactly remember what icon the way that... I suggest that get you the the user guide for your BB from here:

The other appears only if your carrier has eliminated an update wireless for you. You say that it is the "best way" for you... I would add that this is the MOST DANGEROUS way. You see, via this method update, on the device of data backup is taken, that is rendered after the update (the update effectively wipe everything). This backup is a file use 1... If something is wrong in the upgrade process, all your data is lost forever. The update method that I gave you is the best method that 1) it tells you first take a manual backup and 2) the process itself will also take another backup... and both of these backup files are stored on your PC and can later serve as a source of food since they are not 1-use files.

    madhava909 wrote:
Pls send me a link if you can, to download the latest update.

You have already the link... it's in the instructions I have given to perform the update... This is the portal of official download for all carriers. Simply, you browse to the carrier of your choice and download their bundle of BONES for your model number.

You can also benefit from this:

And also the public KB that I often mention... they are fully searchable by you... you don't need do me research for you:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry 9380 no option "send via bluetooth".

am I missing something? It drives me crazy. I can very well receive files, just cat find a simple way to send files via bluetooth. Even when I goto the send option I get only send by e-mail, etc.

    I'm on 7.0 Bundle 2220 (v7.0.0.513, platform 9.32.0.51)

To do a firmware update or install something? I think its stupid how he does not come with this option as standard, I have also checked my sisters bb torch, which doesn't have the option

Hello and welcome to the community!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

If your device is non - BB, then substitute in the KB, the instructions appropriate for your device. Unless you're on BB OS 6 or 7, do not skip the step of "Receive using BlueTooth" on the receiver BB... nothing will transfer if you do. I can tell you that on my BB, if I navigate to a file (for example, image, etc, using Homescreen > media > > explores), and then when I press on the key, I have available ' Send', with 'BlueTooth' as one of the submenu selections... so I'm not sure why yours does not. Maybe if you detail the steps that you try, we might be able to spot something.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones something happening to my text messages.

Hello.  I'm new here and this is my first post.

Last week, I receive text messages that disappear before I had the chance to read.  In addition, people have told me they sent me text messages, but I never.  I sent text messages to myself from another phone just to confirm that I am receiving them and that they are removed until I get to read.  Even when I delete everything in my Inbox, I still have the same problem.  My phone also receive emails and SMS.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

You are facing constraints of memory in your device. Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

    Check the below knowledge base-

Call logs and SMS disappear when the BlackBerry smartphone is low on memory

E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not download applications

Hello, I recently brought the new 9320. I have the card memory base San Disk that come with the Blackberry. Also, as soon as I put the phone I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Support software. The desktop software and storage on the phone at the same time options I have a 14.4 MB remaining on the phone storage and 1.4 GB left on my memory card. When I try to download apps on the phone via my WiFi it is said that there is not enough remaining space. I guess that the phone will only attempt to download the application in the device memory. Is it possible that I can get the phone to automatically download the application directly on my memory card? Or is there another problem that prevents me download apps?

    Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (the BONE itself more certain applications storage, overhead and such). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

Thus, issues of the app, it is a question of AppMemory... Please see the information above in order to maximize the amount of free AppMemory on your BB. If your particular model of BB has a limited amount of total AppMemory, then you must understand the mixture of 'must have' for you and then give priority to your "optional elements" in order to charge as much as you can, sacrifice these things of lower priority.

    Good luck!

    Hello...
