  The only way to bypass the security restrictions on the PDF, is to use the password that the author defined for it. If all goes well, you know who created the PDF, so that you can ask for the password.

• To computer new catalog. Where are the files?

  In order to move to a new company, I installed LR on the new computer and find the catalog on the old computer. I copied the complete catalog file and copied to the new computer and set up this catalog as catalog for the new LR. I can see the file structure but next to each folder, there is a question mark and when I right click, there is an option to 'find the missing folder '. So what did I fact? Have I just moved previews without the real files? If Yes, where the actual files would be? Any help is very appreciated.

  Looks like you did not move the photo files. Here again on the old computer, anywhere where you have stored the (or anywhere where you headed Lightroom to store). The name of the actual file can be seen in the metadata Panel of the Lightroom library Module, it corresponds to the location on the old computer. To move photos to new computer, keep the hierarchy of unchanged files, move everything to the new computer and put the pictures in the same place exactly as on the old computer (if it were to d:\my pictures on the old computer, put them in d:\my pictures on the new computer). If you can not put the photos in the exact same on the new computer, keep the same hierarchy and re - link in Lightroom via these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  I'm not very familiar with profiles.ini. There are probably other volunteers who can tell you the best way to add the new (old) profile name to the file.

  The prefs.js file is small, but you mentioned the copy of your extensions as well, so I thought it would be more convenient copy the entire folder. I think that if you can afford the disk space, it is easier to grasp this. That said, some of the information is redundant with, for example, the bookmarkbackups folder contains many safeguards dated (mine are over 1 MB).   Hello everyone.  I use LR 5.5 on Windows 8.1 and currently having all my images in one catalog. My goal is to separate my images in 3 catalogues separate, based on the object WITHOUT moving/copying files to the location of the existing file structure.

  I organized all the images in 3 different collections in the catalog.  When you select the images in a collection and using the function «Export as catalog...» ", LR still wants to copy the images to the folder that contains the new catalog.  As part of my work, I voluntarily my structure of files organized into a structure of YYYY-MM-DD files on several disks.  I have no desire to move away from this structure.  Instead, I just want LR to create a new database of catalogue with all the metadata associated with the images that I export... including the current location of the files.

  Is - it possible and, if so, how do I remove?  I tried to go on the road to simply duplicate the file *.lrcat a different name and then by deleting items in some catalogs, but which is problematic with the index errors, etc.  I'd rather widely the approach 'additive' anyway to try to keep things as clean as possible with little effort.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  When you run the file > export as catalog command, there is an option to include the negatives. Make sure that it is not selected.

  However, fragmenting the control of your picture collection is a recipe for confusion and I advise you don't not to go forward. With your folder structure, what makes sense, you'll find that each disk a folder will be controlled by catalog object, the next catalog B, in another folder a few photos will be in the catalog and some in the C catalog because you pulled a mixture in one day, and maybe some pictures will get in both catalogs with different settings and metadata (guess that is 'just'). Use metadata to organize photos, not to break your catalog.

  I take pictures with a D70 (canon) and I imported the always without problems. After that an update or installation of an external program from the import dialog box shows not more photos.   iMovie accepts more mpg files. The easiest way to work with them is in the finder do a right-click on the mpg file and select "encode the selected video files. In the dialog box that appears, choose the desired conversion. The converted file appears in the import iMovie window, and you can import it.

  1. pick up your player Sansa Clip - the physical drive you bought.

  2. activate.

  3. press the small 'home' button, the small button on the front of the item located at the top right of the Ferris wheel - it's the small button with the little house printed on it.

  4. press on the lower part of the wheel (at 06:00 position) until the screen shows the settings.

  5. press once on the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position) to access settings options.

  6. press on the lower part of the wheel (at 06:00 position) until the display shows USB mode.

  7. press the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position) once to enter USB mode options.

  8. tap up or down the Ferris wheel (at 12 and 06:00 positions) and select the USB setting menu is currently not checked (I think that this will be the PSG; ignore the setting "Auto", for the reasons I stated above), then select it by pressing the right side of the wheel (at 03:00 position).

  9. you have now set your video mode MTP USB drive.  Press the small home button twice to return to the regular game mode.

  PS As I said earlier, the USB modes, the MSC mode (compared to the MTP mode) is more universal and will work on multiple computers.  If you use a video player on other computers, you can set your video player in MSC mode, to ensure that it will connect to other computers.  If this is the case and if your video player has been set to MTP mode so far, before changing the setting of mode USB mode MSC, to be able to see all files in the reader of your video on your computer, first copy the files from the drive of your music back to your computer delete them out of your video player, set the Clip Player USB Service mode weather of the Canada (see above) and then copy the files to your video player.  This ensures that you can see all the files of your video player when it is connected to your computer.

  Sounds to me like your files is of variable image files that are not compatible with the first.  Search for "Handbrake".
