  I understand that shift key of your MacBook Pro does not respond as before. Fortunately the steps below can help to restore the functionality of the SHIFT key on your Mac.

  1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. On the view menu, choose the speech.
  3. Click on the text to Speech tab.
  4. If "Text Speak selected when you press the button" is enabled, the key or combination of keys set to read the text cannot be used for other purposes, or used for typing text - click on set the key and replace it with a less commonly used key combination (try using the modifier such as SHIFT keys, command) Option and control).   I understand that you are unable to scan from your wireless Officejet 4500 to your Mac with the Mavericks.

  There is no comprehensive driver features available for this model of printer with the Mavericks, which is probably the reason why you are facing this problem. There are, however, bypass the options for you to scan.

  I have several USB thumb drives, some of them do not work when I plug them in while others work very well. By experimenting, I reduced the problem with the 64-bit Version Windows. All of these USB keys works well in my other computers that have 32-bit installed and also even computer with the 32-bit version installed on different hard drive. All of these thumdrives are detected immediately and works without a problem. The 64-bit version, I have uninstalles and reinstalled readers, drivers updated for readers and controllers USB chipset, reasigning letter drive without a resolution of the problem.

  It is interesting to know that this problem only occurs with some discs that I (like Ativa 4 GB, 4 GB generic and Verbatim 4 GB). While I discovered that you can do all the nonworking day thumdrives work once if you shutdown computer and plug the thumdrive into the USB port and the computer to boot, boot time is longer than usual and when it is operational in 30 to 45 seconds drive appears in the list of devices and you can read, write and format normally without any problem to experiment. • HP Officejet 6600: Fax/copy/scanning does not work

  I'm unable to use my fax/copy/scan on the printer functions.  The printer works well when printing from the computer.  I've done all the troubleshooting... Disconnect, restart it (printer and computer), etc.  All the reports that I ran to the 'troubleshooting' return with all PASSES.  But when I re - try these functions, the printer display "starting fax" or "Start scan" and "start copy."  I've been here for the last 10 minutes trying to get a copy, and the screen is still showing "start copy".  And while they are 'begins', I am unable to 'x', so I put off the printer.  The printer is 2 years old and we bought the extended warranty expired 2 months ago thanks for any help you can provide.
