IME 7.0.1 disk space management

Hello

Someone has any idea how to clear old newspapers, tables and server (not on the sensor itself) IME events

as he collected 13 GB of data under C:\Program Cisco IPS Manager Express\MYSQL\data\alarmDB Systems\Cisco

I adjusted the values for archiving in the tools-> preferences-> Data Archives, but how to get rid of an existing files

in this folder.

Thanks in advance,

Oleg

Oleg,

You can stop the service of the EMI and then delete the contents of the following directory:

Cisco Systems of C:\Program Systems\Cisco IPS Manager Express\MYSQL\data\alarmDB

The above is if IME is installed in the default location. The directory alarmDB contains all data. I would say to copy try it and archive it somewhere in case you want to never watch it later. Once the alarmDB is allowed to come out you can start the service from the EMI again.

Thank you

I have a Studio 1535.  The Manager space drive says that Go 149.4 is "not monitored".  I don't know what that means - or how to fix it - but I guess that explains the inability to update programs and periodic bogged down (not completely, but temporarily freeze gel).  In fact, I just hit the scan button and now it's up to 127.5.  What now?  I have only 8.9 GB of free space (and I shouldn't really have if little - I'm not a mega music or user photo).  Thank you very much!

    Hello

I understand that your backup disk is saturated on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.  Here are links that will help you manage the backup disk space:

Also, the Windows 8.1, you can use file history cleaning to remove older Versions of files. Follow these steps:
    a. open the Control Panel (display the icon) and click on the file history.

    b. on the left of the file history window, click avancΘs.

    c. under the link of section, click on the cleaning of the versions of Advanced settings .

    d. in the drop-down menu, select the exact age that you want to remove the versions of files and records, then click Cleans toward the top.  Follow the instructions on the screen.

  • Question on the available disk space on the Satellite Z930

I'm new on this Yes, you can not shoot me down if this is a stupid question. I just bought a new ultrabook Z930. Storage space announced was 125 GB (drive C is only show 100 GB available). Only, I installed MS Office Standard 2007, Norton anti virus and printer drivers.

However, I now only 65GB of disk space, and I do not think that these applications take 35 GB. I removed the shadow at all.
Can someone give me some advice please?

Unfortunately we can not see info exact drive HARD, but maybe you saw something wrong.
Check please Disk management in the computer management options and you can see all the information base on the HARD disk and each partition of HARD drive.

I can imagine that this 35 GB is total data backed up on some partition that contains the operating system and all the stuff pre-installed.

  • Satellite L650/OED - out of disk space

    Hello

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L650/OED, and stated in the specifications, storage is 640 GB, but the only hard drive in my computer after I first initalized, it is only 583GB, what's missing?

And I have read the user menu and found that there is a recovery partition which has been hidden, so how can I find this partition?

It seems that the default setting for this laptop is that there is only one disk hard C, but no other disk dirve D or E. So, how can I protect my files once I need to reformat the C?

    Thank you

    Hi TYQ,.

I think the problem is that you always less disk space that you can find on the specifications on the HARD drive. On Wikipedia, there is an interesting article on the measures of capacity:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive#capacity

As you can see, everything is ok with your disk ;)

With regard to the recovery partition: you should see when you go into Windows disk management. But if you remove it, you aren't able to use HARD drive recovery.

Hello. My Mac (Macbook Air 2013) started crashing, most often when I have 3 + tabs open in Chrome, or when I play Football Manager and have Chrome open, as if it's getting overworked. Normally I could easily do this, and I've done it since I got my Mac. But suddenly he crashes, freezes and shuts down, and when I reboot I get this message before you start: it is said: trace file error Coretelephony a file for coretelephony tracing operation failed, you might run out of disk space.

I have 56 GB / 120 GB left, it makes no sense.

Someone had the same problem, or maybe a solution? Thank you.

  • Question: How can I change disk space for partitioned disks?

I'm having a problem using top too much disk space on my (vista) C drive on my satellite L500, now that I've filled with iTunes music files. I want to use a part of the E drive to 'Add' on the C drive space. Is this possible?

Also, could I just use the E-drive to add anyway, if I told iTunes to look for a few songs and C E for others? E has special properties like the recovery partition that can complicate things?

    Thanks if anyone can help!

    Paul

    Hello

1 delete all the files and unnecessary programs from the disk: C to the freed space.
    2. move all the movies, photos, music on the disk E;
    3. If you use the Download Manager to download files, you can change the path where to save the downloaded files in your local case: E

You can change the size of the partition in administrative tools in Control Panel. However, I prefer to use a partition manager paragon to resize partitions on my computers. Before add/create partitions, make sure that you have made a recovery disk.

  • In time real PXI-1031 does more work with labview. "Not enough disk space to perform the backup.

The labview real-time project was working until a few weeks ago and the only error that is displayed on the PXI is this error message.

"NEITHER Configuration Manager: not enough disk space for the backup" everything before that looks like it starts very well. Recently, I removed the hard drive and remove the 4 GB network log file because it seemed to me that a file of 4 GB on a fat32 file system was probably the cause of the problem. After that it the project worked when I tested it, but others in my lab said it was broken again the next day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I don't know all that equipment.

I found that I had "reset IP" set to "yes" in the bios that seemed to be causing my problem because I changed it to no and it seems to work perfectly now. Sorry that it took so much time to understand and I feel like a fool.

    Hi jafrin.michel,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community.

Before you start the troubleshooting steps, I need the information required.

    Method 1:

If you are using windows 7, I suggest to perform a disk cleanup and verify.

  • Cannot free up disk space on drive c.

    Hello

I have an older version of Windows XP on my computer and despite the use of the function of disk cleanup, add/remove programs functions and Windows components, so to try to defragment the computer, I receive the message that the computer is low disk space.  I took all the programs that I don't use and attempted to take off from documents unnecessary, games, etc., as well, but when I check the C: drive on the 'Properties' tab, it shows almost the entire hard drive used.  I do not know what but because I even do not play a lot of games on it, have images or music programs and I can't understand what is on the hard drive of the computer.  If it of the adware or spyware, I can not say because when I tried to install an adware/spyware detector, he cannot do that because there is not enough disk space!  Obviously, something takes all the space, but how I tell me what it is and more important still, how do I get my computer?  Thank you.

I have this problem as well, and the question is larger than what these people are saying. If you open the folder and ctrl + a to select all, then go to properties, it will show that the contents of the folder is only about 5 or 6 concerts, 7 on it. the other 60 + concerts which takes the file are mysteriously non-existent. I have no idea what is causing this problem, but I can promise you that no amount of deletion it will manage because the memory is not be overtaken by what is actually stored on your computer.

It sounds like you're looking in a directory (folder) that includes hidden files and hidden folders.  What is the name of the "folder" you are watching?

While you have the mystery open in Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options.  Select the view tab.  Scroll down and select the option "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck the box (a little further down) to "Hide protected operating system files."  Click OK.

The "disappeared" 60 GB now appears?

    See http://www.edbott.com/weblog/2005/05/tip-of-the-day-show-hidden-files-with-a-simple-script/

I suggest that you cancel the above changes when you are finished.

If you still can't find the missing stuff, download and run JDiskReport.  This will show you what takes up space on your hard drive.

  • What is the key of registry or files to change the option of the disk space to files offline in windows xp and 8

    Hello

will someone please solve my problem which is the key to registry or files will effect when we change the amount of disk space used to store in the offline files option when we go to control pane--> sync--> manageofflinefiles 8 victory while this option is not in the options of folders in Windows XP

    Hello

    Thanks for asking!

If I understand correctly, you want that registry key is responsible for the amount of storage on the disk space for offline files.

I suggest you to visit these links and check if it helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/manage-disk-space-for-offline-files  (Applicable for Windows Xp)

For the registry key, see this.

It describes the registry key that defines the value for an amount of
    storage for use offline files:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Lack of available disk space; does not recognize that I have deleted files

Today I found out, I had 2 GB left on my hard drive 150 GB (Windows XP Home edition, HP mini, purchased mid-2010).  I deleted about 20 GB of different files is no longer needed.  The properties of my C drive still say it be only 2 GB of free space, as if these files have not been deleted.  How can I force to actually evaluate disk space?  He always acts as if the hard drive is full, I can't save anything bigger than 2 GB because he thinks that's all he opened.

I tried disk clean, defragment, properties of the material, Manager Matrix Storage Manager hardware, intel and now compress, then decompress it.  He still refuses to admit that I released 20 GB of space.

    Hi akbk28,

I suggest that you perform a cleaning disc again and see if it helps. Check out the following link and make sure that you follow the steps mentioned.

Description of the tool in Windows XP disk cleanup

  • Amount of disk space available on the disk hard keeps fluctuating.

I have a Compaq CQ2103WM-B desktop running Windows XP, hard disk Go 139.  I started to receive notices of high memory use, began to receive notices of disk space is low. I ran the cleaning disc several times, it has been very slow, constantly showing only 2 bars, sometimes for hours. He finally released the space and I have deleted several programs and files, emptied the trash. After a few minutes the amount of free space started going down again. For several days, I kept repeating this process, but keep decreases the amount of free space on the disk. Now, it fluctuates to the amount of free space on the disk every few minutes. I downloaded and ran CCleaner, it frees up space and again it has disappeared in a few minutes. He got so low that I can't watch videos, use system restore, download other software or software upgrades (like Norton), cannot download pictures from my camera or save files in programs such as Corel Draw. Right now is 3.97 MB free space, he went down in the KBs, sometimes it goes up, but it changes even if I do nothing. I scanned for viruses and malware, Norton managed to reach space, but it lasted only a few minutes. I don't know anything else to try. Would it be a software problem, the malware that Norton cannot detect, the hardware, or if my system has been hacked and someone uses free space on my computer? Any information would be appreciated.

In disk clean up, look for the button "other options" above I think it is, go to the

the bottom of the next page, look for "System Restore" cleaning, this eliminates all but the last

restore, and then mount the disk clean up. In addition, with a 139 GB hd, you must also have video/music

files on the C: drive, perhaps to burn them on a cd. In addition, in my c: drive-count, R.click, open,

Do scroll through folders & see what take place, install a slave drive can be

you are the answer. With this, you can move all data from the user to the slave instead of having

    C: drive handle it all.
