Import bookmarks html does not (YES, I know it IS really a file html and not JSON)

My goal is to make a global montage for the bookmarks in a folder. To do this, I exported to a HTML file, open this file in Notepad, remove all other bookmarks and done a search-replace to correct those I was trying hard. Save the file and tried to import into Firefox. I * can * open the file and see the links, and I can use import and backup for the file and select it to import. However, after that, nothing happens.

Do you have the less leaves the overall folder structure in the file?

<!DOCTYPE NETSCAPE-Bookmark-file-1>

 (bookmarks)
</DL><p>

Where did you get these bookmarks?

Have you done a search?

    If Windows hides the AppData folder on the old disk, you can disable hide files and folders: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

  • Recently restructured PC. Tried to import bookmarks HTML, but nothing happens. Tried other browsers, still does not work. How can I fix?

    Before reformat my PC, I exported all my favorites via the HTML file. I reformatted, installed Firefox, then attempted to import all my favorites. I go to the import function and choose the bookmarks HTML file and nothing happens at all. I tried to use other browsers for import, but nothing happens. I don't know how to solve this problem.

    I thought that maybe I could transfer the HTML file in a JSON file, but I couldn't find a way to do it, even after it is renamed file extensions. The HTML file may possibly be corrupt? I'm running out of ideas on how to do to import my favorites!

    I really need to solve this problem, please help!

    I managed to fix it.

    (1) I opened the HTML file with notepad.
    (2) I then went to file > save as >

      -Then changed the file type to, "All Types"

    (3) then in file name I named it Bookmarks.JSON

      -The HTML file now saved as a JSON backup and I was able to import it.

    However,.

    There is still no patch or reason to explain why the backup HTML does not. I strongly suggest you Firefox fix, as it was highly agitation.

  • FF22 and prefs.js custom installation, bookmarks.html and override.ini FF23 does not

    Try to customize the installation of FF22 or FF23 for business environment.

    I have done this several times with several previous versions. FF19 and 20 being the latest versions of success, it worked. (I wasn't 21).

    All I ever had to do was to extract the FF setup.exe and add three files. Then run setup.exe - ms to perform the custom installation. None of these files have changed for some time.

    core\override.ini
    core\defaults\profile\prefs.js
    core\defaults\bookmarks.html

    With FF23 and FF22, none of these changes work not at all. What has changed and how to fix it? Or is it a bug that needs added to Bugzilla?

    TIA for any help.

    Please can you help. Where can I get the bookmarks?
    Thank you
    Dr. Anthony Wood

    You can usually find favorites IE imported into a folder ("Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the file Menu Bookmarks (bookmarks > show all bookmarks).

    If you cannot find them in the folder "From Internet Explorer" then try this:

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML: file > import and export
    • Import the HTML file in Firefox: bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import HTML: from a file

  • Import QtQuick, onThumbNail() does not

    Hello!

    The documentation for the Application:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/Cascades/reference/bb__cascades__application.html#thumbnail

    Provides the following code to onThumbnail:

    import QtQuick 1.0
    import bb.cascades 1.0

    Page {
        Container {
            // The Connections element is not visual and must be an attached object.
            attachedObject: [
                Connections {
                    target: Application
                    onThumbnail: {
                        applicationThumbnailed();
                    }
                }
            ]
        }
        // Other QML
    }

    However as soon as I import QtQuick, the app deploys, opens, then stays on the loading of BlackBerry screen. Commenting on this release fixes the problem (but obviously then the element connections does not work).

    Don't know why I have to import QtQuick in the first place, I thought that Cascades is a separate Qt than qtquick branch?

    I noticed there are a few people who got frames/covers assets to work, but the code is c + c++ / no address onThumbnail changes.

    Any ideas?

    I am trying to capture the events where the app is more to the point, so I can show a particular screen 'pause' (as if the user had touched the pause button in the app).

    Kind regards

    Med

    I said also that using connections works fine, as long as you import QtQuick like this. (At least, I checked with beta 3 in an early test, but haven't used since.)

    I use most of these signals State window and app, especially Application.thumbnail. The specific line that I use fits into a broader framework to support this through several applications, but currently, it looks like this:

        Application.thumbnail.connect(function () { dispatch('windowStateChanged', {state: 'thumbnail'}) });

    Obviously, my dispatch() function is reused for other signals, etc., but is that it works fine for me.  In fact I use it to record my status app, for example, changes in parameters, because it offends me to write in the file system whenever the user changes a single parameter (when they can change another 10 immediately after)...

  • Fusion 8 trial goes wrong - Win8.1 VM, imported from Parallels, does not start

    I was pretty many small problems with Parallels, so I thought that I had trial VMware. After importing my Parallels VM, it does not start in Fusion. A few details:

    Fusion 8.0.1 - 3094680, downloaded today VMware.

    I installed it, accepting all the defaults. Let him import my Parallels VM work. From the first test, wouldn't start Windows. After using Windows for many years, I am familiar with its built-in startup repair functions, so I followed, as follows:

    All down took place inside the virtual machine in the virtual machine window, at the start of the first attempt.

    "Your PC came across a problem..." »

    "Automatic repair".

    "Diagnosis of your PC", which recommended that I just tried the reboot, so I did.

    "Your PC came across a problem..." »

    "Automatic repair".

    ""Diagnose your PC' this time, I chose Advanced Options > troubleshooting > Advanced Options > startup repair, which took me through "diagnose your PC", check disk for errors, ""repair disk errors. That has not helped - I found myself at the beginning: "Your PC came across a problem..." »

    I tried again the whole process and am still unable to boot: "Your PC came across a problem..." »

    Oh, my Mac is a MBP, the model of 2014, the 16 GB of RAM, a Yosemite OS X fully updated running. There are about 150 GB of SSD disk space, and the virtual machine is set to 8 GB of RAM.

    Any ideas? I'll be happy to check if suggested things and report.

    The first thing I would try would be to uninstall the drivers/additions/tools from inside the virtual machine before you import it - that is to say from inside Parallels.  Have you tried?

    Check that Parallels knows that it is a virtual machine Windows 8.1 (or the closest guest OS type he understands).  We rely on the knowledge of the OS type asked to perform various tasks during the import, and we could get confused if it is not correctly set prior to importation.  By the way, check what disk controller, we chose to use for the virtual hard disk.  SATA is probably the safest option, but I can't predict with certainty how it works if you use a type of controller of different disk for the virtual machine in Parallels.

    I hope it's useful!  Feel free to post them here if none of these solves the problem.

    See you soon,.

  • My star bookmark icon does not show my favorites already recorded. My Favorites still exist just unordered, bookmarks section that the star icon does not read the

    Hello. My Bookmark star icon does not read my favorites. I can always use it to record the new bookmarks, but I don't see the 'old'. My Favorites are still there, but the star remains white when I open them and shows them as not saved. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Some added addons toolbar and anti-virus are known to cause
    Firefox issues. Disable all of them.

    When the star is to check the Bookmarks Manager, he must control
    all the entries in the file. It could be that the bookmark of the webpage has been deleted.
    Or the sea address have changed. I'm not aware of entries to the
    bookmarks being blocked, unless you have something blocking the changes.
