import music from the external drive to new itunes

Hello... Had to delete and reinstall all iOS on my MacBook Pro 2012. Have always worked iTunes on an external drive. All my music is and do not want it on my computer. Can not find a way to import it back in to new 12.4.0.119 Capitan 10.11.5 running iTunes. Help, please.

Do you mean OSX? iOS does not work on a computer.

Launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the iTunes external hard disk folder. If all you have on the media on your external drive then the structure of your library is lost and you must start with a new library. Go to iTunes > Preferences > advanced and set to use your external hard disk's current media folder.  In a window of iTunes, then drag your media folder.

  • How to transfer music from the flash drive to the Windows Media Player library

    Windows Media Player

How transfer music from my USB to Windows Media Player.

    Hi johndeere,.

Copy music from the external hard drive to record music and make sure that this folder is set to be monitored by Windows Media Player.

    a. to add or remove folders follow these steps:

    b. click on tools in Windows Media player

    c. then select Options.

    d. click on the Library tab

    e. and then click monitor folders.

    f. to add a folder to the folder list, click Add. Navigate to the folder of your choice.

    g. click OK.

Windows Media Player keeps track of the files on your hard drive. It monitors new files, renamed files, deleted or moved files. When it detects changes, it updates automatically the media library. Windows Media Player watches my music, my videos files and default recorded TV.

  • Photos app: Import Photos from the hard drive

    Hello

I have a number too many photos on my hard disk, divided into several folders (albums).
When I try the import option, from the Photos App it shows me all the photos (3000) on my hard drive and I have to choose each picture to import.
It is a simple and hassle-free way to achieve by choosing just one folder to import?
    Any help much appreciated.

raghavendralr, once you have your photos on your computer Windows 8 files, you will need to include the folder where you have your photos in the photo library so that the Photos app to see.  Then you should be able to use the Photos app to browse your photos.

To add a folder to your photo library, right click on the folder in the desktop browser, select "Include in the library" - "Images".  More details: in Office Explorer (to open it, press Win - E), expand the node for the computer in the left pane and continue to expand folders until you see the folder that contains your photos.  In the left pane, right click on the folder icon and select from the contextual pop-up menu "Include in the library" - "Images".

Return of the Photos app, click the thumbnail of the picture library on the home page, you should see the contents of your folder newly added shortly.

Alternatively you can copy/move your files in your existing images folder which is by default already in your photo library.  In the left pane of the Explorer desktop, expand libraries - images to see what files are in your photo library already.

    Hope that helps.

"You cannot copy"Windows Vista.vmwarevm"because it has the same name as another article on volume of destination, and that the volume is not making the distinction between upper and lower case in file names."

To this folder on the Mac you copy it and what else is in this folder when copy you it.  I hope also merger is closed when you try to copy.

Another thing you can do is inside the packaging of the Virtual Machine, there are two folders, Applications, and appListCache, I always delete before copy/move and these will be recreated and the reason why I do it, it is I saw copy fail until they have been deleted, although generally, it is one of the app in the Applications folder with the module of Virtual Machine that caused the problem.

  • How to import music from my iPhone to a new Mac?

I recently bought a 13 "Macbook Pro and tried to sync music from my iPhone to the laptop, and yet when I tried to watch iTunes says that he wants to wipe the phone to sync it to the new computer. If I do this, I lose everything, because my old computer Microsoft is irreparably damaged and I do not have a backup of my music. Considering that I have thousands of songs on my phone I do not disappear and be replaced by those that I bought through iTunes. Is there a possible way to transfer my music on my Mac without wiping the phone?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • Boot from the external drive via eSATA

    Hi all
I have an external drive which I'm currently starting as a USB device.  The outside also has an eSATA port that I want to be able to boot from. However, when I go into the bios boot area to choose the boot order, there is no option to start using eSATA, USB only.  The Port of the computer's eSATA/USB port.
This is so my question, how can I get the bios boot option to be able to select an eSATA?
    Thanks for the help

From what I can find, HP didn't include the option to boot from the port eSATA on this computer.

Many others have asked about this on the HP forum.

I would check with HP support, however, since it is the BIOS that must support this function.

    Windows cannot change it.

  • Vista boot from the external drive

    Dear Sir.

I recently installed a new hard drive in my Lenovo x 300 laptop and I'm now running Windows 7.  The original hd with Vista, I moved into a box external usb drive, but which fails to start (blue screen after display of the famous Green startup progress bar).

I think that Vista is lack drivers for my usb drive.  Is it possible to make this work?

    Thank you

    Joeri

You can not boot Vista from a USB key.  You can leave a disk external eSATA connected to a SATA port, if you have a.

If you do not have a SATA port or do not want to buy an external SATA drive enclosure, you can virtualize Vista system and the VHD can reside on any drive.  You can use VMWare for virtualization.  See their website for details and the software.

  • WRT1990AC stop 2.4 GHz WLAN from the external drive is connected

I have a very strange problem with my newly bought WRT1900AC

Everything works fine, but as soon as I connect my USB to the router (whether on USB1 or USB2 port), 2.4 GHz WLAN no longer works.

Oddly enough, the thinkgs still router, 2.4 GHZ WLAN works very well. But no matter what device will attempt to connect to it will tell me "unable to connect".

As soon as I unplug the USB, the router restarts (why?) and the 2.4 GHz is available again.

Note that this affects only the 2.4 GHz WLAN, not the 5 GHz or the LAN ports.

What happens here? Is there something wrong with my USB? Should we neet a special format perhaps? Or is this a known bug?

The router firmware version is 1.1.8.164461

Each USB device has a different driver. Not all are configured in the firmware of WRT1900AC:
